Prologue:
Two strong cats threw themselves at each other. A brown tom with a collar that was studded with teeth had a black she-cat pinned down. "You will never win!" cried the black she-cat. "ShadowClan will be victorious, not you Twolegplace nuisances!" The brown tom rolled his green eyes. "Says the one who is pinned down." he replied. "BloodClan is stronger, bigger, and fiercer than ShadowClan." The she-cat howled in laughter. She threw her paw at the tom's neck. Faster than lightning hitting a tree, the she-cat ripped off the tom's collar, cutting a bit of his neck. Blood started to slowly drip from the tiny wound. The tom backed away, slowly panicking. "I am done. Now don't let your cats come on the border, or you are dead as crowfood." she growled. A brown tom raced towards the black she-cat. "Crowtail!" he yowled. The she-cat just gave him an indignant look. "Whitekit became an apprentice!" he yowled. "You always focus on that kit. You look at him more than his own father." Crowtail growled. "But you always blather about him being wicked, and since you think that you are the soul defender of the Clans you must defeat him or something like that." The tom opened his mouth to speak, but Crowtail continued to speak. "You don't need to look over that kit. He's not calamitous! He's just a kit! Oh StarClan forbid, a kit murdering millions!" she mewed sarcastically. "Hawkpad, get ahold of yourself! We have better notions worth talking about than a single kit." "That kit might murder us all! You don't understand!" Hawkpad howled. Crowtail breathed deeply, looking straight into Hawkpad's eyes. "I do understand what you are implying. But Whitepaw couldn't possibly maliciously murder, without getting killed himself or getting exiled." Hawkpad quivered, "But, but, but...," Crowtail turned her head. "Please, shut up. You're annoying. Now let's go." Crowtail stalked away, Hawkpad reluctantly following her.

Chapter 1:
"Now, crouch down," a cat mewed, watching his new apprentice, a black tom with white markings. The cat smiled in delight as the tom followed his instructions. "Yes, Whitepaw, that is correct. Well, if you were stalking real prey, as soon as you creep up on your catch, leap and give it a quick killing bite." Whitepaw sat up, smiling. "I'll catch all of the prey in the forest soon!" he mewed, fur bristling in the wind. "Toadclaw, If I do this, will Newtspeck finally cherish me?" he asked. Toadclaw mewed, bracing himself. "Whitepaw," "Yes?" Whitepaw replied, hope glimmering in his green eyes. "You're father is a big narcissist." Toadclaw mewed. "What does that mean?" Whitepaw asked. "It means he'll never respect anyone below him." Toadclaw muttered. Whitepaw sighed, a single tear in his eyes. "I hate my father!" he screamed. Toadclaw backed away a bit. "He doesn't seem like a Clan cat at all!" Whitepaw screeched. He stomped away, not wanting to talk to anyone. Toadclaw followed him slowly. Whitepaw sat in front of the apprentices' den, the sun setting. He backed into his nest, slowly drifting into the dark confinements of solitude and sleep. Soon he woke up again, now in a shadowy forest. "Where am I?" he asked, his mew echoing through the darkened forest. "Hello," a cat growled. Whitepaw turned, seeing a white tom with crazed hazel eyes. He screeched for a second. "Who are you?" the tom asked. "Whitepaw." Whitepaw replied. "I'm Snowfrost. Welcome to StarClan!" the tom mewed. "Am I dead?" Whitepaw asked. "No. You have more potential than dying! I am here to show you some battle moves!" The night went on, Whitepaw and Snowfrost howling with laughter. "Use the move," Snowfrost mewed to Whitepaw. The move that he was talking about was the killing blow. Whitepaw learned it from Snowfrost that night. Whitepaw flashed out his claws. "No. Not on me. Use the move on your mother. Show it to her. She'll be happy." Snowfrost mewed softly. "With unsheated claws?" Whitepaw asked. "Yes. I am happy that you are learning. You must do this, so you can become leader." Snowfrost replied. "But I don't want power." Whitepaw gasped. "You will, one day. Just do it. You'll thank me later."

