This has been an abstract idea I've had since 2013 to make a roleplay involving seasons and with the help of ʀᴀɪɴʟᴇᴀғ 🍁 I got a more concrete idea of what I wanted and actually made it!
 Horaeclan is ruled by the gods/goddesses of the seasons that are constantly battling for power.
Whichever season deity is winning, is which season it is, meaning spring can be followed by winter, or autumn by spring, etc. There are different ranks for cats with different specialties and depending on the season. They are:
Trackers (Spring)
Warriors (Summer)
Hunters (Autumn)
Guards (Winter)
Because of these different ranks tied to the deities there is sometimes internal conflict within the clan.
The season deities will act as Horaeclan's Starclan. There is no set place for communication, although the leader and medicine cat will travel outside of clan territory to try and clear their head to make for an easier connection.
The territory is large, almost as big as four regular clans' territories combined. There is a small mountain range to the north, a lake borders the south-east with a river flowing through the territory to the south-west; the rest of the territory is forest.
The camp is located in the northern part of the territory, it sits where a mountain cliff meets the forest.
Since there is no other clans, there is a meeting for every seven sunrises instead of every full moon. Horae is the (greek) goddess of seasons, the clan is named after her due to the seasons being a large part of this roleplay.
There are four minor gods and goddesses under her that represent the four seasons. They are:
Eiar (Spring) - a short-haired pale gray tabby she-cat with light green eyes
Theros (Summer) - a hairless pink tom with large bat-like ears and bright blue eyes
Phthinoporon (Autumn) - a bobtailed calico she-cat with brown eyes
Cheimon (Winter) - a long-haired white tom with vibrant icy eyes
 Leader:
Dappledstar - sleek, red tinted light brown tabby she-cat with green eyes who has a bad habit of worrying too much, especially about the fighting of the gods, she relies heavily on the medicine cat for assurance that all will be okay and to make sure nothing bad is upcoming; the job of being leader and stopping internal conflicts within the clan drains her, but it is also the only thing that brings her joy as she loves the clan dearly; she is on her sixth life

Alderfly - a ruddy somali with dark eyes and gray fur lining her back, forehead, and tail; the gray has black accents near the tips of her fur. She's fairly young at 28 moons, with a lithe build beneath her longer fur; she stands at the average height for a she-cat, but has shorter legs than most
Trackers:
Ashwhisker - large, light gray tabby she-cat with dark whiskers and milky eyes; she is blind and so many of the clan steer away from her because they don't know what to say or how to interact with her despite all her wanting is a friend; her blindness was developed as an apprentice when she got a double eye infection that could not be treated at the time due to herb shortage; because she is blind her other senses are heightened which makes it easy to overhear things and makes her an excellent tracker; she is very anxious and shy at first, but once she feels comfortable with someone she can be quite snarky
Warriors:
Mightymouse - average sized white tom with amber eyes and gray patches, one is unevenly placed on his muzzle; he wobbles quite a bit when he walks but is still a fairly good fighter despite that; he also has issues with his eyes focusing properly, he can follow movement but it's delayed, he is better on the offensive than defensive because of this; it is hard to tell what he is thinking, much less know what to expect from him, his interactions are always very different than the ones before
Stonestreak - a silvery-gray she-cat with a black "dorsal stripe" running directly down her back, stopping at the tip of her tail; she is a lithe she-cat with short cropped fur close to her skin and could be considered attractive by some toms, though her bright greens eyes can be somewhat imposing; though it has healed, a scar is still visible on her chin which as an apprentice she claimed she got from a mountain lion, that is not true whatsoever, she tripped and a stick scratched her chin, eventually scarring; the she-cat can be quite clumsy, and for that reason she has one splayed paw which usually trips her up, it never healed properly as an apprentice; it isn't hard to see that she is quite accident prone, though she seems to be content as a warrior she is in truth very ambitious and wants to have more in her life than just being a warrior, and eventually a queen; she is a bit competitive and gets a bit upset when she loses, though she attempts to not show it;, and bantering with others is one of her favorite pastimes, she always enjoys teasing her fellow warriors; she can be slightly squeamish when it comes to fighting, though she does what she has to in order to survive
Hunters:
Swiftwind - small, sleek, cream colored tom with brown markings on his paws, tail, muzzle, and ears,he has light green eyes and strong but slender legs; he is highly energetic and considered to be the fastest in the clan; he got the name Swiftkit when he was born due to his sleek appearance and how his mother's delivery was very speedy, even for having two kits, (the other being his brother, Lightbuck) the medicine cat had remarked at the time that it was one of the most swift and lightest delivery she had assisted so his mother named him and his brother after those words; he got the full name Swiftwind for obvious reasons - he was astonishingly fast; he is a very easy going tom, he's always playing around and making jokes
Hazelfawn - a golden-brown tabby she-cat with a white muzzle; at twenty-four moons, she is still a fairly young she-cat, and the aura of youth she gives off is further heightened by her small stature and wide yellowish-green eyes
Guards:
Lightbuck - large, muscular, light brown tabby tom with a white speckled chest and blue eyes; his stature is very different than that of his brother's, where Swiftwind jokes around and makes things fun and light-hearted, he is quite the opposite, despite being given the name Lightkit as birth; he is anything but light, he is very solemn and serious and very well respected among the clan for his rationality skill and ability to make quick and effective decisions for the good of the clan
Mistheart - a jet black she-cat, except for her left ear which has one thin stripe of light gray running up the side. She has a very thick pelt, and sheds a lot; a small light pink scar runs down the top of her right leg, to her paw, she got it in a battle in as an apprentice, her first one; she's a petite she-cat, quite a bit smaller than normal with emerald colored eyes
Queens & kits:
Lithestream - very pretty, small, sleek silver she-cat with bright green eyes; she is very quiet unless she feels like an injustice has been done, whether to her or someone else; the most important thing to her is loyalty and she believes anything that goes against clan law of defies the wishes of the gods is treason; she hopes to raise er kits with these values on her own as the father is unknown (normally a tracker)

