"I see.." Yewpaw swished his tail and glanced at Cloudpuff, waiting a moment before he spoke. "You should come meet Fuzzystar, I'm sure he'd like to hear about this band of rogues." In all honesty, the apprentice kind of wanted this cat to join the Clan- he seemed strong and hardy, definitely the kind of cat Yewpaw would want for a mentor. If only he could switch from the lame one he had now.
Once the small patrol arrived at the shores, Stormbelly headed casually to the water and peered in, wondering if she may be able to catch a few fish as a treat for the grieving cats. Flameface lifted his nose to scent for prey and found the trail of a rabbit, then wasted no time in heading off to track it down.

thomas"Maybe, but my group is broken alright? The are gone from here after this fight you know.", mewed Daryl as he shook his fur violently showing his eyes gleaming a bit with the sunshine hitting it. "I see a rabbit.", muttered Thornfur to the group as the wind hit his fur.

((Sorry for not getting on to often, I'm busy with school and may be changing to an alternative one soon so there's just a lot to do.)) Yewpaw gave a nod and glanced at his mother, depending on her to alert the patrol and have them follow a bit after he lead this cat back to camp. Once Cloudpuff gave a nod and padded off, he hopped to his paws and started walking toward camp. "This way to our camp, follow me!"
Stormbelly curled her lip before she hunched down, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike out. It took a small while for her prey to come along but once she saw the slight flash of silver her paw darted down and yanked the fish from the water. She killed it with a bite to the spine and leaned down to wait for a few more.

((Aha, this entire few months of school has been miserable)) "Are you sure, Brightmoon? I can bring you some fresh-kill if you need it, or I can just sit with you if you'd like.." The small tom twitched his tail and watched his mentor closely, wanting to see her expression more than hear her answer. He'd been told by his mother that reactions in the face and body told a lot more than easily faked words, and he basically lived by that his entire life. "So," The old tom began, poking tiredly at his mouse with one yellowed claw. "Tell me what exactly you regret about this, I won't talk, I'll just listen. Get it off your chest." His voice was no more than a grumble and he held back a wince as he shifted his lower body to get more comfortable. ((ahh, i'm so sorry ;v; ) Brightmoon was about to tell him he was okay, but she was just too tired for that at that moment. She sighed, her ears drooping as she looked over to Owlpaw with gratitude in her eyes. "Thank you; just sitting would be nice..." She plopped down and curled her tail tightly around her paws. Swirlpaw looked up at his aging mentor. "Well, I just...If I had gotten there sooner couldn't I have done something? There must have been something I could've done!" He lashed his tail, growling. "And now there's yet another kit in StarClan without their family!"

((It's fine))
Owlpaw nodded his head and moved to lay beside his mentor, letting their fur brush slightly just for the comfort. "I probably can't stay long, once someone notices I'm in the warriors den I'll likely be kicked out," He paused, pressing his nose to Brightmoon's shoulder. "But I'll stay as long as I can."
Blackmist studied Swirlpaw quietly before shaking his head slowly, a sigh following. "There's nothing to be done about these situations, it just happens. Even if you're there the whole time, stillbirths will still occur. We don't know why it does, but it's just something you and the parents need to accept. No blame falls here."

LightBringer slinks through the trees, cautiously. She had already crossed the border of a clan, and knew she was trespassing, but she was hopeful. maybe theyll let me join them she thinks to herself. her stomach rumbles, and her tail tip twitches as she hears the little footsteps of a squirrel nearby. she may be bold, but shes not a moon addled kit, and doesnt dare to hunt in a clans territory.

Flameface was padding through the forest with his ears aimed toward the trees, showing that he was actively listening for a birds nest. The very recent death of his uncle had really taken a toll on him and he'd decided to go hunting to take it off of his mind. Badgerpatch was busy speaking with Splashwhisker and he couldn't find any of the apprentices anywhere, so he ended up going alone. He heard the soft noises of a bird and raised his nose to taste the air, but instead of finding the sweet scent of prey, he found the fresh, unfamiliar trail of a Clan cat. It wasn't MoonClan, that was for sure, but the cat definitely had the unmistakable aroma of Clan.

she continues to weave her way through the brambles and bushes, her ears pricked and moving to catch the slightest noise. when LightBringer pauses for a moment, she hears a noise behind her, and instinctively turns to face it, crouching low to the ground. her tail is waving slightly, and her stance is not aggressive as she waits to see if she is being followed, as she suspects. "is someone there? im not looking for trouble, and i apologize for crossing your border without permission." she meows loud enough for any cat within earshot to hear.

