So I wrote this about 8 to 10 years ago and it was my first Fan-fiction. Here it is, unedited.
Chapter 1
Blood ran down the young ginger and white she-cat. Her tears sparkled as they hran down her mangled face. "Why? Why must you do this to me Cloudtail? We're mates! Remember?" Brightheart cried.
The white tom smiled wickedly as a black collar's green lights blinked. He lifted up his claws and slashed at her once more. He purred as his claws meet the ripping skin on Brightheart's face.
Brightheart screeched in pain and looked up at the cat she once loved. "I know the collar is controlling you, but I also know you can fight it! Please try!" The she-cat pleaded.
Cloudtail grinned. "There is no hope for us, or the clan!." He took his claws and jammed them into her throat.
"Why?" Brightheart cried for the last time, then close her eye.
Brambleclaw watched the horror happen as he and Squirrelflight hid behind a large, gray bolder.
"Good Starclan! What has happened here?!? All these cats, could some be surviving Bloodclan members? I mean look at their collars!" Brambleclaw yowled to Squirrelflight.
"I don't think so, some of these cats are clan! Why do you think there killing there own kin?" The ginger she-cat mewed.
"I don't know, but we'll get to the bottom of this!" The tabby warrior growled.
Squirrelflight looked worried. Sure her mate did great things, but could he handle this? Just then Lionblaze padded over, with a black collar, just like Cloudtail's, wrapped around his neck.
"Lionblaze! Oh no, they got you!" Brambleclaw yowled, his amber eyes clouded with worry.
"That right father. Why don't you join us?" The bracken colored tom purred and held a collar in his mouth.
"No! You'll never get me to wear one of those collars!" Brambleclaw growled.
"We'll see about that." Lionblaze purred then tackled the large warrior and slipped on a collar.
"R-run Squirrelflight!" Brambleclaw cried as his vision slowly faded away into blackness and the collar's lights glowed green.
The she-cat nodded and ran off, not looking back.
The ginger she-cat ran as fast as she could to Windclan territory. She felt as if her lungs and paws were on fire, yet she couldn't stop, no not yet. She stopped when she spotted a dark gray tom.
"Crowfeather! There you are! Is Windclan alright?" Squirrelflight asked, worry crossed her face.
"No, Squirrelflight, Windclan isn't fine! Cats in strange collars have attacked us! Even some of our own!" He growled. "Does Thunderclan have something to do with this?!?!?" Crowfeather stood in a battle form, waiting to strike.
"What?!? No! Thunderclan is being attacked as well! So don't pin this on us!" Squirrelflight yowled.
Crowfeather nodded and sat down. "So what will we do about this?" He asked with a slightly confused face.
"We do nothing." Squirrelflight mewed simply.
"Nothing?!? That's your plan? We cant just do nothing when our friends are dying!" The dark gray warrior growled.
"Is there anything we can do? Look, we'll all die even trying." The she-ca sighed.
"I thought you never gave up." Crowfeather mewed
"Well this time I do!" Squirrelflight worked the ground with her claws.
"I don't care what you say, I'm going to fix this mess, with, or without you." Crowfeather turned to face his home then stalked away.
"Crowfeather! Wait, its dangerous!" The she-cat yowled. She ran over the hill where Crowfeather disappeared to to see the gray warrior laying on the ground, his neck slit open, a scarlet pool flowed from his wound. His blue eyes glazed over as he took his last breath.
"No! Crowfeather!" Squirrelflight cried. "Why?!? Why didn't you listen?!?"
A large sand colored she-cat looked up from the tom she had just killed. A large black collar with blinking green lights hung around her neck.
"Sandstorm! Why did you?....." Squirrelflight noticed the collar that her mother was wearing. "Oh no, t-they got you too......." Tears rolled down the ginger cat's face.
Sandstorm laughed and crept closer towards her daughter. "Its your turn now." She smiled and eyes widened from her insaneness.
Squirrelflight shook her head. "No, I'll kill you before that! I don't care if you are my mother!" She yowled.
"Oh, those are brave words little one." The she-cat laughed the tackled Squirrelflight, her claws inches away from her neck.
