I'm going to stick all my characters in lunch.)) Aiglentina sat alone, eating her homemade lunch. It was easier for her to make lunch rather than wait in the line, as she was a vegetarian and a lot of the cafeteria food was questionable. She had also made her brother's lunch while she was at it that morning, though he had complained when he had found out. Egon had gone to sit with his friends. Looking at the line for food, he was glad his elder sister made his lunch that morning, or else he would have never gotten food. He had arrived late to lunch, so he would have been at the end of the line. Ayza walked into the lunch room late. She didn't seem to care, and the thin girl didn't hesitate to go and sit down. To her, it didn't matter if she knew who she was sitting with, for if she didn't the daughter of Yzma would quickly try to get to know them.

Hattie glanced across the cafeteria at Ayza, silently wondering to herself if the girl wanted company. She waved cheerily in her direction, deciding internally that if she elecited any sort of response or friendliness from the girl, she would go join her. Her sketches could always wait until later anyhow, she decided.

Ayza opened the lunch her godfather had made her. Looking up, she noticed someone waving at her. Smiling, she waved back, moving a little over in case the girl decided to sit with her, before looking at the food in front of her again. She was pretty sure she told Kronk that she didnt wasnt a big lunch, but that didnt stop him from making her one.

Hattie felt a surge of relief pass through her at Ayza's friendliness. Gathering her things, she paced over to the other girl.
"Mind if I sit with you?" she asked, adjusting her headphones so that they sat loosely around her neck. She held back from sounding to excited or anxious, although Hattie was social by nature, sometimes she tended to be, well...too social for her own good. But seeing as she'd only seen Ayza around in the halls before, she took the opportunity as one to make a new friend.

"Go ahead!" Ayza replied brightly. She knew she saw this girl around, but she just couldn't place the name. Suddenly, she snapped her fingers. "Oh, you're Hattie, right?" She always tried knowing the names of her schoolmates. "I'm Ayza Mazy. So, how has your day been?" Ayza, like her mother, was very talkative. She was also extremely social, and always made it her business to know everyone.

"Only you can believe all is lost but I know with time, nothing is lost." ย (OOC)
"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." ย Danny nodded in agreement before sighing. "Wanna ditch the rest of the day?" He asked. Mainly he didn't want to try dealing with his classes but he didn't want to be alone while he ditched them.

Hattie smiled gratefully at Ayza and took a seat.
"That's right, Hattie Sweetwood's the name! I'm pretty sure we have a class together, possibly History? I just sit way at the front of that class, so I never really get to socialize properly!" the sprightly girl laughed to herself. "But I know I've seen you around before. My day's been going pretty great honestly. I've just started a new art project, well, it's really just a personal sketching thing, but I'm already pretty excited about it. Want to see?" She set her sketchbook carefully down on the table in front of them.

Rune considered his offer. After lunch there were only a few more classes, and it wasn't like he was trying too hard to get good grades. His father didn't care that was for sure "Sure." he shrugged. According to some others he had talked to, he would have someone in each of the classes that he already knew. Socializing wouldn't really matter at this point.

Oliver traveled slowly through the halls, lunch bag gripped tightly in one hand, the other running through his soaking wet hair a bit nervously. His black shirt showed a slight hint of being damp, as did a few splashes down the front of jeans. He'd had to have a cup of water dumped on his head by his last teacher, because the teacher had tried to reclaim his class's attention by dropping a text book, and the sound had been enough to jump start a minor transition. Luckily, he'd stopped at whiskers and slightly wider ears, both of which he'd hidden from the rest of the class until they left and he could ask the teacher for some water. He'd spent his entire life hiding his curse, and he wasn't about to slip up now. Now, he slipped into the music room, expecting it to be empty so he could gain some composure over lunch before he went back to his normal day.

