Fuzzystar gave her a nod and padded away to join Cloudpuff, Swiftpaw, and now Yewpaw as they ate in a corner of the camp. He began chatting with them and was soon updated by the apprentices on their training. He was pleased to hear that it was all going well and they may have their assessment soon. Unfortunately, Cloudpuff informed him that Owlpaw may need more time to train before he even attempts an assessment due to his lack of skill. -- Blackmist looked up as Lightbringer came in, purring with a vole in her mouth. "Good news, I assume?" He asked, amusement in his gravelly voice and a certain light in his otherwise dull eyes. He felt surprisingly excited to hear the news, the reason it was surprising being that he almost never felt 'excitement' anymore.

LightBringer dropped the fresh kill at BlackMist's paws. "he said i could join! i may have to work harder to earn some of the other cats trust, but i dont mind that. im just happy to have a place to call home." she mewed excitedly. her eyes were bright, and her body seemed more vibrant with the news. "hey BlackMist, is there anything else you need me to do? maybe if you're running low on something, i could go and get some more?" the she-cat suggested.

"Mmm, I believe I'm okay on everything but Cobwebs." He told her through a mouthful of vole that he quickly chewed and swallowed despite his rotting teeth. "Choose a warrior and tell them to lead you toward the twisted trees, they have the best supply over there. Be wary of spiders, though, some are poisonous and we don't have a complete cure for it yet." He gave her a cautious look before taking another large bit of the fresh-kill.

"thank you for the warning" LightBringer purred, before padding out of the den and glancing around. she wasnt sure who was who yet, but she knew FlameFace, so she looked for him. Her tail tip twitches with excitement, and shes purring continuously, pleased to be a part of a clan again.

Flameface was play-fighting with Twitterberry, the two toms grappling with laughs and playful hisses. It was a little bit of a funny sight, with Twitterberry being a tiny, short furred blue tom and Flameface being a large, fluffy, tortoiseshell. They were almost complete opposites but they were very good friends, that being obvious with how they chuckled when they separated.

LightBringer pads over, and waits for them to finish playfighting. "hey FlameFace! could you show me where the twisted trees are? im gathering more cobwebs for BlackMist" the she-cat meowed out loudly, her voice happy as she watched her new clan mates.

Cats name: DarkHeart Fur Color: Midnight Black Eye Color: Icy Blue Personality: Likes to explore, but very cautious in unknown areas. Happy, loyal, Go-Lucky personality, yet very confrontational if threatened. Can be very cruel and cynical to those who seek out to hurt him in anyway. Flaw is that he can be gullible. Can be a valuable hunter, but a better fighter. History: When he was a kittypet, he was very relaxed and laid back. When his owner would come home, he would avoid him. That made him lonely, so he learned to amuse himself. When his owner passed on, he ran off. He seeked out shelter in a hollowed out tree, and soon made it his den. Eventually, he was accepted into a nearby clan. Since his owner avoided him, that made him very stand-offish, and cautious. Rank: Warrior Family: None Username: Darkheart

Flameface nodded, happy that Lightbringer was finding things to do already. He excused himself from the game and padded over to her, ears twitching. "Of course, follow me." He lead her out into the forest and toward the moor, though didn't go all the way to that side of the territory. Instead, he turned at the edge of the moor and into a small patch of leafless, winding trees. The trees had been burned in the past and simply never grew leaves anymore, instead becoming a home for spiders and different kinds of bugs.
Rabbitdash exited the nursery with a sigh and walked toward the fresh-kill pile, not seeming to notice that a certain tiny tortoiseshell was following him. "Oh, hey Iceberry." He greeted the she-cat with a small purr, his exhaustion showing in his face. "Is that freshly caught? I'm starving." "Me too!" Squeaked Berrykit, causing her father to nearly jump out of his skin.

((Clover, I can't accept Stormshadow unless his name is changed. I stated on the front page that same-prefix cats weren't allowed because it gets confusing, and we already have 'Storm' as a prefix.))

LightBringer padded alongside FlameFace. "i talked to FuzzyStar, and asked him about joining the clan. he said that he was okay with it!" the she-cat meowed excitedly, eager to share the good news. "im so happy to be a part of a clan again. and im glad to at least have made friends with BlackMist, and you." she purred, her tail high in the air and her eyes bright.

"That's great, and I'm glad that we're friends. I can introduce you to a few more cats I think you'd get a long with, if you want. If you like kits I know Clovereyes would be glad to have you around. Foxbreeze, too, since she has two little ones running around." He purred softly, excited that there was a new member in the Clan.

LightBringer's face lit up at the mention of kits. "awww i love kits! thatd be amazing if you could introduce me to some new cats too" she meowed excitedly. when they reach the cobwebs, she hunts around for a spot that is absent on spiders. finding one, she uses her tail to gather a bunch, wrapping it around and around until its a big clump. she glances at FlameFace. "you can carry more this way" she explains, purring with amusement.