Squirrelflight struggled to get away. Her survival instincts kicked in and bite Sandstorm's neck. She watched at her smiled went away and her life was fading.
"I'm sorry, but I'm not ready to die yet." The ginger warrior mewed, stood up, and ran away, leaving the sandy she-cat to lay there as drops of blood trickled away.
Squirrelflight headed to Shadowclan territory to find any survivors, but all she could see was a large fire in the place of its camp.
"Those monsters!" She yowled. She watched as ash fell down like snow would. One of the small little flakes landed on her nose, it was still hot, probably just came out of the fire. That small little piece of ash burned her nose a bit. She shook it off and walked away from the camp. She would go to Riverclan next.
As she padded through the pine covered forest, she started to hear whispering. Whispers like "Why did you leave me behind Squirrelflight?" Or "Why didn't you save me?" Squirrelflight shook her head. She must have been going crazy cause the voices sounded like her friends and family. But when she looked around, only the wind greeted her.
She was almost at Riverclan, when she spotted a little kit. The kit wasn't moving at all but then when she poked it with a paw, the little scrap of fur looked up. Squirrelflight backed away a bit as she saw the little black collar around his neck.
She stepped on the kit to make sure he didn't try to attack her. Then slid out her claws and was about to kill it.
"W-wait!" The small gray kit yowled. "I-it doesn't work! The collar doesn't work! D-dont kill me!" He cried.
Squirrelflight stared at the kit. Cat with collars never lied about being under control. The ginger she-cat backed off the young kit and smiled a little.
"What is your name little one?" She asked the gray and black tom.
"I-i don't remember......" he sniffled and began to cry.
She smiled and littler the top of his head. "I'll name you Deathkit, for you may see maybe cats dying, but will avenge their death. And you will travel with me. I will be your mentor." Squirrelflight smiled and purred.
Deathkit's pale blue eyes shined and he too purred. "Alright miss!"
"Call me mom." Squirrelflight purred
"Alright, mom." Deathkit mewed. "Can we go now?"
Squirrelflight, along with Deathkit, padded to Riverclan. As they journeyed to the clan, they watched silently as collared cats killed, or changed the others. While Squirrelflight was distracted, she tripped on something.
"Mousedung!" Squirrelflight yowled. "What in Starclan did I trip on?!?"
"S-squirrelflight!" A blueish gray she-cat layed on the ground.
"Mistystar! What are you doing here?" Squirrelflight mewed and pulled Deathkit near her with her tail.
"I-its all gone. All of it!" The she-cat cried.
"Hold on. What are you talking about? What's all gone?" Squirrelflight asked.
"Riverclan. All the others are dead or collared. My clan, I thought it would survive anything, but." Tears fell down her cheeks and she looked up at the gray tom and ginger she-cat. "I couldn't save them. I failed. I-its all my fault."
Squirrelflight shook her head. "No Mistystar. Its not your fault."
Deathkit watched as a large black tom came from the horizon. "Mistystar! Watch ou-" But Deathkit was to late. The tom had already killed Mistystar.
Deathkit shook in fear. He knew this tom, this was the tom that had killed his parents.
Squirrelflight jumped back in surprise. "Who are you?!?" Squirrelflight growled.
"I am Scorch's son, Raven." He laughed. "I came for the kit."
"Scorch? You mean the leader of Bloodclan?" Squirrelflight shook her head. "No, you wont get this kit! Hes mine!"
Raven laughed in an evil way. "Hes my son, I came back to claim him."
"What?!? B-b-but you cant be! I saw you kill my father!" Deathkit cried.
"He wasn't your real father. Your mother asked him to say he was. Now, you must come with me, my son." Raven purred. "And we will live in blood and horror forever."
Deathkit started to back away slowly at the words "blood" and "horror". "I-i don't want to kill. I want to save lifes, I want to help others, I want to journey with Squirrelflight." Deathkit mewed. He was fully aware he could kill him for this. He closed his eyes and waited for the blow.
Raven stared at him, long and hard. A small smile crossed his face. The tall black tom started to laugh.
Deathkit opened his eyes in shock that he hadn't killed him yet, and even more so that he was laughing.
