Quailpaw // w/Cherviltail
Quailpaw gave a solemn nod before following after him. Though she was older now, she was still having a hard time keeping up with the deputy longer legs. Unlike her brother and the other apprentices, the molly was still small and fluffy. Just like she was five moons ago. The molly skidded to a stop once Cherviltail expertly clawed his way up an oak tree. Blue eyes gleaming from this new challenge. With a quick circle around the tree, Quailpaw paused on a more gnarl side, bunching her muscles before she sprang. Reaching for pawhold after pawhold until she reached the first branch. Her hindlegs flailed in the air before she finally got a grip and heaved herself on the limb, panting. But I still achieved it. She thought with a prideful smirk before turning around and climbing up next to Cherviltail.
Even though Quailpaw was a mischevious young apprentice, she was also intelligent. And pretty. Almost like the charming, but sly, fox. It may have sounded mouse-brained but it was true, Quailpaw did compare herself to a clancat's natural enemy. Because they were alike personality wise on so many levels. Having it easy to weasel their way out of tricky situations using charm and knowledge. It was a skill you used to your advantage, no matter the concequences. "So, what now." She asked, peering away from where the stood towards the twoleg camp. "Why don't we just go down there and look for her? There just twolegs."

( let's just pretend that they've been on the patrol for a little while cuz it would be p weird if they just started now )
Lionwhisker turned his head to peer off into the distance as he hopped on top of a fallen log in his path. Inclining his muzzle up into the air, he sniffed the area for any trace of Squirrelpelt or if she had made her way further into the thicket of the forest. With a frown and a deep sigh, Lionwhisker jumped off the log to land next to Chillberry. Fallen leaves rustled near his paws at the impact and he gently pawed at the leaves that stuck to his thick fur. "I didn't smell her at all. I have no idea where she could have went.." He mumbled under his breath before casting his eyes towards Chillberry. "I just don't know what we're supposed to do, I haven't smelled her once so far and we've search a least half the territory already." Frustration was clear in his voice as he finished ridding his coat of the leaves, but he still tried to crack a smile towards the fellow tom-cat as to not seem like he was giving up the search or to worry him.

(yeeeeee also yo if I don't reply after a while, I probably crashed cause I'm laying on my bed and it's super comfy)
The bicolored tom turned away slightly as the other took perch on a log. He peered into the trees, searching for any source of movement. Sure, he had a decent sense of smell, but the way movement caught his eye did a lot more for him when he was searching for sources of life. Sadly, he only saw the usual - a couple of birds, a squirrel fleeing from, well, them most likely. Huffing, Chillberry turned to look at the other warrior as he dismounted. Taking a moment to help remove the stray leaves from Lionwhisker's pelt as he took in the words the other spoke. "I know but..." he paused, noting the frustration the other contained. "She couldn't have gotten far, right? I mean, I'm sure that she has to be somewhere in the territory." Even still, he sighed. He had no way of knowing if the she-cat was even in the territory. He could only hope. "We should keep moving - I'm sure we'll find her soon. Who knows? Maybe she'll find us."

( That's chill ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) )
Lionwhisker moved his head back towards the forest, searching for the she-cats figure for another few seconds, before nodding his head at Chillberry's words and beginning to once again tread closer and closer to the territories end. "Hopefully.. I'm worried for Squirrelpelt of course, but.." Lionwhisker trailed off as his eyes shifted into a far more downcast look and he tensed his shoulders at a bad feeling that washed over him. He continued his thought, but this time couldn't meet Chillberry's eyes. "I'm worried about Oakkit.." He started with a sigh. "We need to find her.. for Oakkit." The tom was always one to think positively and would never think a foul outlook would help in a time like this, but he couldn't help himself it sensed. When kits were involved like Oakkit, Lionwhisker could become a whole different cat in mood and personality.
The forest around the pair began to thin out more and more as they continued to walk closer to the territories limits and different smells mixed with the abundant amount already inside the Clan's edge. "Well that certainly doesn't help." Lionwhisker said as he tried to pick up the different smells filling his nose, but could only notice the headache forming from the sensory overload.

The smaller warrior padded after Lionwhisker, eyes scanning their surroundings as they went. The forest was beginning to thin out around them, signaling that they were approaching the end of their territory. Considering what the point of the patrol was, it was troublesome that the territory was coming to and end. Sure, they hadn't gotten through the full expanse of the land the clan had claimed, but even this left the possibility that Squirrelpelt wasn't even within their borders any longer. Of course, this left Oakkit alone for the time being, which then left the problem of how the young tom felt at the moment. A slight frown took his features, an unusual happening for Chillberry.
It didn't last long, though, because soon enough he realized the other was talking. Ears perking, he turned his gaze to Lionwhisker, taking in the words he hadn't missed while he had been caught up in his thoughts. For Oakkit... He was right - they had to find her for him. Nodding slightly, he continued on with the tom, taking in his surroundings with jaw parted slightly. It wasn't long before the trees around them had just about thinned out completely, and their border became clear. "What if... What if she isn't even in the territory?" the white and tabby tom questioned quietly.

blankie&&copper The average sized grey and white tom flicked his tail as he listened to the she-cat, looking down at her while purring softly. He listened to her speak about how she thought about jumping and seeing how the ruffians lived. He let out a soft purr before looking over at the she-cat. He kneaded at the ground before lunging up to the fence, landing quite gracefully. He looked back at Copper and licked at his chest, ignoring his big friend's bark. "I've dreamed about going out there and living with them. They'd never take me in though," he laughed, shaking his head softly before flicking his tail as it laid out off the edge of the fence. "They'd send me away quicker than you could say 'three brown pellets'!" Blankie exclaimed, his ears swiveling as he listened to the sounds of the forest and the town behind him. "Plus, I'd never go without you. And I'd be sad without Mikey," he purred, his paws scratching at the wood.

