The sun had already sunk below the trees. It had been that way for hours. Naturally, you wouldn't expect anybody to be awake. But at 3 AM in the morning, Nathaniel was on the run, escaping Central Park. Escaping the war torn grass, that not a single giant could see. The battle raged on below, out of their possible vision. Minis, being roughly around the size of ants, went virtually unnoticed. And for a long time, that was the way it was meant to be. That was what the elders thought was safe. But when the rebellion arose, Nathan stood by the sides of those wanting to unite the two species. For both could benefit from an alliance.
Panting, having run for about a half of a mile (his size), the brown haired rebel found himself at a gigantic door. Easily sneaking under, he saw a hallway, filled with more doors than he could possibly fathom. And a machine that seemed to bring the giants to even more doors. Not taking too much time to think about, Nathan picked a door at random, hoping for the best. Stumbling into a small apartment, he was not surprised that he could hear the giant's loud snores, coming from the other room. Making his way towards them, he half wondered if he was making a good decision. Certainly there had to be reasons Minis never tried this before. But perhaps those reasons were simply the fear inflicted upon them by the elders. Sighing, the hazel eyed man continued forward, knowing there was no turning back now.
It was about 5 AM when he finally realized he was getting exhausted. Sure, it was possible for Minis to go without sleep. But that was incredibly unwise. And so without much thought, Nathan stumbled towards a pair of clean cotton caves. Climbing inside, he went deep before falling asleep. Little did he know, he had just decided to snooze in the giant's socks.

Waking up at 5 A.M. with no alarm seems to be the stuff of legend, a strange power that belongs only to Disney princesses. Stacey would have liked to think herself a princess at least when she was a lot younger. But these days, nope. She was a normal teenager who woke up "in the middle of the night" desparate for chips.
The brunette's eyes shot open, and her hand darted for her phone. After about 15 minutes dawdling on the screen, she finally addressed her craving and crept out of bed, slipping into her sandals to head down the hall and into her small kitchen. The air was chilly to her that morning...perhaps it was because she'd left her ceiling fan on during the night so that she would have some sound other than silence to coax her to sleep. She glanced down at her socks on the floor, the ones she'd worn for all of three hours the previous day. Let's see...do I really want to put on a used pair of socks? It always feels so...clammy or something.
Stacey bent down and plucked the socks off the floor, inspecting them. Can I stand it?

Now Nathan was only around 19, perhaps a little bit young for the rebellion. Especially considering he was a leader. But he too saw the way giants could be useful. And his parents having been killed when they could've been saved with the proper equipment, that's what drove him. He saw things that giants had, things he could only dream of. He hoped they would help him. But first, he had to make contact.
All the while, the young man was unaware of what was going on. Sleeping, getting rest for the morning. The roaring earthquakes that were made when the giant took her steps did nothing whatsoever to stir him. It was only when his world began tumbling around that Nathaniel realized what was going on. The giant was awake, he hadn't had much sleep, and worst of all, he was much unprepared to make communications. For that matter, he wasn't even quite sure where he was anymore. He recalled a white, soft cave, but it couldn't have been a cave. Not if the giant was able to pick it up. Which made him wonder, What did I get myself into?
Looking up, he saw the giant's face peering down, oblivious to him. That wasn't a good sign at all.

For a few more seconds, Stacey kept her eyes on the socks, her gaze seemingly locked straight on to the Mini inside. However, she took no notice of him. Instead, her eyebrows furrow in as she made her final decision. "Nah!" she dismissed, lazily tossing the socks behind her. It's not that cold anymore, anyway. you expected a frozen reference, didn't you? The brunette continued into the hallway, disappearing from the room to grab an unfinished bag of Takis. Oh yes, that is a very wise decision for the most important meal of the day.
Stacey brought the bag back with her on the bed, letting her sandals fly off her feet and the covers fall into her lap. The whole apartment was quiet, except for her obnoxious crunching. Sleepy, she stared off into space at one of her socks which had managed to land on the bed when she'd tossed it.