Chapter 2:
"Whitepaw! Whitepaw wake up!" Toadclaw hissed, pawing at the black and white tom's fur. Whitepaw woke up, a bit dazed. "I'm not dead yet!" he hissed in a distasteful tone, which startled his mentor. "I believe that we should train your fighting skill," he muttered, ignoring Whitepaw. As Whitepaw walked out of the camp, he locked gazes with his mother, Berryfrost. Not yet, he thought. Toadclaw sat down at the entrance of camp. "Hey, Howlwhisper, want to come with us?" the brown and cream tom asked. "Sure," the other tom growled, a bit suspicious. Toadclaw walked towards the training grounds, while Whitepaw and Howlwhisper followed slowly behind. Howlwhisper jerked his head towards Whitepaw, his blue eyes darkened. "I know what you are up to, kit. Once I tell the leader, my victory will be sweet." Whitepaw scoffed, not knowing or caring about what the older cat was telling him. "What in the name of StarClan are you talking about?" Whitepaw growled, his green eyes narrowed. "You are training too early, in the Dark Forest no less," Howlwhisper responded, no fear in his mew. "Who cares! I'll be able to help my Clan earlier. Plus you are wrong. It's called StarClan, you idiotic frog-brain!" Whitepaw retorted. He knows. But how? Whitepaw stared at the older tom, and a smile forming across his white muzzle. The two cats were already far behind, but not that close to camp. Whitepaw started to laugh silently. "You don't know anything, mousebrain," Whitepaw snarled. "You are the one who is-" Howlwhisper was cut off by Whitepaw lunging at him. Whitepaw scratched Howlwhisper's neck, pinning his opponent down. Whitepaw went for one of Howlwhisper's eyes. The blue color of Howlwhisper's right eye was starting to be covered by the crimson color of blood. Sickly screams came from Howlwhisper's mouth as the tom realized that he was blinded in one eye. "Stop! I won't tell the leader, or anyone!" Howlwhisper begged. "So you won't..." Whitepaw growled. The apprentice started to rip at the flesh around Howlwhisper's missing eye. "Yes! I'll do anything! Just stop!" "Anything?" Whitepaw repeated, grinning. "Yes!" "Along with not telling anyone, say that you were blinded by a fox. I don't really wish for anything more, but just don't tell, or you are as good as dead the next time I meet eyes with you." "Okay," he mewed, smiling. Whitepaw turned away. Idiotic fools. he thought. They'll follow me no matter what I say, He grinned, imagining cats following him. A voice rang in his ears. The voice of Snowfrost. You will, one day. You'll thank me later.

Chapter 3:
Whitepaw yawned, waking up. His claws curled out as he got up. A new apprentice, Flamepaw, raced up to him. "Hello!" he mewed. Whitepaw ignored him. A couple moons passed since Howlwhisper confronted him. Whitepaw decided that he waited long enough. "What are you doing?" Flamepaw asked. "It's not even time for the dawn patrol yet." Whitepaw jerked his head back to Flamepaw. "Do not question me, idiotic fool!" Whitepaw warned. "I am just going to see my mother." he responded dryly. "Can I come?" Flamepaw mewed, bumping into the black and white tom. Flamepaw's green eyes lit up in hope. "No, of course not." Whitepaw hissed.
