As said in my siggie, I generally pop on here when I'm craving to either do some coding for layouts or simply RP. Now is one of those times as I sit, abandoned by my friends during school holidays *sigh*
...anyway.
I'm in the mood to RP. What, I don't know as of yet, but I'm willing to take any and all suggestions right now
Generally I like adventure/fantasy/medieval kind of stuff, but I'm up for whatever.

I really like medieval criminals. We could do something like Robin Hood maybe?
Like maybe some sorta knight is chasing a criminal but the criminal's a pretty decent guy? Idk, you have any ideas?

tbh now all I'm thinking of is this criminal who keeps getting caught by the same soldier as they are stealing stuff, but the soldier always ends up finding reasons to let them go/help them escape prison because the soldier knows that the criminal is just trying to help out the poor. And the criminal is now purposely getting caught and is trying to recruit the soldier to their cause to 'fight against the patriarchy' and 'demand what they all know these innocent people deserve' XD.

Oh I love that so much, we have to do that.
You mind if I play the soldier? I really love "law and order" type characters.
And should this just be normal medieval, or should we throw in some DnD/Tolkein elements? Like dwarves and magic and stuff?

Yeeessss awesome And yes of course you can do the soldier! (tbh i lowkey wanted to be the criminal anyways XD) and I'm up for throwing in some of that kind of stuff with the dwarves and magic and all, could make it interesting!
I actually have a necromancer I made a while back that could work for this :3 Anyway, did you want to do character descriptions before we start or just during the RP?

I don't really feel like writing a whole form, so why don't we just start RPing?
I do know that my character will be a half-elf then, because I love half-elves. hate full elves though, pfft
Speaking of, you mind starting? Or should I?

Sounds good to me, and I'll start I generally just try and match post length as well, so as we get going, I'll end up making my responses shorter or longer as needed.
Katarina could hear her heart pounding in her ears. Her pale hands were shaking, and she quickly clenched them into fists, refusing to allow her body's natural instincts to overrule her. Her blue eyes narrowed in on her target, a loaf of bread that had been left unattended on a windowsill by the baker. Forcing a deep breath of crisp night air into her lungs, she squeezed her hands one last time and then uncurled them, letting her slender fingers rest gently on the outside of her skirts. She despised the long materials, they got in the way when she was hurrying off from a crime scene, but they did however, provide her with some good hiding spots to stash the items she'd...happened...across.
The young lady stepped out from the shadow between the two buildings, and joining a group of people walking down the side of the road, towards the particular window she was oh so very interested in. As the group approached, Katarina lagged a few steps behind, and then, as she passed the window, snatched the loaf of bread and stuffed it into the pocket she'd sewn into the inside of her cloak. The move had seemed almost natural, as if the girl had merely lifted her hand to swat away a bug, but someone who had been watching her would have easily seen the item of food disappear.
Hurrying to catch up with the group of strangers, Katarina hung a step or two behind, so as not to draw attention to herself from the group, but still make it appear she was with them. Barely containing a smile, the young woman soon split off from the group, down between two houses, and then began searching for the little girl she'd stolen for.

OOC: My reply length varies a whoooole bunch depending on my muse, so don't feel like you're required to always match me because I'm sure as heck not gonna match you all the time.
BIC: Always a few steps behind Katarina was a relatively unassuming man, who managed to blend in with whoever was passing at that moment as he kept up with the criminal. He wore a short cloak to disguise his city watch armor, though its general bulkiness was a bit hard to mask. His name was Elfyr, a name given by his human mother in order to immediately distinguish him as a half-elf and also make him resent her throughout his entire childhood.
Elfyr recognized Katarina when she passed by not fifteen minutes ago, mostly due to their many encounters before, and he was well-acquainted with her tendency to steal whatever she could. Yet he couldn't bring himself to hate her, as her motives were just, even if her methods were wanting.
He saw her steal the loaf of bread(of course: he'd been keeping a close eye on her due to her record), and when she ducked between the houses, he smiled to himself(he did secretly enjoy this game of cat and mouse), and immediately took off to pursue her. Subtly was thrown out the window. There were no people to hide with in the alley. His legs were longer and he knew the city like the back of his hand: he'd be able to chase her.
"Stop!" He hollered.