Raven took a step forward towrads his son and smiled his cruel, twisted grin.
Squirrelflight stepped in front of Deathkit. Her ginger fur bushed against his gray and black pelt. "I will never let you harm him! If you kill anyone, kill me!" The she-cat growled. "I already lost kits by your claws! I wont have you kill another."
Raven smiled once more. "Another time maybe, but I do need you out of the way for now." Raven knocked Squirrelflight to the ground with a large black paw.
"Squirrelflight! No!" Deathkit yowled and ran over to the fallen she-cat. He snapped his head towards his father. "What did you do to her!" He growled.
"Don't be that way, I didn't kill her. I just knocked her to the ground, not my fault she passed out." Raven laughed. "Now son, come with me."
"No! I rather die then help you!" Deathkit yowled.
Raven laughed once more. "You will die soon, but not yet. I will kill you when I'm ready to." Raven mewed and ran over to a tree. After climbing it, he jumped through tree to tree.

Chapter 2
Its been a year, the collared cats have killed or collared everyone but three cats, Squirrelflight, Deathkit, who has become Deathfall under the mentoring of Squirrelflight, and a new member to the group, a young gray and white she-cat who they named Lifepaw. She was like Deathfall in many ways, She was born into the time where everything had fell to ruins, Just like her, he to had been born into this era. She had a collar that didn’t work, just like him. Yes, in these ways he was like her. But those were the only things they had in common. He was strong and tough while she was puny and weak. He was serious and careful, She was silly and clumsy. He didn’t like her and tried to stay away from her, She liked him and tried to stick by his side. He was death, She was life………..
Deathfall padded next to Squirrelflight, looking for something to eat, prey had become scarce since the collars took over. The weather seemed effected by them too, Squirrelflight had told stories about how in New-Leaf it was warm and bright, now a days it was always dark and cold. The sun rarely shined, and when it did, it was still freezing. Deathfall was glad for his thick, black and gray pelt. He felt sorry for cats like Lifepaw, who had a thin, white pelt.
Lifepaw padded up to Deathfall and smiled. Her cold, wet pelt brushed against his warm, dry one. She had been fished out of the river by Deathfall after tripping on a slippery pebble trying to cross. She looked up at him with large, emerald green eyes. She said nothing, for the look in her eyes seemed enough. She loved him, and he knew it. Though she never said it he could tell. She was always stuck by his side. Her collar hit his side as she walked. He was annoyed but held his tongue. He knew how much a hassle it was to have a large, black, medal collar hanging from you neck.
“Deathfall? Do you think we’ll find some prey this time?” She mewed, her voice muffled by the sound of the crackle of the large, never ending fire that was once Shadowclan.
The large tabby shook his head. “Not around here, no.”
“But, its almost night, the collars will be here soon…….” The small she-cat whimpered. She was the most afraid when it came to the collared. She was attacked by her brother who was forced to by the will of the controller collar, Raven, the son of Scourge and the father of Deathfall.
He smiled and rested his tail on her neck. “Don’t worry, me and Squirrelflight will protect you.”
Squirrelflight nodded. “By the way Lifepaw, Deathfall has a surprise for you when we get back home.”
Lifepaw’s eyes widened. “A surprise?” She smiled and ran to a large hollow oak tree they called home.
Deathfall stopped and looked over at his former mentor. “A surprise?” He asked. “I don’t have one……..”
The ginger she-cat smiled. “Its about time to give her her warrior name, isn’t it?”
He nodded. “I guess your right…..” He padded after the white she-cat. After they were all there, he sat up straight and gave a small smile. “Lifepaw, its time you have your warrior name.”
Lifepaw stood shooked. “M-my warrior name? Y-you think im ready?”
The large tom laughed. “Of course. Now, by Starclan’s will I give you your warrior name, from now on you will be called-” He paused as he heard a whisper say “Lifeflight”
“Lifeflight.” He mewed.
Lifeflight gave a small twirl of delight. “Just like Squirrelflight’s name!” she mewed and purred.
No, there was another reason, the white she-cat wasn’t named after Deathfall’s mentor, She was named that because he believed Starclan told him to.
