One of my teachers said "data" as "day-ta," which is the way that I have always learned to say it. But, then, she corrected herself to say "da-ta."

i cry internally each time i hear someone say "day-ta" or "dram-ah"

da-ta. I cannot stand it the other way, but I've noticed day-ta is more common.

I personally pronounce it day-ta. Though I have no problem da-ta, I'm not gonna flip the table over and slap you with a Cheesewedge if you pronounce it that way.
Though I admit it'd be fun to attempt to slap someone with a Cheesewedge no foreshadowing i swear
