Another short poem. This one is my favorite of all the poems I have written, especially the last verse. Please enjoy. ^^
Dedicated to;;
[/i]and my dear mentor, Leapspring .the WFF, .Terry Goodkind, .Andrzej Sapkowski, .Małgorzata Musierowicz, .Erin Hunter, .Mark Twain, .Terry Pratchett, .Caroline Lawrence, .Trenton Lee Stewart [Which assured me there's more good].Jane Austen, .And, with the best for last, Connie Willis [And the tale that made me laugh/While making tears stream down my face]
[/ul]Thank you, everyone EDIT;; Everyone, here's another repost, and probably my most beloved work when it comes to poetry. Especially now, that our little WFF has had its first great crisis, it means even more. I dedicate this to you, dear reader! haha [/sup]
Seeing the world laugh and play, Hearing a glad song say 'It's okay', I stand outside with no coat on, And wait eagerly for rain.
On the table lies the book, Which assured me there's more good, That I'll find comrades everywhere, if I'll only look. And the tale that made me laugh, While making tears stream down my face. I sit here now under stormy skies, Wrapped up in warmth's embrace.
I think that it will rain today, There's a warm glow in my chest. Of gratitude to all the souls, Who grant troubled hearts a rest. Whoever, whenever, they may be, The smiling friends who took their tools, Welcomed me as all can see, To their world of camaraderie and fools.
When I read the love they wrote, Their hearts they set to writing, Where defiant children monsters smote, I find myself deciding, I know them well, of that I'm sure, And I think they like me too, And now all that I can say right now, Is that I hope that it'll rain soon.
Who would you guys dedicate this poem too? ;D
