( Hey 5, how was Maine?? (゚⊿゚) ) ( I think a bigger plot could be fun Flame, maybe something to do with animal control looking more into the forest cuz of Squirrelpelt being taken?? )
Lionwhisker's eyes softened at the tom's admission and curled his tail around Chillberry's front leg and gently pulled him in his direction. "How about you come and sit? Promise i'll be good for ya." He said as he uncurled his tail from Chillberry's leg and instead wrapped it around his own front paws. Lionwhisker waited to see what the tom would do, would he finally take a much needed breath and came over to relax next to himself or would be continue to beat himself up in his head? The larger tom really hoped it would be the former, but even if it was the latter, Lionwhisker would still try again and again to calm Chillberry down on their way back to camp. It wouldn't be healthy for either of them to be to emotionally drained when they have to face Mothstar to explain what happened; the tom knew that was gonna be whole different mess to handle.

//I bet Maine was litttttt//
With a tail now wrapped around his leg, the smaller of the pair followed the gentle tug that was administered but couldn't help but be a little tense. He was no stranger to skinship - he was highly affectionate with his friends. But this? He was already reading much too far into it. Unless his memory was failing him as it did at the worst of times, he couldn't recall Lionwhisker ever being like this with him. It threw him off, leaving the tom unsure of how to react without making it weird. None the less, he kept with the ginger's suggestion and sat down slowly after a moment. Taking a much needed deep breath, Chillberry dug his claws into the dirt for a moment before retracting them. "Sorry, I'm not really myself today, am I?" He let out a nervous chuckle, half hoping his companion would treat that as a rhetorical question.

( I am ^^ )
"Hey everyone has off day's and besides today's been a pretty strange day, I think you get a pass." Lionwhisker cocked his head towards his companion and smiled happily as he came to sit besides him. "Let's just enjoy the quiet air before we march straight into the dog's mouth." The tom said with a twist of playfulness in his words that they're impending conversation back at the Clan. The sun had tilted a little closer to the horizon by the time Lionwhisker decided to rest his head on his front paws and the sound of chirping birds could only be heard every few minutes as they began settling in their nests. A leaf blew onto Linwhisker's noise as a light breeze passed by the pair and with a twitch of his nose, the leaf landed at his paws and the tom directed his attention back at Chillberry. "You do know it's not your fault right?" Lionwhisker said, his eyes soft and finally deciding that it wasn't best to keep dancing around this certain

//litttttt//
There was only a short hum of confirmation when Lionwhisker responded to his question. However, he couldn't help the grin that began to take his features at the playful tone the other had taken. Still, he lifted his head to gaze at the sky through the trees, noting the darker tones that it was slowly but surely taking on. They had to get back to camp before they were traveling in the dark, which would quickly become the case depending on how long they simply sat here. Of course, he took into consideration that the other warrior was injured, and getting through the forest on a bad leg was no easy task. Lowering his eyes, Chillberry turned to look at his friend just as he decided to question him. This brought on a frown, and he couldn't help but avert his gaze for a second. "I... suppose it's not," he muttered a bit stubbornly. "But we shouldn't have left the territory. I shouldn't have thought it was okay to leave the territory." Letting out a defeated sigh, he finally slumped to lay down, head on the ground between his paws. "You shouldn't have trusted my judgment."

"Hey, you can't take all the blame!" Lionwhisker shouted stubbornly with a scowl, shooting up to stand in front of the other tom before cringing at the sudden shift of his leg and on unsteady legs went to lay back down. With a deep sigh, Lionwhisker closed his eyes to compose himself before looking back at the heterochromic-eyed tom. "Please don't take all the blame.. it's my fault to. I didn't pay attention, and that's the end of it." Lionwhisker's voice left no room for argument and was nothing, but sincere in his feelings that no one should take all the blame. "We're both okay and isn't of playing the blaming game we should be thankful for that.." He said and inched his way closer to Chillberry until he laid by his ad gently nudged his ear with his muzzle. "And I'll always trust your judgement. I made you trust me, so of course I'm gonna trust you silly."
Lionwhisker knew he was being pushy with his affection towards the other tom and honestly couldn't and wouldn't stop anytime soon. He would never admit it, but with the attack in the fields, Lionwhisker was greatly unnerved. "I left him." Lionwhisker thought bitterly and cursed his past self's bad judgement. What if the monster had attacked Chillberry instead of himself? Lionwhisker could barely out run it and it came head-on at him, there's no telling what could have happened if it sneak up on the other. He could have just lose someone important to him because he wanted to play the hero that got them out of the field.