Watching at her friend jumped to the top of the fence, the Maine Coon let worked on getting her fur flat once more. Mikey always did this to her - you'd think she'd learn to expect his loudness at this time of day. While she worked, Copper took in the other's words, thinking on them for a moment. Wouldn't take him? And why not? Surely they no reason to turn newcomers away right? Though, who was she to make such an assumption? She had no idea of their way of life or customs or what have you. She had absolutely no way of knowing what would happen if they actually left their homes to try and join them.
However, his last couple comments caught her attention. "I'd go with you," the she-cat responded immediately. "I mean, it's only natural that we stick together, right? And who's to say they wouldn't let us visit Mikey?" Of course, this was all hypothetical. She took the leap to the fence, though had a harder time stabilizing herself than he - she used to a continuous movement to get over and explore, not simply resigning herself to perching there. "And why do you think they'd turn you away?"

( It's okay 5, take your time ^^ ) ( I had to look up if cat's could actually furrow their brows, and they apparently can and it's amazing looking X-D )
"That's defiantly a possibility." Lionwhisker remarked as we went to sit just before the line dividing the territory to the land unclaimed by the Clan. His eyes burned into the distant horizon with his brow furrowed in thought before looking back towards Chillberry, lightly patting his front paws with his feathered tail. "But, is it a good idea for just us to go looking past the territory limits?" He questioned the tom with a **** of his head before continuing with a light smile. "I wouldn't want us to get hurt. And besides, it's just us two."
Lionwhisker wasn't to sure what was beyond the territory and could not guess what they could find while searching for the lost she-cat. He thought that they could mostly likely find a Twolegplace, which could in the end just have them missing as well or some kind of den filled with predators the tom very much didn't wish to come in contact with. It would be extremely risking to explore past the limits, the tom mused, but what if she really did leave? There was only really one way to find out, Lionwhisker decided. "What do you think?" He questioned and nodded his head in the direction past the territory as to ask what the other tom thought about leaving.

Chillberry stayed a pace or two behind the other warrior, looking across the border at what the world outside the territory held. Or, what he could see of it, anyway. While the other questioned him, he found that he didn't actually have an immediate response. He wasn't sure if it was a good idea, he wasn't even sure if the she-cat was beyond the territory. He also didn't know what leaving the borders behind would bring - twolegs? Unknown predators? Worst case scenario, they didn't make it back. Best case scenario, they found Squirrelpelt and brought her back in the shortest amount of time possible. Of course, there were thousands of possibilities between the two extremes.
Another question pulled him from his thoughts, and his eyes focused on the feline before him before making the slight shift to look beyond the border once more. "I think... We should consider the possibilities, as well as consider our own safety. But..." The warrior paused, trying to get his thoughts in an understandable order. If they left, they'd be exposed, without help, and vunerable to whatever was out there. On the other hand... "I think we should go - no harm in trying, right?"

The tom considered what Chillberry said and nodded his head before standing to his full height and stepped over the line dividing the Clan and the outside land. Lionwhisker turned towards the other tom who still stood inside the territories line and gave him a light chuckle. "Well I guess we're going on a adventure then." The toms eyes showed a lighter expression as he spoke to Chillberry and tried not to let the bad feeling about that could be beyond the Clan weigh down on him. "One step at a time." He spoke with a slight grin before beginning to walk further and further away. Lionwhisker knew that they were putting themselves in a bad situation waiting to happen, but their options were becoming thinner and thinner. His eyes shifted to look at the smaller figure of Chillberry and knew that if something happened he would put the tinnier toms safety above his own.

The warrior watched as the other tom simply stepped over the border - he hadn't thought Lionwhisker would just take his words so easily. He, however, hesitated. There was a lot that could go wrong, but if they were careful then they had nothing to lose by looking for their clanmate outside of the territory. The other's mild grin put him at ease, and he relaxed a little. Yeah, they could this - everything would be fine. They'd either return with Squirrelpelt or with nothing at all. Surely they would come out of this adventure fine, with new knowledge, and hopefully another member of their party.
Give a vague nod as if to reassure himself, Chillberry followed the larger tom over the border, providing a slight smile of his own. "Let's make the most of this, then." There was a gleam of determination in his bicolored eyes, and something like curiosity to match. In reality, he figured he was at least the slightest bit curious to see what lay beyond their borders. Of course, he was determined to find Squirrelpelt.
