Mudfleck stood quietly when Chillberry began to speak. His fur stopped bristling and his tail stopped bristling. Unable to believe what he was hearing. Part of him feeling guilt though the other half was still burning with rage. His mixed feelings about what was going on caused the tom to freeze all together. Everything around him going silent. Chillberry had only wanted to come out here and meet Lionwhisker, just to come out to him. But instead of waiting for another time to meet up with him, the two had decided to meet up outside of camp. Outside of curfew hours as well. What a joke. Just on the edge of his trance, Mudfleck could just make out Lionwhisker's angry words. The brown ticked tabby still was unbothered by it, his amber gaze seeming to be glued onto Chillberry.
"This is unbelievable!" Lionwhisker's angry yowl broke the Maine Coon from his daze.
From the corner of Mudfleck's eye he saw the ginger tomcat making his way closer to him. Without thinking, the tabby swung around, and was standing nose to nose with Lionwhisker in a matter of seconds. "You wanna know what's unbelievable?" Mudfleck was beyond raged at this point, his claws already unsheathed and ready to attack. "Put yourself in my paws for a second- You were put on guard duty for the night, already on edge after the announcement. And you catch some mouse-brain trying to sneak out of camp-" Mudfleck paused and added matter-of-factly, "Mind you, there is a curfew set. You ask the furball what he's doing and ya' know what he does? He runs off in a panicked frenzy. You chase him through half the forest, finally catch him. Still no direct answer. Then his companion shows up with an attitude, making you the bad guy in the situation. And then the mouse-brain finally gives you his answer, an answer that could have been dealt with back at camp. Now that, Lionwhisker, that is what's unbelievable." The big Maine Coon tom then gave a disgusted scoff, tail lashing as he glared at Lionwhisker unblinkingly. "Please tell me you would have acted differently in the situation."

It's so hard to keep Lionwhisker in character rn and have him be super irrational when Mudfleck is so right in this situation X-D

The most he could do at this point was wait for a response. Yes, he'd finally put himself out there - better late than never he supposed - but the situation was still getting worse. At this point, he just wanted to go to sleep and forget any of this had ever happened. He was tired despite his nerves being overrun with anxiety. Everything was just a mess, and he'd be lying if he said it wasn't his fault. Taking a moment to push himself up, he couldn't help but grimace a bit at the fresh pain it cause. While some of the wounds had began to close, the ones that had it only bled more with the exertion. Still, he paid no mind to it once he was up on seemingly steady paws. Instead, he turned to face the others in time to hear Mudfleck's response. First off, he could've done without the insults, but okay. The longer the larger tom went on, the more he felt a bit of anger begin to bubble in his chest. It was a rare emotion for him, but now it was there, and when it was there, he tended to act on it. "Wow, first of all, were the insults necessary? Second of all, I'm sorry. That's all I can really say - I'm sorry I tried to leave past curfew, but I won't apologize for anything else. My actual answer still would've sounded like an excuse - go ahead, tell me that you would've believe me while I'd still been stuttering and trying to find the words to tell you something I didn't want to tell anybody." His voice had become noticeably more steady and had the slightest bit of anger in it. But mostly, he sounded tired. "I'm not going to apologize for the fact that the situation induced a panic attack and my first logical solution was to get away. I'm not going to apologize for the initial lack of answer that I was physically unable to give. I'm definitely not going to apologize for favoring dying in hopes of putting the prophecy to rest over being rejected by my Clan due to the possibility that they'll think what I feel is unnatural. Yes, it sounds stupid, but if I were to be forced out of my home because of it, I'd rather be dead anyways." Chillberry huffed, hardly thinking of most of his words at this point. "I'm not going to say that you should apologize, because you shouldn't. You did your job. But I stand by what I said - I'd rather die for a good cause rather than risk rejection from my family." whispering @sodapop

"It's fiiine," he said, and took another bite of his bird. Birds were probably his favourite type of prey. He liked eating the meat off of the bones of the bird.

Once Silverface was done eating, he began walking in the direction of the entrance of camp, so he could go on a walk. He began to think of places he could go to.

"Oh yeah, sure," he said. He then walked out of camp and to a large tree relatively close to the camp that he liked to go to, looking back occasionally to se4e if she was still following him.

Lionwhisker walked closer towards Mudfleck until he was basically nose to nose to the tom as Chillberry began to argue his side of what happened, but Lionwhisker could barely hear anything he said over the blood rushing through his ears and the need to put Mudfleck down just like he did to Chillberry. If Lionwhisker was rational at the moment he would know that both Mudfleck and Chillberry had a point and he would try to settle this with civil conversation, but right now Lionwhisker could careless about conversation and would rather prefer action instead of words. The only thing stopping him from pouncing at the tom in front of him is that Chillberry had enough on his plate currently and didn't need the added suspicion if Lionwhisker decided to attack Mudflck. But, if Mudfleck made one move to come after Chillberry again or himself then Lionwhisker was prepared to throw everything holding him back to the wind. The ginger tom was definitely not know for his patience when the cats he considers family were involved in something bad. Lionwhisker kneaded his claws into the dirt under his paws and glared daggers directly into Mudflecks eyes, but as Chillberry concluded his thoughts, Lionwhisker could finally hear what the other was saying and stood frozen as the other chose to die to other his feelings rather then feeling abandoned. The tom turned his head to look at Chillberry, the shock clear on his face and loudly gulped down the protest he felt crawling up his throat. Lionwhisker thought about what he said and finally about how much pressure Chillberry must be under right now rather then Lionwhiskers own need to protect and felt shame wash over him at the idea that he was thinking more his own feelings rather then Chillberry's. This was hard for the tom and confessing his thought that he must have hide for so long was probably killing him and Lionwhisker hadn't even considered that until now. Lionwhisker's face morphed to show his distress and inched a little away from Mudfleck to stand closer to Chillberry. whispering Myst

He stopped at the base of the tree. "Probably something like......maybe a badger attack, or a fox attack, or a rogue attack," he said.