The booming voice that practically sealed his fate frightened him, as he, along with the socks, went flying behind her. If Minis could hurl, he probably would've in that moment. Landing with the sock on the bed, he shook his head, accidentally breathing in the smell. It wasn't bad, considering he hadn't noticed it until now, but when his face was laying against the fabric, the odor was unsurprisingly heightened. Coughing, he thought to himself, It's alright, I just gotta let it go. You're a better person than I xD
The earth shook more furiously than ever before, when the giant reclaimed her place on the bed. Deciding it would be best to leave the "cave", Nathaniel began climbing out, and onto the new terrain that was her bed.

Stacey continued munching on her chips, her gaze wandering towards her window. Being around 5 a.m., the sun wouldn't be out for a while, but the city was starting to buzz with that New York activity. I remember being too scared to look out the window, back before I lived here. So many floors, I doubt a creeper's going to pop up.
Perhaps she thought that too soon. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught some movement on her covers. Immediately, her vision darted to the bed, in case it was some evil spider crawling towards her Chile powdered hands. No, not a spider, but...what WAS that? Curiosity gnawing at her, Stacey lowered her head to stare directly at the object...no way...a person!? Alarm shot through her. No way! Stacey lept back out of bed, ditching her Takis to quickly slip her sandals back on (no matter what, she will not get her feet fuzzy from the carpeting. That would feel weird!). "M-m-mom! Check this -!"
Wait...right...she was alone. This was her apartment. She lived here by herself, only 18. She had to take care of the bugs and the monsters under the bed herself. "Gosh, you're creepy!" That was all she could think of to say at the moment. She had to let this creature know she was not amused.

The loud crunching of the giant's chips made Nathan remember the stories told, of how giants would eat Minis for a snack, had they known they existed. And they'd crunch their bodies for fun. Shaking his head, he knew that wasn't true. It couldn't be. Man didn't get this far by being cruel. But still, it sent chills down his spine.
Looking up, finally, he saw the giants eyes gaze down towards him, and he nearly jumped as her head had gotten closer. Sure, he knew they were big, but it was only dawning on him now just how big they were. When she caught a glimpse of him, she jumped, causing the entire bed to shake. He found himself launched to nearly the edge of the bed, just barely hanging on. And yet, as she called him creepy, he knew he needed to get her attention. Or rather, get to her to communicate, he done well already got her attention. Thinking, and judging, Nathaniel made a call he had to make, if he was going to get her help.
Taking a deep breath, he got to his feet. And with no warning to the giant above, he stepped backwards a few steps, before dashing forwards, and jumping. And amazing, he landed squarely where he hoped, on the top of her foot. (As much as she might not like the fuzzies, she probably doesn't like a Mini on her foot even more.) It hurt a little, but he was fine. Now he had to think of some sort of introduction.

Away from the bed, Stacey's eyes scanned the mattress for the creature. Yeah, she'd called it creeoy, but it had completely escaped her sights. What do I do? Get a jar or something? Poor Stacey was hopeless when it came to acting fast. However, at least she found the creature. Feeling the light mass on her foot, Stacey's eyes widened, and she let out a shriek. "What are you!?" She cried. Anyone would do the same.

Clinging to the skin of her foot, as she jumped again, Nathan realized he didn't have time to think too much. Thinking, sending his thoughts to her brain, he said, "My name is Nathan, and I need your help." If she was willing to help him after the scare he gave her, perhaps everything would be fine. But if she dismissed him, his mission would have been for nothing.

(She feels so generic xc )
The sound which came from the creature was a slight one, but Stacey could make out the word "help." Although she was still frightened, that one little word made all the difference. After all, this thing was smaller than her, alone (from what she could tell), probably more scared of her than she was of it. However she wasn't taking chances. "What are you?"

(She's not generic. We just need to break her in. c;)
Getting the feeling that perhaps he wasn't getting through all the way, Nathan began thinking of a way to make his connection clearer. And then, it came to him like a lightbulb. Getting up, he walked down her foot and climbed down in between her second and third toe. He was surrounded, and hopefully the increased surface area would help his message get through better. "I'm Nathan. I'm a Mini, and I need your help. Rather, Minikind needs your help."
