SO I have a tradition of every now and then deciding to try to change my mind on WindClan. I hated them for a while, until another one of these discussions tipped me over to dislike, but as time's went on I'm feeling more bitter about them again and they're reaching hate again. I really don't want them too though, and so I thought I'd start this discussion to try to vent my feelings out about them/and maybe have some people help me tolerate WindClan better.
This currently sums up generally how I feel about WindClan:
I don't have a giant list on me, but overall, if I were to look at all the things I don't like about them and find 1 main key reason, it that they aren't very mentally strong at all (I'm not talking about mental illness, I'm talking about the ability to handle difficult situations). If a clan mocks them, they get extremely angry and raid them. They seriously can't take a blow with honor- if someone makes fun of them, they almost always retaliate with claws. And that's not appealing to me. I like forgiveness. I like mercy. I like gratefulness. Even though WindClan have showed some of those qualities sometimes, you rarely see them. The other main reason is I don't like their culture. They put their reputation before family, and will go as far as disown loved ones for the sake of looking good in the clan. As someone who will and always will put family first, no matter if they are terrible people, WindClan's culture and mine are like repelling magnets.
Also Onestar makes my blood boil- though I do blame WindClan somewhat for how he turned out.
SO, have at it! Chat with me, say good things about WindClan, whatever xD I might debate with you, but please don't take offense- I'm looking for people who are willing to combat my displeasure with solid answers and if you're successful, you'll have one less WindClan-hater here.
BUT I want canon! No assumptions (unless they are related to canon) and no "what ifs". If the Erins haven't said it, or the books don't have it, then I probably won't take it very seriously.
And one final thing: NO "well ThunderClan is worse". I'm so sick of that and I hope I won't have to hear that phrase ever again XDoops I just jinxed myself