Whitepaw walked up to Berryfrost, his mother. "May I show you something?" he asked. "Sure." she purred. Whitepaw unsheathed his claws, but Berryfrost didn't notice it. His eyes turned darker. "I was shown this new fighting move." he mewed in a monotone voice. "Okay." Berryfrost mewed slowly. Whitepaw looked around. No one. Good. He then turned to Berryfrost. He lunged, pinning Berryfrost down. She screeched before Whitepaw even clawed her. "Shut up!" he growled, ripping the flesh from her neck. His mother screamed again, blood gurgling from her mouth. He ripped at her flesh more with his claws. Whitepaw snapped back into reality, looking at his mother's corpse. His eyes lightened. He heard cats emerging from the dens. Whitepaw decided to run for it, racing out of the camp into ShadowClan's dense forest.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Newtspeck stared in horror at his mate's dead body. He then stared at the crowd of cats. "How do you, explain this?!" he growled, claws unsheathed. Stonestar padded to Newtspeck. "Don't worry," he sighed and as he was about to say something else, he got interrupted by the distressed ShadowClan warrior. "Don't worry! I can't believe you would say that! I would be worried because she is my mate, and there might be an insane murderer prowling around who might kill more of us!" Hawkpad's eyes lightened and looked at Crowtail, his eyes proud. "I knew it!" the elderly medicine cat crowed. "It was Whitepaw! He is the insane murderer! You are so wrong, idiotic deputy!" Newtspeck growled, narrowing his eyes. This is such a wrong behavior for a medicine cat to show. Distressed, Newtspeck sniffed at Berryfrost's corpse. "A ShadowClan cat killed her!" he announced. "She might have cut herself." Firetail scoffed. "It looks like it," a cat piped in. Newtspeck ignored the cats, running into the forest, chasing after the scent.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Whitepaw ran, he heard the voices. He rolled his eyes when Firetail said that she cut herself. Carelessly he ran into a tree. Whitepaw got up, swiveled around and saw his father, towering over him. "Oh hello Newtspeck." he mewed. "I am tired of your fun and games. You murdered your own mother. I can't believe how disrespectful my son is." Newtspeck growled. "I can't deal with this. I am leaving." his father hissed. "Weakling!" Whitepaw scowled. "You have never liked me! Now you abandon me in a Clan full of imbeciles!" Newtspeck padded off and growled, "It suits you."

Chapter 4:
Whitepaw watched Newtspeck pad away. He sat down and stared at him. "You know what? I don't care about you, or anyone! You can rot in the Dark Forest for all I care!" Whitepaw growled, walking to ShadowClan camp. "I said it for the thousandth time, she just cut herself!" Stonestar hissed at the crowd as Whitepaw trudged in. "We're not blaming anyone!" the old leader growled. "Well you are blind to the world around you," Hawkpad refuted. "It was Whitepaw! He's tricking everyone." Whitepaw looked at the elderly medicine cat, his mouth quivering. He had found his next victim. Birchpaw was examining the limp body. "Aren't you going to morn your mother?" Stonestar asked. "He wouldn't mourn the one he murdered!" Hawkpad snapped. "Silence!" Stonestar snarled. "Whitepaw has enough stress on him already!" Hawkpad rolled his eyes. Whitepaw was sure that he knew what cat he'd kill next. He almost laughed thinking about Hawkpad's death. They sat around Berryfrost's corpse in complete silence.
It was night. Dark. Silent. Cold. Whitepaw watched as Hawkpad walked out of the camp. Whitepaw stalked after him, making sure not to make a sound. The medicine cat trudged along. Whitepaw realized that Hawkpad was going to the Moonpool. But for what? Whitepaw wondered. He pushed the thoughts aside not caring at all. Soon, the two toms reached the Moonpool. Whitepaw unsheathed his claws, hiding near the walls of the cave. Hawkpad licked at the pool. That's when Whitepaw lunged. Whitepaw pinned down Hawkpad's head, so it was stuck underwater. The medicine cat struggled to breath. He thrashed around, but Whitepaw wouldn't loosen his grip. Hawkpad screamed in pure agony. Whitepaw started to claw the back of Hawkpad's head while he was pinned down. He saw Hawkpad's eyes close, ever so slightly. To make sure that the limp medicine cat was indeed dead, Whitepaw threw what remained of his body in the Moonpool. Some of the water splashed on him. He backed away, victorious. Whitepaw walked back to ShadowClan camp, and snuggled in his nest. The dream world soon came into view for him. The first thing he heard was screeching. He sat down, smiling, and mainly unfazed. He saw a cat who resembled Stonestar. His paws were holding on to the ground. Whitepaw noticed that half of his body was in acid. "I thought you'd help me." the old cat croaked. Stonestar then let go of the ground, falling in. The cat screeched and then there was an eerie silence. "You think this would scare me?! If you, you are wrong!" Whitepaw snarled at the bleak sky. He then saw Snowfrost sit in front of him. He was back where they trained. "I think that you should come to know this. This is the Dark Forest. Everyone will call you insane. Don't listen to them. You will soon have them beg to you." Snowfrost mewed. "I don't care. I just want to become leader." Whitepaw mewed. "Well then. That will come to be true."