Flameface didn't feel anything but pity when he saw the she-cat crouch, he could tell that she'd been through something rough. Her pelt matted, frame skinny- she looked like she hadn't eaten for days. He heard her call out and padded away for a moment, returning and revealing himself to her a minute later with a squirrel dangling from his jaws. He sat down in front of her and dropped the fresh-kill before he pushed it over to her with a paw. "Eat." It wasn't a demand but it was a soft order spoken with a gentle tone. He wasn't going to ask her to answer anything while her belly was so empty. The tortoiseshell sighed through his nose and wrapped his ebony tail neatly around his paws.

LightBringer hesitates, and watches as FlameFace sits down in front of her. "thank you" she finally purrs, and tears into the squirrel, devouring it in a very short amount of time. the fresh meal seems to boost her energies, and she sits up, cleaning her paws carefully. "i am sorry to intrude. you did not need to feed me, im sure your clan mates need it. i was planning on hunting once i got out of your territory" she explains,in between tongue strokes. her nose wrinkles up at the scent of her own fur, as she has not had time to clean herself good in a moon or more.

"We have plenty." Flameface murmured, listening to the rest of her sentence after he quieted. "I'm not sure you would have gotten out of the territory if you went any deeper. You were heading straight for our camp," He gestured with a movement of his tail, pointing in the direction she had been walking. "If you were in higher health, maybe you would have scented it. We are SunClan, and my name is Flameface. Where do you come from?" He wrinkled his nose as he sniffed, trying to ignore the foul odor of filth and get to the Clan scent. "I'm aware that you come from a Clan, but what one? I only know of MoonClan and my own." His eyes narrowed and curiosity glittered in their amber depths.

She is quiet for a few moments, and then she flicks her tail. "my clan is no more. i come from a long ways from here. It was called NightClan, and we camped on the edge of a twolegs place." at this point LightBringer falls silent, and looks away, her ears flattening and her stance changing to defensive. its clear her mind is caught up in memories.

Flameface noticed her shift and decided not to press on the subject. "I see. Sorry to hear about that, I know it must be rough." He glanced around and relaxed, letting his shoulders slump and his ears fall to the side. He still didn't feel too great about the death and going for a hunt had turned out with this. "Would you like to come to camp and rest for a bit? Most of the cats are in mourning so it's unlikely that we'll get any complaints. Plus, Fuzzystar is welcoming to outsiders." He only offered because of the pity he felt, plus, he was sure that if this cat wandered into MoonClan territory, she would be chased off or torn apart without question. "You don't have to stay long if you don't want to, I just want to help you get your strength back."

LightBringer glances toward the tom again, and her ears perk up. "if you're sure it's okay, then I'd really appreciate that. I am sorry for your clans loss. I can help out with things if needed, while i am there. i refuse to be a freeloader" she counters. getting to her paws, she winces a little at her sore pads, but her eyes glint with determination. "lead the way. and, if there is one nearby, could we find a pond or something for me to get clean in? i don't want to meet your leader looking like a mess"

"You can help out with Blackmist, he's got his paws full with his apprentices." Flameface couldn't imagine having two apprentices, it must be a ton of work; he pitied the old medicine cat, knowing that he was getting older and his legs weren't working as well. It showed in the way he walked, moving along with an awkward, still limp in both of his back legs. The tortoiseshell shook his head to free his thoughts and considered the she-cats next statement. "There's a small stream just this way, follow me." He made sure that his pace was slow enough for the weakened cat to follow and continued getting lost in his own thoughts until something occurred to him. "Sorry, I didn't catch your name?" He glanced back at the other, feeling embarrassed that he hadn't bothered to ask something as important as a name. Since he wasn't watching where he was going his paw landed straight in the small body of water he'd been leading the former Clan cat to.