"Stop!" The voice that was oh so familiar to her set Katarina's blood boiling. Of course it had to be this time that he caught her. Out of all of them, it just had to be one this day, at this time, for this particular item. She knew that in the end she would be able to get out of her cell with relative ease, or maybe, just maybe, she would be able to not even have to get in one to start with. For some reason, she doubted her luck with that tonight though. She had been caught and released a few times too many recently to be able to slip away with just slap on the wrist.
As she picked up her pace, bolting through the streets, darting past the few people still roaming about, Katarina debated what to do. The bread was still surprisingly heavy in her pocket and she knew that she had to get it to the little girl. Katarina would be able to survive a few days without food whilst she laid low after getting out of prison, this little girl, however, could not and should not have to wait that long before her next meal.
Not one to give up easily, Katarina set her course of action, hoping the little one had stayed where she had first seen her. She also hoped that Elfyr wouldn't throw everything he had into this particular game of chase, as she knew, that when it came down to it, she could never outrun him. Outsmart him, maybe, but not outrun. Even as that thought crossed her mind, a spark of joy pulsed in her chest, she just had to get around this corner and the little girl should be right...
Katarina skidded to a halt, bread in hand, looking into the gloomy darkness that seemed to be growing thicker by the second. It wasted a few precious moments, but after a hurried scan of the shadows, Katarina finally managed to spot the girl. She was curled up beside the wall, her bony frame shaking with the cold already. Glancing over her shoulder, Katarina once more knew she simply had to do what had to be done. She shoved the bread into the girls hands and then swiped off her cloak in a hurried movement, the fabric getting tangled around her shoulders as she did. Ripping the garment off, she curled it around the little girl and then turned to face the guard who was chasing her. Hopefully she could distract him for long enough to leave the little girl alone. She had some slight doubts that Elfyr would one day change his mind and actually reclaim the goods she'd stolen for those less fortunate.

Elfyr ripped off his own cloak and threw it at another guard as he ran past, mostly to get it out of his way. Of course he didn't call for them to help out: Katarina was his criminal, and Elfyr's pride wouldn't let anyone else help him.
He wasn't the smartest person around, coincidentally.
The half-elf ducked and danced around people whenever he could, but of course he ended up running into a drunk leaving the tavern, bowling the already unsteady man over completely. Elfyr stumbled and slowed just a bit, and, just his luck, the drunk latched onto his ankle, mumbling incoherently.
"Get off!" Elfyr hissed in annoyance, kicking him off and running a short distance away. He growled. Where the heck had she gone? She'd been running in the direction of the alley, and that seemed like a pretty logical place for her to go and hide, so he ran off in that direction, albeit a little slower and more cautiously than his original speed(she had a bit of time to set up an ambush), with his club at the ready.
There. She had been waiting. Elfyr advanced, meeting Katarina's gaze, "you're under arrest, Katarina." He said, keeping a firm grip on his weapon, "are you going to come quietly this time?"

Katarina watched as Elfyr approached, eyeing the hand that was holding his club at the ready. She had a few options, none of which seemed to give any desirable end. Well, for her anyway. Katarina silently debated the question, assessing her options and escape routes. What this really came down to for the girl was how much she cared about her pride. Katarina could see four possible choices for herself.
One: Deny the charges. Unlikely to work this time, considering she had the strong suspicion that Elfyr had been watching her during the entire thing. He also wasn't as easy to foul as some of the other guards, and knew her record very well.
Two: Fight. Living on the streets had taught her some nasty moves to use in a fight, but Katarina, for the most part, was relatively unwilling to use them. She also knew, realistically that she would not be able to take on a city guard in this particular situation. If she had the element of surprise, maybe, but she was basically cornered right now, so she believed she didn't stand a chance. No point in getting bruises when it could be avoided.
Three: Run. Much like her fighting option, Katarina knew she was cornered, what with the cold, stone wall to her back and all. Her eyes scanned the alley behind Elfyr, and the young woman figured she might have a chance at darting past this guard and slipping away. a voice, however reminded her that he could catch up to her with relative ease, and that she also didn't know who was waiting out there for her. For all she knew, there could be more guards just waiting for to run right into their grasp.
Which left the fourth and final option. Surrender. Although it would provide a massive blow to her ego, Katarina figured that it would be the wisest option for this particular occasion. It may even earn her some points in the eyes of Elfyr. Something she could possibly use to her advantage at a later date. She hoped it would provide useful.
With a dramatic sigh and toss of her black hair, the young woman thrust out her pale wrists, the veins a clear blue map up her arms. "I'll go without making too much trouble." She said lightly, refusing to look the guard in the eye. She would not give him the satisfaction.