Juno - small, long furred black she-cat with bright amber eyes and a berry pink nose; she is a strange character who is rogue and does not disclose much about her past but small bits and pieces here and there; she acts very odd at times to say the least; one minute she will be buddy-buddy with you and the next she'll be at your throat
Hero - a long legged, hairless gray tom with large bat like ears and vivid blue eyes; despite being a loner, he is very faithful to the season gods, but especially worships the god of summer, Theros, who he believes himself to be descended from; while he himself does not have any direct ties to the clan, his mother's father was once a member and he is aware of this and the clan's existence; he desires to join the clan in hopes of getting closer to Theros- forum rules apply
- please do NOT ask for a large rank if you will not be active
- do not take on more characters you can handle, if I notice you have inactive characters I will ask you to limit yourself down; maximum of ten unless you prove you can handle more than that
- no powerplaying
- I have a idea for plot of the rp but if you have any ideas please pm me (don't post here) and we can talk about it as I'm always open for suggestions
- if you have a power rank and have an extended, unexcused absent you will be demoted and your rank will be given to someone else; if you have an excused absent there will be a temporary role replacement and we will pretend your character is too

Hazelfawn - Hunter - Hazelfawn is a golden-brown tabby she-cat with a white muzzle. At twenty-four moons, she is still a fairly young she-cat, and the aura of youth she gives off is further heightened by her small stature and wide yellowish-green eyes.

Alderfly --
Alderfly purred softly as her eyes trailed her line of herbs, seeing with a great satisfaction that they were all well stocked and in correct order. It was one less thing to be anxious about - but, knowing her, those things were as endless as the Gods' quarrels. She drew her ears back, feeling for perhaps the third time that day that she was lonely and a little lost without her mentor for guidance. Rising to the occasion to lead the Clan as sole medicine cat was always her destiny,
but an uncertain one, and she couldn't help but to feel a little aimless. Warriors each had their duties, and even then, they had a deputy to guide them. While Alderfly responded to Dappledstar first and foremost, she still felt a little lost - there always seemed to be too much time, or when winter hit, sudden and cruel, too little time.

