Q: Kate, I saw the Shatter Sky cover and I think I see Dovewing with another cat. Who is he/she and is it Dovewing new mate or apprentice?
A: I’ll tell you when I’ve read it!

I’m writing on 2, 4 and 6. Cherith is writing 1,3 and 5.

Q: Kate, a member on the official forum is saying that you said Leafpool would die in TAS, and that Needlepaw would be named Needlepool in her honor. I couldn’t find this statement. Is it true?

Fan: Kate, I’ve suspected for a while that Leafpool might die in ShadowClan while helping out Littecloud, and also because Thunderclan doesn’t really need three medicine cats.
Kate: Sadly, your suspicions have been correct….
A: It’s not true. I don’t do spoilers. I thought BlogClan knew that by now. Besides, “Sadly, your suspicions have been correct….” sounds SO NOT LIKE ME…I’d say something like, “Yeah, Fan. She totally croaks. She hijacks a lorry and drives it off a cliff to crush a twoleg sawmill that’s threatening the environment.”
Just for the record, I can’t remember what happens to Leafpool in TAS. My memory is THAT short.
Q: Kate, is there any possibility that Mousewhisker and Minnowtail were secretly a couple and went to the Dark Forest together? Mousewhisker was seen to have a crush on Minnowtail in The Sight.
A: Would you go to the Dark Forest for a crush?
Q: He had a crush on her as an apprentice, so maybe they became mates later on? Perhaps they decided that it was easier to meet in the DF than in the real world and ended up getting stuck there like all the other trainees.
A: Ooh, nice plot twist, but it would be too sad for me!
Q: I have no clue why I like asking this question, I just do. It’s the short-fur and long-fur question…
Kate, do Twigkit, Violetkit and Needlepaw have long-fur or short-fur?
A: Short fur. Always short fur unless otherwise stated
Q: By “always” do you really mean only the cats specifcally said to have long fur really have long fur?
All cats said to have thick fur, or where nothing is stated about the fur-length have short fur?

A: In my imagination, yes. Other Erins may differ. But thick fur is thick fur as far as I’m concerned. Long fur is long fur. Just as thick hair is thick hair and long hair is long hair.

Kate can you tell us what happened to Egg???? Egg was the biggest beauty in all of Skyclan lol. He cant be dead..
A: Which books did Egg appear in? Why do I not remember him? Egg! Awesome!

Q: Kate, in the original allegiances for The Apprentice’s Quest you put on your original blog there was a WC she-cat named Ferntail who was listed as Crowfeather’s apprentice. She was a gray tabby she-cat and stated to be Sedgewhisker and Emberfoot’s kit. In the finished allegiances Ferntail was gone and replaced with Fernpaw, who is a dark brown she-cat. She is Crowfeather’s apprentice as well. So, are Ferntail and Fernpaw the same cat, but just with different appearances?
It would make sense. After all, Jaywing was changed to Jayclaw and Stonetooth was changed to Stonewing.
A: She is the same cat; we just altered her name to reflect her apprentice status.

Crookedstar gets one of his lifes from a male apprentice called Lightningpaw. What do you think did he look like?
And when Crookedkit runs away because he broke his jaw he comes to live with a tom called “Fleck” that teaches him how to eat and hunt properly with his jaw. Fleck tells him that a tom named Domino, who was kin of him, also had a broken jaw.
How did Domino look like? And in wich way was he relatet to Fleck? I think Domino and Fleck were brothers and because of that Fleck knew all about how to handle a broken jaw because he helped his brother^^

I can’t remember! It was a long time since I wrote the book, but I’m guessing Domino was a black and white cat. Can you imagine descriptions for the others?

Hey Kate, I was wondering if we’ll ever get to see more of Mapleshade. I know she’s not really a main character or anything, but I really loved her backstory. I would love to see more of her! Also, since her kits are in StarClan (or at least, I hope so…) will they/did they ever reunite?
Oh, and who “judges” whether a cat goes into StarClan or the Dark Forest? Would it be a respected StarClan cat from their clan, or simply a random starclan cat?

Q: Kate, not a question about the book, but what are your thoughts on the official warrior cat forums closing?
A: HarperCollins has made the difficult decision to close the forums. It has been truly amazing to see all the love that message board users have shown for Warriors over the years.

What eye colour do Berrynose and Blossomfall have?
Berrynoses are most likely blue like his mothers or green like his brothers.
Blossomfalls parrents have blue and golden eyes.
I was just curious^^
A: I’ve checked my Allegiance sheet and there’s no eye colour given for any cat, which means it hasn’t been decided yet…