The cats soon fell asleep. Deathfall began to dream, dream about starry eyed cats.
“Welcome to Starclan Deathfall.” A large sand colored she-cat mewed.
“I-im dead?” He asked, mixed emotions showed in his amber eyes. Sorrow, happiness, and anger.
“No, we called you here to tell you something.” She mewed. “Life and Death will walk paw in paw. If Life fades, Death will spread across the forest to the lakes. And the Raven will have the last laugh.” And with that, the she-cat faded away.

Chapter 3
Deathfall woke up, the sky was dark and the air was cold. He looked over to find a sleeping Lifeflight next to him. He smiled as he watched her flank fall gently then rise back up. Deathfall got up, careful not to disturb the sleeping she-cats. It was autumn, the leaves have fallen and crunched under his paws. The only light he had was the full moon and stars, this was just enough to see a dark figure in the trees. He recognized this figure, it was his so-called father and leader of the collared., Raven. The toms icy eyes sparkled in the moonlight. Raven jumped down gracefully from the large oak tree the failed to hide him.
“Hello son, I see your doing well.” Raven mewed with the same twisted smiled across his face.
Deathfall nodded. “And I see your still the cruel leader that killed my mother.” His claws slid out and worked at the dirt, leaving large claw marks. “You’ve come to kill me, haven’t you?”
Raven smiled and walked closer to his son. “Your clever, just like me.” he purred and sat down. The tom seemed smaller the Deathfall. He looked as if the gray and black tom could easily kill him. But Deathfall knew better, he’d wait and watch to see how strong he was before he would attack.
“Im nothing like you.” The large tom growled. His amber eyes stared into Raven’s blue ones.
Lifeflight walked out of the den, her eyes closed as she stretched. When she was done, she looked up at the two toms in surprise. “Deathfall? Who is that?” The clueless she-cat walked closer the them.
“Lifeflight! Stay away from him you stupid furball!” Deathfall hissed. The white she-cat stopped in confusion. She looked at Raven, then at Deathfall.
Raven walked closer the her and smiled. “Im Deathfall’s father, Raven. Pleased to meet you.”
Deathfall’s tail swooshed back and forth. He didn’t like the fact he was so friendly to her. He wondered why he felt like that. Before he didn’t care if she had gotten collared or killed. But lately he felt protective of the young she-cat. Could this feeling be….. Love?
Lifeflight slowly backed away. She, too, did not like the fact Raven had taken a likening to her. She only wanted to be with Deathfall since she met him. She ran straight for Deathfall and hid behind him.
“Ah, I see……. Well then, I will see you two later.” Raven mewed before vanishing into the trees.
Deathfall watched him as the black tom leaped from tree to tree. He lashed his tail once more in anger. “I really hate that tom.” He spat.
Lifeflight looked up at Deathfall and he looked down at her. “Deathfall?” She mewed in a soft voice.
“Yes Lifeflight?” He mewed back. The black ash once again rained. Reminding him of the time Squirrelflight had found him many seasons ago.
The white she-cat’s pelt slowly turned black from the soot and ash. She blushed and blurred out four words, words she never before dared to say. “Deathfall! I love you!” Lifeflight yowled.
Deathfall blushed deeply at her words. He smiled and bent down to where his muzzle was near her ear. “I love you too, Lifeflight. The stars seemed brighter that night. But they still worried that the collared were out there, watching their every move.
To be continued in book 3.…………….

Chapter 4
The three walked side by side, Lifeflight on Deathfall’s left and Squirrleflight on his right. It was one of those rare, sunny days. The prey seemed to be coming back and the three of them have had their fill. Lifeflight stopped to catch her breath. Deathfall smiled at his mate. It had been months since the day they saw Raven and her belly seemed larger then before. Could she possibly be expecting kits? Deathfall shook his head. At this era, It be a terrible idea to have kits. Still, she had been eating more and having a hard time walking. The ginger she-cat stopped to wait for her, as did he.
“Lifeflight! Hurry up or you might be attacked!.” Squirrelflight mewed and walked over the the plump she-cat.