LightBringer gives a quiet mreow of amusement as FlameFace steps into the stream. "my name is LightBringer. and thank you for your hospitality" she slips into the stream, and lets the current pull the dirt and dust off her pelt. the she-cat aids the water with her tongue, taking her time until she fully clean again. she even dips her head into the water for a moment before shaking the water off and jumping out of the flow of the stream

Flameface took his paw out of the stream and shook it before licking it dry. Lightbringer is an interesting name. Haven't heard anything like it. His eyes narrowed in interest but went back to normal as he waited patiently for the she-cat to be done. When she finally exited the stream he turned his body toward camp and began walking toward it, checking back every so often to make sure Lightbringer was still following him. It didn't take long until they reached camp and Flameface stuck his face in the entrance, peering around to make sure there was no one around that would care. He spotted Fuzzystar and gestured for Lightbringer to walk in with him. "Come on." He murmured, padding straight for the white tomcat.
((Alright!)

LightBringer holds her head high as she follows FlameFace towards the clan leader, while also casting her eyes around to see who and what is in the camp. her tail flicks back and forth as she walks, her pelt drying in the sun and warming air. there was a large fresh kill pile, which was a good sign, and plenty of dens. the smell of herbs also drifts on the wind, as it changes direction slightly. overall, the camp is quiet, and she can sense the mourning of the clan, which makes her sad to see so many in pain from losing a beloved friend.

Flameface dipped his head to Fuzzystar as he approached and paused when he reached the leader. "Fuzzystar," He addressed the tom, his amber eyes meeting Fuzzystar's green. "This is Lightbringer, I found her when I was out hunting in the forest. Her Clan was destroyed and she is passing through, but I suggested she rest here until she gathers her strength. Is that alright?" -- Fuzzystar blinked as he listened, then glanced over at Lightbringer curiously. He hadn't known of any other Clans, but it checked out by her scent. "I suppose. She won't be able to stay in the warriors den, though, as I fear what the warriors will say. She can stay in the medicine den, where she will also be checked over. Flameface, you can be her guide and adviser. Make sure she finds a comfortable nest." He finished speaking to the tortoiseshell and turned to Lightbringer. "I hope you can relax while you stay here." With that, the leader padded off toward his den. -- Flameface purred softly and nodded to Lightbringer. "Follow me, and be warned, Blackmist is a bit of a grump. Don't take it personally if he snaps at you." He lead the way toward the medicine den.

"thank you FuzzyStar" LightBringer meows out to the leader, before turning to follow FlameFace. a mreow of amusement escapes her again as the tom mentions the medicine cat being a grump. "its okay. im used to it, my clans medicine cat was the same way. She loved helping her clanmates though" LightBringer stumbles a little, and winces as her paw pads tear open again.

Flameface noticed her wince and made a face, feeling thankful that they went to the medicine den. "Blackmist!" He called, poking his head into the den, only to have it pushed back out with s black paw. -- Blackmist poked his head out and narrowed his eyes at the newcomer, clearly trying to decide if he knew her or not. "A stranger?" He muttered, pulling himself from his den and letting out small noises of pain as he walked. He'd broken his back when he was an apprentice and healed up almost completely, but now the previous wound was coming back and causing him a lot of pain. He walked oddly, mostly just using his front legs, but occasionally stepping with a back one. He stepped forward and took a sniff at Lightbringer, then lowered his head to her paw. He could smell her blood and instantly knew that her paw pads were cracked. "Come on in." He meowed, struggling for a moment before he entered his den.

"thank you FlameFace." LightBringer purrs softly, before following the aging medicine cat into the den. the smell of herbs is overpowering, and the she-cats nose wrinkles up in distaste. "Hello BlackMist. i'm LightBringer" she introduces herself as she follows deeper into the den. its roomy enough, and she yawns, the idea of sleeping in an actual nest playing through her mind.

"Mhm. Choose a nest, any is fine except the three in the back." Blackmist grunted as he sorted through his herb store, picking out some Cobweb, Marigold, and Dock leaves. He laid them out in front of her and nodded. "Show me where your wounds are." He pushed the Dock leaves toward her. "And chew these before licking them onto your paw pads that aren't bleeding. They'll soothe the pain."

Ducking her head, she picks up some of the dock leaves, and chews on them as she holds out her front left paw, allowing the medicine cat to examine the splits in it. there are also scrapes and cuts on her legs, and a small cut above her right eye. LightBringer continues to chew the dock leaves as she is examined.
