please do not blast me with a nuke for this opinion I have. please just read what i have to say if you want to hear my opinion.

Squirrelflight should have stayed barren.
NOW WAIT. Do not reply already after that one sentence!!
Why do I think this? Well, let's see...it would have made so much sense if Squirrelflight was naturally barren and no one lied, etc.
Squirrelflight being barren makes so much sense. She could have learned the lesson that you dont have to birth your own kits to be a good mother. let's face it, she IS the mother of jay, lion, and holly. She RAISED them and that's all that mattered. She raised them and loved them as her own and thats her motherhood right there. We could have had this entire lesson on motherhood and how giving birth isnt all it takes to be a "Mom."
BUT NO. The erins copped out and made her magically fertile and made yellowfang a big fat liar (which i hate btw. it doesnt matter if starclan yellowfang sucks, they still made her an evil liar). Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw didn't NEED their own biological kits to be a good couple or to be "better" parents. they already WERE good parents to the original three! What difference does it make that they have their own biological kits when they are already so old?
The only reason they did this was to make firestar clones because thats what EVERYONE thought when sparkpaw was announced to look "almost exactly like a little firestar." the only reason they copped out and went the stupid cliche route was to make new protagonists instead of focusing on someone else or another family in thunderclan or literally anybody else in the universe. It makes me so mad because I still hold bias for Leafpool. Leafpool won't ever be a mother. Squirrelflight raised leafpool's kits. SQuirrelflight becomes deputy. She has her mate back, she has her own kits when she wasnt even supposed to be able to have her own. LIKE COME ON. I know i said i was "okay" with alder and spark existing now, but it still, deep down, bothers me that they even exist. they could have made spark and alder ANYONE ELSE'S kits.
and also, i'll put this in too: bramble and squirrel shouldnt have gotten back together in the first place. we could have had this whole lesson on moving on with your life and growing stronger by being single and moving on, etc. they didnt NEED to get back together, they didn'T NEED to have their own kits. the entire thing is pointless to me and i will never get over it even if i say i am okay with alder and spark existing. because trust me, i like them, but why did they have to be bramble and squirrels kits? THEY DO NOT NEED THEIR OWN. and whats the point if two of the other kits she has dies anyways? it just proves to me that squirrel shouldnt have had kits in the first place if half of the litter dies anyways.