“S-sorry, its just, its been hard to walk lately…….” She mewed and sat down. “I-I don’t know whats wrong……”
Squirrelflight smiled and looked at her stomach. She bent down to whisper in her ear. “Your expecting Deathfall’s kits, aren’t you?”
Lifeflight fell backwards in surprise by the she-cat’s words. “K-kits? W-why would I have kits when everyone is dieing!” She said worried.
Squirrelflight smiled and licked the top of her head. “They’ll be fine. They have Deathfall and you. Im sure they’ll be fine.” She purred and started walking back to the tall, gray and black tom. She took a long look at him. He was strong and smart, He’d make a fine leader once she was gone. She purred. He reminded her of Brambleclaw. Suddenly she fell, she knew she was getting old, the gray fur proved it.
Deathfall helped the elderly she-cat up and walked besides her. “Lifeflight! Give me a little help here!” He yowled and the pretty white cat came running to him, taking up the other side of Squirrelflight.
It was the next day, Deathfall had woken up to the smell of smoke. His amber eyes showed his worry as he yowled for the others to get up.
Lifeflight got up and stared at the large fire. It had made it way from Shadowclan to the oak tree they made their home. “Squirrelflight!” She yowled. “Where are you!” The ginger she-cat was out of sight until out of the corner of her eye she spotted her. “Squirrelflight! I’ll help you!” She started the lift the she-cat with her muzzle.
“No, you have to leave me here.” She mewed with a smile spread across her face. “ It will be to late otherwise. Think of the kits.”
Lifeflight flinched but nodded. “I-I understand…… We’ll never forget what you’ve done for us……” And with that, she ran out, following Deathfall.
“Wheres Squirrelflight?” He asked. “Isn’t she with you?” He looked around, trying to fine the cat who had taken him in as her son. “Squirrelflight?” He called out.
Lifeflight looked at her paws. “She’s gone, and shes never coming back…….” A few tears fell to the ground.
Deathfall thought for a bit and nodded. “Oh, S-she didn’t make it out………….” He whispered half to himself.
“Deathfall, I just wanna say that-” She was cut off by pain in her stomach, she gasped and yowled out in pain.
The tom looked at her in surprise. “Lifeflight? Whats wrong?” The she-cat looked up at him, it was easy to see what was happening. Her kits were coming. “Lifeflight, y-your expecting, aren’t you?”
She nodded and gasped in pain once more as she felt a kit coming. “Deathfall! H-help!” Deathfall stood there in shock, not knowing what to do. He ran to get moss and possibly a stick to bite down on.
By the time he got back, there were two little kits laying by her side. One kit, was a small ginger tom with one white leg. He looked just like Squirrelflight. Deathfall felt him start to tear up. The other was a small dark gray she-cat with black tabby markings, just like him. The new kits gave him hope, hope that things would return the way things were in Squirelflight’s time.
Lifeflight looked up at him then at the kits. “I think the ginger tom should be called Squirrelkit, and the she-cat Hopekit. What do you think?”
His amber eyes shined and he smiled. “Perfect. I think its perfect.”
----------------------
Chapter 6 (Apparently I couldn't count)
After the fire things seemed bleak. The only thing that gave Deathfall any hope was his
kits and mate. The kits, Squirrelkit and Hopekit were happy and healthy. Squirrelkit batted his
sister’s gray ear and Hopekit went to bite down on her brother’s ginger tail. For the first time in
Deathfall’s life, he was happy. He was a father and a warrior. The gray and black tom stood by
his mate, Lifeflight. Once, he had disliked the young, energetic she-cat, but now he loved her.
Deathfall looked around, cautions of any leaf that stirred. The collared were still out there, and
among them, his father.
Lifeflight was looking down at her kits, blue eyes filled with love. She looked from
Squirrelkit up to Deathfall.
“Deathfall…..” She began quietly. “I miss Squirrelflight……”
Deathfall nearly choked as he heard the name of his adopted mother. She had died in a fire
while Deathfall and Lightflight had escaped. Now she was lost in the place they called
Starclan.
“I-i miss her too, Lightflight. But we mustn't dwell of the past, that will only make us
weak.” Although he tried to convince her, he had trouble convincing himself.