Chapter 5:
Whitepaw woke up to screeching. "Where's Hawkpad?!" Birchpaw yowled, running around the camp. "Silence, fool!" Whitepaw growled, annoyed. Crowtail sat in the clearing. "I think he was at the Moonpool last night. Maybe you can check there. The old geezer probably fell asleep." Birchpaw nodded, heeding what Crowtail had said. Birchpaw ran out of the camp, to go to the Moonpool. Whitepaw walked into the clearing. "Whitepaw." she mewed. "You have to go with Birchpaw." Whitepaw sighed, walking after the medicine cat apprentice. Birchpaw looked back at Whitepaw, scowling. "Why do you have to follow me?" the medicine cat growled.
"I was forced to." Whitepaw hissed.
Birchpaw gave a small chuckle. His face then turned solemn. "Do you know what happened to Hawkpad?" Birchpaw asked. "I have no idea." Whitepaw lied. Birchpaw stopped talking when they reached the Moonpool. "Go look." Whitepaw mewed. Birchpaw walked in, light on his paws. Whitepaw sat down, grinning. Whitepaw then heard Birchpaw scream. He walked in, already knowing that he'd found the corpse. "He's...He's DEAD!" Birchpaw screamed. "No, he just isn't breathing." Whitepaw growled sarcastically. "Shut up!" Birchpaw snapped. "Fine." Whitepaw scowled. "Go away." Birchpaw growled. "Aren't you scared that the murderer will get you?" Whitepaw asked, a smug look on his face. "You know what? I am NOT scared. Because I know YOU are the murderer." Birchpaw snarled. "Where did you learn that?" Whitepaw scoffed. "From your dead mentor?"
"I just assumed it," he growled. "Hah, your brain is as small as a shriveled up mouse!" Whitepaw laughed. "And I am not a murderer." he added quickly. "Leave!" Birchpaw growled. Whitepaw walked away. Whitepaw walked to ShadowClan camp, not caring that he was going too slow. He stood on top of the hill that looked down on all of the Clans, except for BloodClan, which was closer to the Moonpool and Twolegplace. He spotted a squirrel, which was cleaning itself. Whitepaw crouched down. Stalking closer and closer, he took a final leap. The squirrel darted away, and Whitepaw chased it. He caught it on the RiverClan border. He smelled cats coming towards him. He looked. There was one big tom who was a bluish-gray and a gray tortoiseshell she-cat, who was smaller. "Why are you here?" the big tom growled. "I was catching prey, of course." he lashed back. "Who are you, RiverClan scum?" Whitepaw lashed back. "I am Waterstar," he pointed to the small she-cat, "this is my apprentice, Rainpaw."

Chapter 6:
"Well that's great, nice to meet you, now goodbye!" Whitepaw mewed backing away. Waterstar laughed loudly. "You think we'll let you off of our territory that easily, with our PREY?! You really are an idiot." Waterstar growled. "You don't even EAT squirrels!" Whitepaw growled, unsheathing his claws. Waterstar growled looking down at Whitepaw, who in turn clawed his face. Blood drippled down his face. Waterstar snarled, leaping at Whitepaw. Whitepaw backed away, growling. Birchpaw ran down the hill stopping in front of the two toms. "Stop it!" he hissed to both of them. "Whitepaw, let's go."
