Mistflower looked at Eagletalon, "can you talk to Dovestar for me? She looked down about something but I have to head to the medicine den and can't go talk to her myself." She mewed, coming up with an excuse to convince him to go speak to the leader.

Dovestar looked away, "its... complicated." She mewed, not wanting to chase him away but worried about having to admit her feelings.

"Um okay." Eagletalon looked down at his paws for a few moments. He looked up at Dovestar and decided to change the subject. "Um what do you want to talk about instead?"

Dovestar nodded, "that's good." She sensed a little bit of tenseness between him and Mistflower. "Is everything okay with Mistflower? It seemed tense between you two."

Dovestar looked away, "oh..." she had a feeling of what he could've said that made things awkward between the two and it hurt her. "I'm um.... sorry that it's awkward." Her voice sounded upset in a way she didn't mean for it to be.

Dovestar tucked her front paws under her as she looked up at him. "Something that I need to deal with on my own." Her gaze held sadness and a look that could be taken as one of love and heartbreak.

Eagletalon blinked as he gazed at Dovestar. He didn't like seeing her look this sad. "Are you sure?" He asked tilting his head to the side.

The young leader looked at him, seeing the worry in his expression. "There's nothing you could do to help Eagletalon." She was fully convinced that he did not have feelings for her.

Eagletalon walked over and licked his cheek. "Still you look prettier when you are happy." He blinked. There goes his mouth again. "I mean uh not that you aren't pretty now."

Dovestar looked up at him, her heart was racing. "Eagletalon..." she wasn't completely sure how to react after he'd told her about what happened between him and Mistflower and was now showing that he cared for her and not Mistflower.

Ealgetalon blushed and slowly looked up at her face. He did have a crush on Dovestar first before he shifted his gaze to Mistflower. Maybe this was his chance? Did she even want a mate?

Dovestar averted her gaze, she wanted to trust him and be with him but suddenly she was afraid he'd go after Mistflower or some other she-cat again. She sighed softly, unsure of if she should say anything. She wanted him to say something.

Eagletalon wanders and lets his mind wandeer. He was trying to decide between Dovestar and Mistflower. Both were really beautiful she-cats.

Dovestar closed her eyes and curled her tail over her nose. No one would choose her, not as long as she was leader. It came with too many responsibilities.

After wandering round for a good hour, Eagletalon decided to head back. He managed to pick up a flower on the way and hoped to present it to Dovestar. He was going to do his best to woo her.

Dovestar lay in her den still, her tail curled over her nose. She was slightly dozing now but would still awaken to the slightest sound.