Marina was deep in one of her musical trances, strumming her guitar and singing along to one of her favourite rock songs, "Pour Some Sugar On Me". Suddenly, she sensed someone watching her from behind. Not one to be caught off guard, she set down her electric guitar and turned around in the teacher's desk chair she'd "borrowed" (hey, you couldn't spin around in the students' boring plastic chairs). She noticed the boy standing in the doorway.
"Hey," Marina said nonchalantly, re-adjusting her skull-and-crossbones bandana, "What brings you to this neck of the woods? You here for the jam session?" The otherwise seemingly brutish girl laughed warmly.

Oliver shook his head, partially to clear his head and partially to answer her question. "I was just looking for a quiet spot, but if you're here I'll just be-" he cut himself of, shaking his head the slightest bit. "Sorry for interrupting you, I'm Oliver," he said striding towards her with a hand outstretched for a handshake. He had been looking for a quite spot, but he always tried to be friendly, and just because he was still a little nervous about his previous close call didn't mean he wasn't going to stand by that.

Marina blinked slowly, taking in all that had just happened, and formulating a response. She liked this new kid (well, new to her, she didn't venture far outside of her band circle when it came to making friends), and didn't want to come off as callous. She stuck out a hand in return, her wildly-painted nails and dangly bracelets catching the light.
"I'm Marina, nice to meet 'cha. If you do need some peace and quiet, I don't mind setting aside old Joplin here for now" - she motioned to her electric guitar, and leaned it carefully up against the row of desks - "In fact, the practice room over there-" she motioned, stewardess-style, to a large, welcoming side-room with glass walls and filled with unused instruments and seating- "-is entirely soundproof. Considering we're the only ones here, I don't think Miss Belladonna will mind us using it". She blinked again, correcting herself, "...won't mind you using it, if you want alone time, that is." She wondered to herself whether the whole saying about misery loves company rang true or not in the real world. It certainly hadn't for her estranged father, but...

Oliver smiled lightly, shaking her hand firmly, twice, then releasing and letting his hands fall back down to his side. "Well, I was looking for quiet, but I never turn down a chance for a conversation, if you'd like to talk. You'll have to deal with me eating, though." He said, lifting his lunch and gesturing towards it. He pushed a few of the things cluttering the desk to the side, and settled down on the cleared space, setting his food down beside him. Oliver was pretty sure he'd seen Marina around the school at least once or twice, but he hadn't talked to her yet, and he figured the conversation might be well worth it, if she was this nice about someone interrupting her lunch/practice time.

Marina let out a small burst of unexpected laughter. "Honestly Oliver, you could be a great influence for me, I'm horrible about ever even remembering to eat lunch! Guess music is just too good of a distraction for me sometimes." She stood up then, and half walked, half strutted over to the soundproof room. She pulled up two of the comfier chairs closer to the entrance. "Here, grab a seat." she motioned to Oliver. "You been having a rough day?" She looked more serious now, that same old, slightly haunting weathered seaman look washing over her otherwise youthful face. She really did take after her father. She then reconsidered, "I know we just met and all that, so if you're not feeling up to explaining things to the random rocker-pirate-chick I won't be offended." She had a seat in one of the chairs, leaning back and swinging one ripped-denim covered leg up over the other.

Oliver grabbed his lunch again, and strolled to sit in the chair beside her. "Is it that obvious that I've had a bit of a day? I guess the fact that I'm covered in water might give it away?" he joked, his free hand running through his hair again. It was a bit of a nervous tick he always showed off after a full or partial shift. Luckily the water dripping down his neck and soaking through his clothes was enough to keep him from shifting, so the nervousness didn't make it any easier to scare him. "I had a rather interesting last class, but the most I can say about it is it ended with a cup of water dumped on my head," he added with an exaggerated wink. He pulled one of the plastic containers out of his lunch bag, dropping the bag on the floor beside his chair. "Do you need something to eat? I always end up with more than I need anyways."