As they were walking, Birchpaw looked at Whitepaw. "I got my full medicine cat name, Birchwing." the medicine cat mewed. Whitepaw ignored him. "Where did you put the corpse?" the apprentice asked. "I buried Hawkpad in the daisy field near the Moonpool. It was his favorite place to go before talking to StarClan." Birchwing replied, slowly. Whitepaw walked into the entrance of ShadowClan camp, still carrying the squirrel. He placed it on the fresh kill pile. Cats ran up to Birchwing. "What happened? Where's Hawkpad?" Birchwing looked at them. "Hawkpad is dead. I buried him near the Moonpool. I also got my medicine cat name, Birchwing." he responded. Crowtail had no emotion showing on her face.
"Everyone gather around the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!" Stonestar yowled. All of the ShadowClan cats gathered. The old leader beckoned Whitepaw towards him. Whitepaw sat down underneath the Tallrock. "I, Stonestar, leader of ShadowClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn." he began. "Whitepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" the leader asked. "I do." Whitepaw mewed, grinning. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Whitepaw, from this moment you will be known as Whitefoot. StarClan honors your fighting skill, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ShadowClan." Stonestar mewed. "Whitefoot! Whitefoot! Whitefoot!" the cats yowled, except for Birchwing, who was just glaring at the newly made warrior.
All of the cats walked to their dens. Birchwing walked up to Whitefoot. "You think I will respect you after you killed Hawkpad?" the medicine cat snarled. Whitefoot didn't respond for a second and looked back at him with narrowed green eyes. "You should shut up if you know what's best for you!" the warrior growled silently. Birchwing backed away to go to his nest. Whitefoot turned his head so he could focus on guarding the camp. Whitefoot noticed that the sky was darkening. Rain started to dribble down from the sky. Whitefoot snarled, unsheathing his claws. The tom started to curse under his breath.
Whitefoot started to grow tired and saw Crowtail emerging from the Warriors' Den. "You can stop now." she mewed. Whitefot walked away and slumped down in a nest in the Warriors' Den, falling asleep.

Chapter 7:
"All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather around the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!" Stonestar yowled. Whitefoot woke up lazily, walking to the Tallrock. "Tonight is the Gathering! I will pick the cats to come with me. Whitefoot, Crowtail, Birchwing, Flamepaw, and Lightheart will come. The rest of you will guard the camp. Now, come!" the leader yowled. Whitefoot, Crowtail, Birchwing, Lightheart, and Flamepaw followed Stonestar out of the camp.
They reached the gathering island. Waterstar and Emberstar were in their places, chatting. Lightheart walked over to talk with Dimlight and Clearsong. Crowtail conversed with Creekslip and Blossomtree. Whitefoot walked over to two Daylight Warriors, a gray tom with black front legs and a tawny tom with a black splotch on his forehead. "Swissleap, please shut up! You're being annoying!" the gray tom piped up. The tawny tom- Swissleap, narrowed his almond shaped eyes and hissed, "You got it all wrong, you are the annoying one!" Whitefoot stepped back a foxlength. "Oh, hello." the gray tom growled, looking at Whitefoot. "Nice to meet you." the tawny tom mewed. "Oh look, WindClan's coming." the gray tom mewed. Whitefoot looked at the WindClan cats and then turned back to the two Daylight Warriors.
"Who are you?" the gray tom asked. "I am Whitefoot of ShadowClan." Whitefoot mewed. "And who are you guys?" the black and white tom asked. "This is Swissleap," the gray tom mewed. Swissleap narrowed his eyes and shot back, "and this is Zimtail." Whitefoot rolled his eyes at the weird names. "We are proud warriors of SkyClan." Swissleap mewed. Whitefoot cackled. "Proud warriors! Hah! You go back to your Twolegs at night! That's not an example of a proud warrior!" he spat. "I can claw your throat out, you know that." the gray tom hissed. "Silence!" the leaders hissed in unison. "Well I guess ThunderClan came then." Whitefoot mused, walking towards the ShadowClan group.