Lifeflight nodded slowly, her white fur ruffled by the cold breeze. “I suppose so…… But
that doesn’t mean I don’t miss her……”
What a brave, young cat. She’s been though so much, yet nothing has fazed her.
Deathfall smiled and purred.
A black shape fell from the trees in front of Deathfall. Deathfall knew this cat and his fur
brisled at the sight of him.
“Raven.” The gray tom growled, his teeth bared, ready to attack. “Why are you here? Are
you here for our final battle?”
Raven smiled the same wicked smiled he always bared. “Why, aren’t you a smart
one, son. You must have got that from me.”
Lightflight wrapped her tail protectively around Squirrelkit and Hopekit. The kits looked
startled, their eyes as wide as the full moon that shined brightly in the night sky.
Deathfall turned towards his mate. “Get out of here. Im going to end this once and for
all.”
The small white she-cat nodded and rushed the kits to the now burned forest. When
Deathfall saw that she was gone, he turned to his father, claws and fangs shining. “Now, lets
end this. Good against evil in a final battle.”
The large black tom nodded eagerly and slid out his claws as well. “I agree. This time,
only one will leave breathing.”
Deathfall yowled and ran towards him, sinking his claws into the flesh of Raven’s neck,
then tried to throw him off balance.
Raven yowled in pain and sank his fangs into Deathfall’s spine. The air filled with the
fighting of the two cats, drawing the collared near.
Deathfall fell to the ground. Blood soaked his black and gray pelt. The warrior’s breath
was shallow and short. The leader of the collared smiled down at him.
“Its time this ends my son. It is time for you to die.” He raised his paw and pressed it to
Deathfall’s throat. “I gave you a chance to join me….” He sank his claws into the screaming
Deathfall. “.......But you refused. Now you will pay. It is time for light to fall, and darkness to

Chapter 7
Lightflight Padded up to the dark gray and black warrior's limp body, tears filling her blue eyes. Hopekit Looked down at Deathfall, her amber eyes growing wide.
"M-momma? W-whats wrong with father?" Hopekit mewed quietly as Squirrelkit sat by his sister, his ginger fur tangling with Hopekit's gray fur. Lightflight shook her head sadly and curled her tail around them. "Your father was a great warrior......" That was all she said before pressing her nose in his fur and started walking away.
Ash started raining down from the sky, Slowly starting to cover his body in soot.
Lightflight looked up and blinked in surprise. "Ash.....Squirrelflight said that one the day she found Deathfall, it was raining ash....."
Hopekit and Squirrelkit scurried to their mother, Hopekit flanking her left, Squirrelkit, the right.
Lightflight shook her head and started walking again. "Its about time to train you two....." She said without looking back. "Deathfall would have wanted that for you two....."
A few moons later, they had been lucky enough to not bump into a collared all that time. Hopekit and Squirrelkit were made into apprentices, Hopepaw and Squirrelpaw.
"Im going out hunting!" Squirrelpaw yowled to the others, heading for the exit of a small cave-like rock.
"Alright! Be careful and watch for the collars!" Lightflight called out.
"Understood." He mewed as he walked out. He scanned the area for danger and, or prey. "Good.... looks like that would be a good spot...." He mew to himself and started stalking towards a bush that was swishing side to side. Before he could pounce, a small black she-cat with a white crescent on her forhead pounced on him.
"Im so sorry! I thought you were a squirrel!" She mewed.
Squirrelpaw pushed her off with his back legs and got up, shaking the dust out of his fur. "Quite alright. Who are you?" He asked looking into her blue eyes.
"Im Night. Nice to meet you!" She purred.
Squirrelpaw circled around her. "Your not collared."
"Of course not! Im too fast!" She purred. "Hey, I have an idea!"
"What?" He asked, tilting his head.
Night grinned. "Follow me!" She leaped into the bushes and so did he. Behind the bushes was a large, black cat with a collar in his mouth.
"R-r-raven!" Squirrelpaw squealed.
Raven held Squirrelpaw down with one paw as he struggled.
Night took the collar from Raven and slipped it over Squirrelpaw's neck, and slowly, he stopped and the lights blinked green.
"He's ours now." Raven laughed.
