Messy scarlet hair was pulled up in a pony tail, a loose lock of hair tucked behind her ear. A cream colored backpack was pulled over her shoulders. A white, short sleeved top stood out against a black skirt. Two light hands reached up and tugged at the band that held her hair up before it snapped. She set the broken hair holder on the desk before grabbing her brush and combing out her hair. "Cerise sweetie, hurry or you'll be late. You want to get a head start, don't you?" A voice called from down bellow. "Coming mom!" She called back. She hurriedly fixed her hair before tying in a silver ribbon into her soft hair, similar to a head band. She rushed downstairs, hugged her mom and swung open the door, running towards her father's lab, see, he was the Professor here.

um, how about just our own region? like we can use all the pokemon from the series and games, but it'd just be terrain we make up as we roleplay)

The quiet little Fire-Type peaked her thin muzzle out of the little Oran Berry bush, sniffing the hair for any people or Pokemon. Not detecting any near her, the fox-like creature leapt out with a soft swish. She paused, her eyes adjusting to the harsh morning light as she began to softly pad down the frequently traveled human foot-path.

Cerise opened the door to her fathers lab and walked in to find he wasn't in the main room. She went over to the door in the back and opened it into the large room full of desks, test tubes and helping pokemon. She noticed her dad in the back talking to one of the workers. "Hey dad!" She called, waving her hand. He looked over at her and said, "Be there in a sec."

To say that Jackson had been waiting for this day would be an understatement. For the first time in a long time, he was willingly up and out of bed in the early hours of the morning, waking the Gible that had been sleeping on a cushion on the ground next to him.
"JaeJae!" He hadn't named this Gible himself, his father had, but Jackson never questioned the name and the pokemon seemed to like it. "Today's the day!" Jae seemed to smile, its little hands waving excitedly.
Jackson was in the kitchen, ready and set to go before his mother was done with breakfast. She smiled at him, ruffled his hair and placed a plate of fresh fruit and pancakes in front of him. He couldn't have eaten it up fast enough. Within ten minutes, the boy was out the door, his Gible following him hurriedly. They were going to the professors, to get a PokeDex so that they could set off on their journey and Jackson could become a Pokemon trainer.

Cerise walked back into the main room and, not long after, her father walked into the room. "Your first pokemon, have you thought about who you're going to choose?" Her father asked. "Yep, for sure." She replied. "Alright then, let's wait a bit until we get started incase anyone else is on their way, you are early after all."

Jackson all but burst into the main room of the laboratory, Gible tumbling in after him. He took a quick look around and was surprised to find that, aside from the professor, a girl was already present. And I thought I was early. Smiling sheepishly, the boy waved, "Hey. I'm Jackson. And this," he gestured towards the Gible, "This is Jae."

"Hello, I'm Cerise," Cerise waved at the boy. "Now that you're here I can start the speech that I'm required to say." Her father started. "Hello, I'm Professor Ice, this region's Pokemon Professor. The world we live in is full of many mysterious creatures known as pokemon, many known, but also many unknown. We live together with these magnificent beings, lending our strength to one another to live and prosper. Your pokemon will be your partner, traveling with you loyally throughout your journey. You will protect each other and meet many more pokemon together. Here is your very own Pokedex, it will tell you all about the pokemon you encounter." He said, handing each of them a pokedex. Then he whistled and three pokemon came out of the back room. "Jackson, I suppose that you won't be getting a starter pokemon?" Her father asked, gesturing towards Jae.