"Can WindClan go first?" Talonstar asked. "Surely." Stonestar mewed. Lightningstar, Waterstar, and Emberstar nodded. "Newtspeck, a ShadowClan warrior became a WindClan warrior." Whitefoot gasped. "Oh, that's where he went." Birchwing mewed, no empathy in his mew. The ShadowClan cats muttered to each other. Stonestar looked down at Newtspeck, a cold gaze in his usually friendly green eyes. "Newtspeck, do you want to stay with WindClan, betraying your former Clan?" he asked. "I have already made my decision. I am staying with WindClan." Newtspeck hissed. Stonestar lowered his head and nodded.
"Anything else?" Stonestar asked. "Nothing else." Talonstar mewed. "Do you want to go next, Stonestar?" Stonestar nodded, not saying anything. "ShadowClan has been doing well. Whitepaw became a warrior. His new name is Whitefoot." Stonestar finally mewed. "Whitefoot! Whitefoot! Whitefoot!" the cats crowed. Whitefoot grinned cruelly. "I will go next," Waterstar abruptly mewed. The leaders nodded. "RiverClan is doing good, but I'd like to complain that I spotted a ShadowClan warrior catching prey on our territory." Waterstar growled, staring right at Whitefoot. "We wouldn't!" Stonestar yowled. "My mentor is telling the truth," a gray calico she-cat- Rainpaw mewed. "It was Whitefoot." she mewed. "That's outrageous! I didn't!" Whitefoot hissed. "I do think that your claim is ridiculous, Waterstar," a brown and gray apprentice mewed. "RiverClan only eats fish. You shouldn't be worried if a cat stole a squirrel or a mouse."
"Leafpaw, shut up!" hissed a brown calico she-cat. "No Clan, even RiverClan, wants cats stealing prey that is rightfully theirs."
"You shut up, Timberpaw!" Leafpaw growled.
"Stop fighting!" cried Amberdawn and Cherrygrove consecutively. Newtspeck muttered something to Amberdawn and licked her shoulder. "This isn't WindClan's problem to worry about! You awful rabbitbrains shouldn't be butting into ShadowClan and RiverClan's problems!" Whitefoot growled in rage. "So that's your son, right? He's a mess." Amberdawn muttered to Newtspeck. Newtspeck nodded. Whitefoot leaped at Amberdawn, claws unsheathed. Whitefoot took the she-cat by surprise, pinning her down. "Get off of my mate!" Newtspeck screeched. "Your mate! I can't believe you'd say that to my face, father! Your mate is Berryfrost! You just ran away once you saw her corpse!" Whitefoot yowled. "One day, I will kill you. You deserve to rot in the Dark Forest." Newtspeck growled, saying no more. Whitefoot walked back to the ShadowClan section of the Gathering.
"SkyClan will go next." Emberstar muttered awkwardly. None of the leaders complained. "Swisspaw and Zimpaw became warriors. Swissleap and Zimtail." Emberstar mewed. The cats cheered the names. Whitefoot didn't say anything, still enraged at his father and Amberdawn. "That's it," Emberstar mewed. "ThunderClan will go last." Lightningstar declared. "Alder, a kittypet became a ThunderClan apprentice, named Alderpaw!" the black and gray leader yowled. The cats were silent. "A kittypet can't be a true warrior!" Leafpaw yowled.
"Oh yesssss we can," a feminine voice among the shadows hissed.

Chapter 8:
"Who's that?" Alderpaw asked, a bit of fear in his mew. Whitefoot unsheathed his claws almost instantly, preparing for an ambush. A reddish orange she-cat with striking green eyes stepped out of the shadows, along with an apprentice sized jet black tom and a brown tom with abnormally long front claws. She had a green collar on her neck, which was spiked with dog teeth. "BloodClan." Crowtail snarled, narrowing her green eyes. "Sapphire, what do you want?" Crowtail hissed, challenge showing in her emerald green eyes. "I want what I have always wanted, Crowtail." the she-cat hissed. "I want BloodClan to be noticed at Gatherings."
