This is being written through the eyes of a young boy who was locked away from history, only to return and see his world in ruin.
Post replies were scattered everywhere. Dust clouds and fog entrapped his vision. There was no one in sight. The young boy had no idea who he was, for his mind lost of what occurred in his time away. All he knew was that on his shirt read the words "Community Rank #270." What did that mean? That meant there were at least 269 other people who have witnessed the destruction of their home. A tower- no, a bright blue post floated in the sky, casting a reminder to those that still remained. Who were these so called Mods?
"You see it too?" He whirled around, startled to not notice the appearance of another being. A girl, looking to be about 16 years old.
"Um. Yeah. The forums are shutting down?" He tried to get the words out without being awkward. The forums meant something to him, but his time away changed him outlook on the situation. Maybe the "cleansing" was needed in order to move forward.
"Most of the people who inhabited this place have become refugees in a place called the Warrior Cats RP Forums," she said. "It's not the same, but it can support everyone."
"How did all this happen?" asked the boy, casting his gaze over the ruins. Posts were shattered in half. Dens collapsed. Some people even lied still on the ground.
"When the Mods suggested new technology, there was no way we could adapt easily. We rioted, we rebelled against the Moderator Empire. Many lives were lost in the Great War, but they eventually scattered us. Those who stayed together retreated to the new forum. Others were left to wander aimlessly. I fortunately managed to escape the clutches of the Empire and made it to greener pastures, but I sometimes return to check up on the war zone."
The young boy didn't wish to linger any longer. He set his eyes on the girl and she knew straight away. They took off, aiming for the the safe haven in the distance.
(I made this all up just now, and I really like it. I hope all readers enjoy!)

Yes, we need more. Please keep writing this. We must defy the moderator empire.

Rain. The horizon was shielded by a thick cover of rain. "That cave! Over there!" They raced for shelter.
30 Minutes Later
The rain, though still intense, was beginning to show signs of dying down. "Come on," said the girl. "We're close." The boy stayed put, peering outside the corner of the cave at the ruins of the forums. His former home. Destroyed.
"How did it happen? I mean, all the destruction. I don't remember anything of it."
She sighed. The girl sat and laid her back on the cave wall. The boy laid on the cold floor beside her and laid his head on her lap.
"It was absolute chaos. I wasn't sure if the riots or the bomb caused more damage. No one wished to be executed by the Moderator Empire until the deadline. They believed that if they were to go out, they would go with a bang. Explosions everywhere. The shrapnel was movie scripts, song lyrics, and random cursing. The minds of children who lived there were tainted. I watched one by one as the Mods discreetly executed people from the comfort of their castle in the sky. Names disappeared from the roster. Creations were destroyed. And amongst the chaos, there were only a few known safe places. You're lucky to have survived."
He looked to the opposite wall of the cave. He was lucky to have survived, but it felt like a piece of him was left behind. His creations, his friends, his memories. Gone.
"What is the new place like?"
"Survivors have rebuilt this into what the forums once was. A happy place, where people gather to share ideas, hang out, and roleplay. Just like the old forums... What's your name? I'm Samantha."
"My name's Wren. Short for Wrenley."
"Well, Wren. It seems like the rain has disappeared. Let's go."

I went out in a bang
It was fun
I broke every rule there was
Except picture ones
I will never steal art