Flameface nodded, watching her wind the cobwebs around her tail. "One of my uncles was a medicine cat and I don't think he even knew that!" He moved over to a spot where there were no spiders to be seen and copied her actions, getting a clump of the substance to stick to his bushy black tail. "That is pretty efficient! You should tell Blackmist about that." He was now curious about her old Clan and if their customs and skills were different from their own, though was too afraid to bring it up in fear of digging up bad memories.

LightBringer purrs, and starts back the way they came. "my clan had a different way of doing somethings i guess. a lot of the times, when we needed to gather herbs and such plants for our medicine cats, we would use these huge dock leaves to carry more of the stuff we needed back to camp. here, ill show you, if you can find some dock leaves nearby" the she-cat meowed excitedly, proud to be able to teach a few new things.

Flameface nodded and followed enthusiastically, thrilled at the idea that he could learn new skills for his Clan. "You should run some of these ideas by Fuzzystar and Blackmist, they seem to be pretty functional and we're always looking to improve around here. Plus, I wanna teach Redpaw some valuable skills that aren't just hunting and fighting." There were quite a few apprentices and soon to be a lot of kits, so he was pretty sure of his next words. "Maybe if you help us improve and get the Clan to trust you, maybe you could get an apprentice of your own in the coming moons? Berrykit and Applekit are the next ones to be apprenticed, though I'm not sure you'll get one of them. Maybe when Clovereyes has her kits you'll get one?"

"Anything i can do to help, would be amazing! and i'd love to have an apprentice of my own." LightBringer pauses as they find some good sized dock leaves. Pulling one down for herself, and one for FlameFace, she sets them on the ground for a moment. "lets look around, and gather some more herbs and such. we can even get more cobwebs with these!" she explains enthusiastically.

"Cool!" Flameface happily bounded toward a small patch of plants that he thought he recognized as Comfrey. He picked a few leaves and placed them on top of the Dock, being careful in the way he held it so nothing could spill out. Lightbringer had been right about it being easier to carry!

LightBringer collected a bunch of various herbs she recognized, and put them in her leaf before picking it up. giving a nod of her head, she indicates that she is ready to return to camp, her tail still holding the cobwebs.

Flameface came over to her, his leaf heaping with different herbs and berries mixed in. OF course he had avoided Yew berries, as he knew what they looked like due to a past incident in the Clan with a near-death. It didn't take them long to return, but when they did, the tortoiseshell could feel many stares on he and Lightbringer. He lifted his tail proudly and padded toward the medicine den, calling for Blackmist with a muffled voice.

LightBringer padded up to the den entrance, and placed her leaf on the ground. "BlackMist, we gathered a few other things as well while we were out. and i have some tricks to show you, that could help make things a bit easier!" she poked her head into the den while she said this, purring.

Blackmist had been napping, so when he heard his name being called he lifted his head, a grumpy expression on his face. "Pardon?" He grunted, not having caught what Lightbringer said. If anyone in this Clan lived up to the stereotype of an Elder, it was Blackmist. - "Lightbringer had tricks to show you and we got tons of herbs!" Flameface summarized what the she-cat had said in an excited way, his bushy tail now twice it's size due to his emotions. He normally did this when he was happy, acting just like a new apprentice who had just explored the territory for the first time. - "Come in, then." The old medicine cat meowed, heaving himself up from his nest and letting out a sharp exhale at the pain it sent through his back. He felt suddenly envious of his mentor, who had died the way he'd found Blackmist- with a broken back. The only reason he felt envy was because Sootface had been paralyzed at the time of his demise, therefore unable to feel the pain in his back.

LightBringer ducked her head down, and picked up her dock leaf. carefully she maneuvers her way into the den, careful not to get the cobwebs caught on the entrance. padding over to BlackMist, she places the dock leaf at his paws. "its a few tricks my clan used. if you find big enough dock leaves, you can carry more herbs and berries and cobwebs back to camp, without having to make as many trips to restock." waving her tail behind her, she purrs happily. " and you can use your tail to wrap cobwebs around, so you can bring back more of that as well."

Flameface entered and put his leaf down next to hers before sitting proudly, his chest puffed out and his ears perked up. He looked as if he were waiting for a praise that a mentor would give, which made sense with how he was acting. -- Blackmist of course noticed Flameface and rolled his eyes before clearing his throat. "Great job, Flameface, you did well." See the thrilled expression on the tom's face almost brought up a purr, but not quite. He listened to Lightbringer speak and was appreciative of the tips she offered. "Those are great ideas, Lightbringer. I would have loved to meet your past medicine cat."

LightBringer purrs quietly. "maybe she followed me on my journey, and you'll see her when you next visit starclan" the she-cat suggested hopefully. having seen where BlackMist had taken the cobwebs out to treat her wounds, she pads over, and adds her collection of cobwebs to the stock pile.