"That's a stupid reason to attack," Zimtail muttered.
The brown BloodClan cat leaped at the gray Daylight Warrior, who in turn slashed his ear. "Go! Kill him father!" the black tom yowled. "Coal, shush. We need to let Talon concentrate." Sapphire muttered, silencing the black tom. The gray tom slashed Talon's paws. Whitefoot watched, unimpressed. Swissleap looked at his arch-nemesis, not saying anything. "Stop it!" Emberstar yowled. Talon shredded the Daylight Warrior's neck. The gray tom let out a horrible howl. Talon then threw the tom towards the Gathering Branch. The cats, mainly the SkyClan cats were shocked. "We don't let BloodClan be noticed at the Gathering because you're savages!" Crowtail yowled. "Savages? I don't think so." Sapphire purred roughly. Whitefoot snarled at the BloodClan leader, fuming with rage. "Illiterate imbecile! You are a disgrace! While I don't care about what your 'warrior' did to that SkyClan pest, I believe that you are insane!" Whitefoot hissed. "Insane? Nonsense. You just hate me because you believe that you should be the only murderer in the forest."
It's true. Whitefoot thought. The ShadowClan warrior looked around at all of the cats. I'm not giving myself away that easily. He growled in his mind. "You tell lies! I am not a murderer!" Whitefoot hissed. "Are you sure? Birchwing told me you murdered a medicine cat." Sapphire mewed. Whitefoot stared at Birchwing in pure disgust and hatred. "I didn't!" Whitefoot snarled. "Yeah, sure." Birchwing muttered. "How could you help BloodClan!?" Crowtail snarled to Birchwing, not caring much about Whitefoot and him being accused of murder. "It was for the greater good. Plus, BloodClan could help us." Birchwing mewed. Whitefoot cackled in laughter. Sapphire flattened her ears, hissing in annoyance.
"We should go," Stonestar finally mewed. "The clouds are covering the moon." The gray leader explained weakly. "The ShadowClan leader seems weak. Soon, Crowtail might become leader." Amberdawn muttered to Newtspeck. The ShadowClan cats left, followed soon by RiverClan and SkyClan. WindClan and ThunderClan went to their territories. The ShadowClan cats were walking through the pine forest to get to their camp. Soon the patrol stopped abruptly. Whitefoot saw Stonestar fall down to the ground. He started to have little spasms until he was still.
"Stonestar!" Crowtail yowled in shock. Birchwing walked over to his corpse slowly, and placing his paw on Stonestar's gray forehead. "He lost a life." the medicine cat reported. "Is it his last one?" Crowtail asked warily. "No. He has one more life left, from what Hawkpad told me when he was still alive." Birchwing answered, remembering his mentor, which Whitefoot brutally slaughtered. Whitefoot looked at Stonestar. If he has one more life left, I have to kill Crowtail and he'll possibly choose me. Whitefoot thought. Stonestar soon rose up weakly. He leaned up against Crowtail's shoulder. The ShadowClan cats continued on. They reached the camp. "You should sleep." Birchwing suggested to Stonestar. Stonestar nodded and warily walked to his den. Whitefoot padded to the Warriors' Den, followed by Crowtail. Whitefoot quickly fell asleep on his mossy nest.
"Whitefoot," a cat hissed. Whitefoot looked straight, noticing that he was in the Dark Forest. "Snowfrost, is that you?" he asked. "Yes." the white tom mewed. "Why do you want me?" Whitefoot asked. "I wanted to tell you that you are doing well. You'll be a leader soon." Snowfrost purred. "Thank you." Whitefoot mewed. "Thanks for what? You have done all of this yourself." the snowy white warrior mewed. "Thanks for training me." Whitefoot mewed. "I would've been a blind slave if it weren't for you." Snowfrost smiled and Whitefoot then faded away, seeing the green of his moss nest.