Ashwhisker sat near the medicine cat den, her ears swiveling around as far as they could go, she was listening to her clan mates in hopes that she'd find a way to enter a conversation. Most of Tue clan didn't know what to say to her or how to behave around her. They all seemed to watch her from the side lines, grow quiet when she came near, and avoided when they could. It was lonely, and she wished as always that she had sight, so then that way her clanmates wouldn't look at her as they did. There was one cat who didn't seem to avoid her as much, but Ashwhisker could sense that she was stressed with the new pressure and felt like she'd only impose on her if she approached. So instead she sat near the medicine cat den in hopes that one day she'd have a true friend.
Dappledstar tossed and turned within her nest. Lately the seasons had been changing more and more frequently. Normally it'd he one for a while before there was a shift in power. But not as of late, in fact it seemed that almost everyday was a new season. She groaned, she knew she should get up and take care of clan leader duties, but lately Dappledstar felt so drained that she was uncertain if she was fit to be leader. Had the God's made a mistake in granting her nine lives?

Alderfly padded over to Ashwhisker, purring softly so the she-cat knew a friendly face was approaching. "Gods willing...
I think we need to find you a new hobby, one that's not moping." Although the words were a bit blunt, her voice was filled with humor and a tease - it was that friendliness that usually got her out of a tongue-lashing for her insensitivity.
"The morning dew always feels nice on your paws - maybe a stretch in the forest would do you good? I'm going to look around for fresh cobwebs, you should come with." She curled her tail humorously, and stretched, the tips of her black paws contracting and momentarily revealing sharp, but rarely used claws. "Unless you're having more fun laying around..?"

She is a lithe she-cat with shot cropped fur close to her skin. Stonestreak could be considered attractive by some toms, though her bright greens eyes can be somewhat imposing. Though it has healed, a scar is still visible on her chin which as an apprentice she claimed she got from a mountain lion. That is not true whatsoever, she tripped and a stick scratched her chin, eventually scarring. The she-cat can be quite clumsy, and for that reason she has one splayed paw which usually trips her up. It never healed properly as an apprentice. It isn't hard to see that Stonestreak is quite accident prone. tHough she seems to be content as a warrior she is in truth very ambitious and wants to have more in her life than just being a warrior, and eventually a queen. Stonestreak is a bit competitive and gets a bit upset when she loses, though she attempts to not show it. Bantering with others is one of her favorite pastimes, and always enjoys teasing her fellow warriors. The she-cat can be slightly squeamish when it comes to fighting, though she does what she has to in order to survive.

Ashwhisker purred with delight at the invitation, it was a great relief to be included in something. "Of course, but be careful, you might get your tongue bitten off by a spider if you're not careful, granted, they might be pierced to death by your sharp tongue." Ashwhisker teased Alderfly back before padding towards the entrance, she looked behind her - although looked wasn't the right word - and said, "you coming slow poke?"

Time to seize the day! Her cheerfulness was a bit unusual, but she felt as today would just be a good day, maybe the tensions in the clan would ease up a bit, though that was unlikely. The she-cat quickly brought herself to her paws and trotted out of the den.

Mightmouse's eyes opened at the commotion of Stonestreak getting out of the den. He watched the silver she-cats tail dissapear out the entrance. I guess I should get up too, he thought. He stretched himself and then exited the warriors den as well. "Morning!" He called to her, his paw steps uneven as he tried to follow her towards the center of the clearing.

Hazelfawn rose to the sweet scent of blossoming flowers and the gentle tug of a slowly-warming breeze. She groaned as she rolled over, contemplating burrowing deeper into her nest and shutting the world out for a few more hours. Though she'd always preferred spring's gentle warmth to summer's suffocating heat, something deep in her bones longed for autumn's crisp air and crisper leaves, its cool evenings and its colorful afternoons. Clan life just wasn't the same for a cat whose deity was out of season, especially after that first taste of how right it felt to belong to a goddess who was winning.
Come on, Phthinoporon, she thought, a bit more irritably than she would have liked. Hurry up a little.
Sighing, she climbed out of her nest and stepped into the warm sunlight beyond the den. All bias aside, even Hazelfawn had to admit that it was a beautiful day, even if it wasn't the sight she would have preferred to be greeted with that morning. She blinked as she took it in. She knew that she would soon have to set about figuring out her duties for the day and completing them, but she always preferred to take a moment to adjust to being up before leaping fully into the waking world.