Marina nodded sympathetically listening to the boy's story.
"Yeah, let's just say you seemed a little...disheveled. I'm glad it was just water though. People can really be jerks around here sometimes. I guess people haven't really bugged me around here since my freshman year, but then again now I think they're mainly just scared of me!"
The girl smirked, a playful twinkle in her eye. She seemed more at ease now that they'd started a conversation. She begun thinking back to her first week at the high school, when hordes of older students would crowd around her yielding water balloons and markers, ready for the attack. "By the end of the week, I guess you could say I was a walking Picasso piece. And those water balloons were filled with paint. My hair used to be down to here-" -she motioned towards her hip "- and I had to get it chopped off after the incident. Their loss, really. I like the short look anyhow." She ran a finger through her thick, now bouncy and short curls.
She turned her attention to Oliver's lunch box.
"If you don't mind sharing, I'd love to try some. Just give me whatever you like the least, I guess!" She chuckled.

Oliver winced as she recounted her story, feeling pretty bad that she'd had to deal with that. "My incident really was an accident, I'm so sorry you had such a terrible first week. Sometimes that side clashes around here end in some horrible things that shouldn't have happened. Carrying on this villain versus hero thing always seems to end up worse than if we were just normal high school students," Oliver said, reaching into his bag and pulling out more food. He opened the first container, which held six pinwheels, and moved three of them over to a napkin. They were pretty quickly joined by half his container of grilled veggies, and a chocolate chip cookie. "Here," he said, offering her the slightly over loaded napkin while trying not to drop his own food. "I've also got a bag of chips we can split if you're still hungry. The pinwheels are homemade, by my mom, and the veggies are the earliest crop from our farm this year. The cookies are my mother's handiwork too."

"The forest is always a good place to hide." he suggested "You've heard of people disappearing there right? That's because the forest has a magic of it's own. It's almost like a concealment of sorts." Rune quickly added "But don't worry about getting lost, I'm good at finding my way around the forest." to himself he added, it's where I spend most of my time after all. He had never been one to display who his father was so Rune had hoped Danny wouldn't ask why.

Rune got to his feet as well. They made it outside without much trouble, no teachers watching the doors. As soon as they got to a safe distance Rune yawned and stretched, it felt good to be outside.

Marina shrugged,
"Yeah, the first week was pretty brutal. Having a villain parent definitely isn't a walk in the park around here, but in all honesty Dad's pretty harmless now." She laughed at the thought, "He loves to still act all tough but he's really cleaned up his act since Mom passed."
She gratefully took the food from Oliver.
"This should be plenty for me, thank you. These cookies do look amazing, your mom's got quite a talent!" She bit into one, letting it melt in her mouth. "Mmm," she exclaimed, "They taste amazing too! It's been awhile since I've tasted home baked goods, pretty sure the only thing my dad knows how to make properly is macaroni and cheese!" She laughed aloud at that comment.

"Yeah, I've seen you around before. It didn't even occur to me to introduce myself." Rune shrugged, it wasn't really a problem to him "My name is Rune, by the way." he turned to face Danny and grinned, holding out a hand to shake his. His teeth were just a bit sharper than a normal human. Nothing... drastic, really. But enough so if you saw him in the forest in the middle of the night you might think it scary.

Oliver grinned at her praise of the food, starting in on his meal just after she did, though he started with the pinwheels. "Thanks, my mom's always worked pretty had to get our meals right. When we were younger, she'd always insist on cooking something new, and it would be a complete disaster, but she's a lot better now." Oliver stopped talking then, remembering that she'd mentioned her own mothers death. How could he be so insensitive, talking about her so much after Marina had just admitted her own mother had died. After a pretty long pause, he began again. "I'm sorry about your mother. It must be awful to lose a parent."

Just around the corner. He led Danny to one of the better known paths, the one that people came back out of. He sniffed the air, his back turned to Danny, couldn't let Danny think he was too weird. There were no strange scents on the wind and the forest was filled with the usual noise "We can hang out in here until school is over. As long as you know the way back out you can come back to the spot any time you want as well." magic always had a foothold.
