Im not sure about this one.
Darknight, was made deputy after Foxfaces dissappearance. Darknight wanted to take a different approach to battles and how the camps are organised and such. Many cats believed that Darknight was right and that Aurorastar was causing way to many deaths by the way she approached certain events.
