The opposite for me. One morning, I discovered that I had written in all caps on my whiteboard, "DINOSAURS". This was because I had an idea for a comedy sketch the previous night where it opens with a shot of a high school with a girl's voice saying things like, "I'm not really popular like the other girls...sigh..." blah blah high school trope-y stuff. Then it cuts to inside the school where everything is normal but the girl talking is a T. rex in a school uniform and everyone else is a person. Half-asleep me though this was comedy gold, enough to get up and write down.

oh my goodness that is kind of funny considering you were half asleep.
One time I was in and out of sleep and figured out how to pass this really difficult level on a game that had stumped my entire family. So I get on the game the next morning and it worked my brain seems to think that it can be dumb all day when I need it but at night it's like "Now I shall reveal my true form"

The more tired I am, the better I am at useless trivia, like if I'm laying in bed trying to go to sleep, and a game show is on, I know all the answers.
Ironically, the more tired I am, the more southern my accent gets as well, though I don't see what one has to do with the other.