"There's a bit of moss stuck to the fur on your tail," Swiftwind said, his whiskers twitching with amusement as he watched Hazelfawn climb out of the hunters den. "Anyways, Dappledstar still hasn't selected a new deputy," he said this in a quieter voice, as to not upset their leader, despite her being out of earshot. "Would you like to go hunting? One of the trackers said there's quite a bit of mouse activity by the lake, thinks there might be a nest around there."

Hazelfawn quickly whirled around and knocked the moss from her tail, ignoring the way the action made her pelt go hot with humiliation. As one of the youngest hunters in the Clan, Hazelfawn's reputation wasn't yet as respectable as she would have liked it to be; above all else, she was known for her playfulness, good humor, and curiosity, not necessarily for her prowess in battle or her work ethic - and apparently not for her grooming skills, either.
"Sounds like a good idea," she agreed, eager to brush past the moss incident. She eyed the dwindling fresh-kill pile, noting that the queens and elders might soon find reason to complain without a bit of luck in the forest. "I need to stretch my legs, anyway. I think I slept funny last night."
She started towards the camp's entrance at a leisurely place, relishing the feeling of sunlight warming her pelt. Still, Swiftwind's words had brought other concerns to her mind, deeper than any bedding misshap or hunting adventure. She dropped her voice lie and quiet on instinct, well aware that her clanmates could be listening in at any moment.
"So about the deputy thing..." Here, Hazelfawn trailed off, suddenly uncertain. It was hard not to talk about HoraeClan's latest opening without recalling the loss that had brought them there, and she certainly didn't want to seem insensitive. She chose her next words carefully. "Do you have your eye on it?"

Swiftwind let out an amused purr, and headed towards the camp entrance, ignoring her question at first. Once they were out of range of their clanmates, he whirled and said in a somewhat stern tone, "do not mistake me for my brother, I am no leader, I am simply a follower. I would never, never go after deputy, not only would it harm my already strained relationship with my brother, but it would also be bad for the clan, you can't have a hunter succeed a hunter, and you know Dappledstar was a hunter, it would cause strife within the clan, the others would claim favoritism." His eyes were blazing and his pelt ruffled, his back arched in hostility. He rarely lost his temper, especially with younger cats who knew no better, but deputy was a touchy subject at the moment given last night's argument with Lightbuck.

How about you?" He sat down, which made his wobbliness let noticeable, and curled his tail around his paws. He finally got his eyes to focus, not on her face though but rather her ears, which irritated him, he hated his disability, but he tried to stay positive just the same.

She found it quite rude. |

(Aww thats cool you modeled a character off of him. Did he get adopted?) Stonestreak sighed at the thought of spring going away. He was right, it does seem like the seasons change quicker, but that was most likely bias because she preferred the spring weather. "I have no idea honestly," She admitted. "Hopefully for quite awhile, I do enjoy the spring,"I do hope Theros gets control. If not spring, summer is my preferred season. What would you say?" All her life, Hazelfawn had been scolded for her over-the-top loyalty to Phthinoporon.
Some called her biased. Others called her extreme. Her mother had called her unfair to your clanmates; her mentor, irresponsible. In Hazelfawn's opinion, it was completely rational to favor hunters over other clanmates, peace between seasons be damned, and, try as she might, she didn't always see the fuss about a bit of favoritism. Of course she favored her own! It was only natural, after all.
Privately, she'd been hoping that Swiftwind would agree with her, that he would see just how important it was to keep HoraeClan in the paws of the hunters for as many moons as possible. As soon as he opened his mouth, however, she saw what a mousebrain she'd been to expect him to share her sentiments. It was only natural for such a seasoned, wise warrior to be so rational about the whole affair, and she immediately felt sheepish for having apparently touched a nerve.
"I understand," she offered cautiously. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rude. I just -"
But there was no good way to finish that sentence, and quietly, she let it fall.