The smaller of the pair jumped slightly when his companion shouted, looking up at him when he jumped up. No, he should still be resting - his leg was going to get worse. Nonetheless, it was really the shouting that had caused him to startle. He hadn't expected it, and to be honest, it scared him a little. It scared him a little to know that he was the reason Lionwhisker was now yelling. His thoughts scattered, and he could only focus on the way the ginger lowered himself back to the ground. "I-I'm sorry, I just...." he trailed off, unsure of what he'd even been going to say. He hadn't had anything in mind when he'd opened his mouth to speak, so he fell silent as the other warrior continued to speak. All that was left to do was take in the amber-eyed tom's words, so he did, and he found that they left no room for argument - no if, and's, or buts. Soon enough the other was nudging his ear, and that familiar heat made a quick comeback, and finally, the smaller tom lowered his gaze to the ground in hopes of quelling his thoughts and emotions and essentially everything. "Okay," Chillberry murmured.
There were a few moments where he simply and secretly enjoyed the closeness - he craved it, wanted to happily claim it for his own and stay like this for as long as the other would allow. However, his own anxieties wouldn't allow it. That meant it was time to change the subject. "It's getting dark, we should get back soon so somebody smarter than I can look at your leg. Besides, limping in total darkness probably isn't the best course of action." His words were a bit rushed, and he almost kept babbling as if to keep himself preoccupied. The warrior just wanted to get back, talk to his brother, and forget this ever happened. Because surely that's what the other would to - to him, it seemed inevitable.

"And look at that." Lionwhisker said as he moved to push himself back onto his four legs with a glint of mischief in his eyes. "I'm trusting your judgment." He again leaned against Chillberry's shoulder and coyly smiled at him. Lionwhisker might not wanna admit how much he was bothered by what happened today, but he'll happily admit how much fun it was to tease Chillberry. The tom was know for his kindness towards others, but even he could have some playful fun now-an-then can't he? The tom definitely thought he could and would continue with vigor. Lionwhisker snickered to himself before once again, taking off towards the clan, one slow step at a time.
It was just pass sunset when Lionwhisker and Chillberry hobbled through the Clan entrance and made their way towards the medicine cat den. Throughout the trip, Lionwhisker had completely given up on stepping on his back leg and instead favored his oher working legs and Chillberry's shoulder to make sure he didn't topple over. "I'm ready to sleep for a few days.." Lionwhisker mumbled between pants and sucked in an pain that shot through his leg.

Chillberry had gotten back up as soon as the words had passed his lips. He'd stretched a little, but when the ginger spoke up once more, the slightest of grins graced his features. Sure, he was still unhappy and still self-loathing in the deepest pits of his mind, but he had to admit that the tom that was now leaning on him was pretty amusing. So, he waited until Lionwhisker was situated and ready to go before starting off with him back to the camp. Hopefully, they'd get back in a timely manner and somebody would be able to look at his leg. Somebody that actually knew what they were doing.
Surprisingly, it didn't take too long to make it back. Well, it was a shorter journey than Chillberry had initially estimated. Now on their way to the medicine den, the bicolor warrior couldn't help the snort that escaped him at the other's words. "You should - you deserve it, after all."

When coming to the entrance of the den, Lionwhisker poked his head inside, searching for the first empty nest and upon finding one he crouched down onto it and slumped over. Being mindful of his leg, Lionwhisker stretched out in the comfortable bedding and let out a, 'hum' in pleasure at finally being back home. "I'm gonna sleep until the next moon and no one can stop me." He said with a mock pout and buried his head in between his outstretched legs in a playful act of rebellion. "Not even Mothstar will be able to wake me up!" Lionwhisker cried, his voice muffled by the moss and other materials making up the nest.

//Hey there Flare<333 how're you??//
Chillberry couldn't help the soft laughter that left him as he watched the ginger tom. 'Cute,' he thought, however, was quick to clear his head upon realization. Even still, he couldn't help but be amused. "Hm, I'll have to take your word for it," he responded after a moment. In the moment of silence, he wondered if the rest of the patrol got back, what his brother was doing, if the kits had been born yet. Had they been born yet? He'd been gone essentially all day - how was he supposed to know these things?

Alright, prophecy it is! ^^ Maybe we can tie it in with another event as well, such as a flood or something.
Please let me know if you have an idea!! I want to get as many people excited/involved as possible (:
Just a suggestion if y'all are up for it: maybe Mothstar or one of the medicine cats could be visited by StarClan (perhaps Ruststar of ye olden days?) and be told that "three, from the heart of your Clan" will "make the green run crimson" or something like that, implying that 3 (or x many) unknown cats are evil. This could create a lot of mistrust on patrols & in camp, and maybe some really frightened cats would try to interrogate others lmao
While that's going on, a flood or storm or something could cause VC to salvage what they can, pack up, and temporarily relocate?
Then amidst the storm, the 3 (or x many) will try to act--maybe killing a few cats, injuring others, trying to get to the leader/deputy/medicine cats o:
