The social season is upon us...
The time has come for dazzling ball gowns, eligible bachelors, and a cattiness unmatched during any other time of the year. Welcome to the Social Season.
From early May to late August the elite of Arendale move into the grand palace or return to their townhouses in the capital to attend the hottest social events of the year. Only the richest of the rich, the best of the best, the most elite families in the kingdom are invited to join in the festivities. Although not officially, the season is known by many as the yearly "marriage market," in which the daughters of the high society make their debut or "presentation at court." The claws are bound to come out.
Can you survive the Season?

The role play takes place in the kingdom of Arendale, the second largest in the land. It lays on the Western shore, bordered to the north-east by Hadlington, to the south by Greyconia, and to the east by Layolin. Each kingdom is ruled by its own monarchy, but the role play will focus primarily on the Arendalian kingdom. As one might have guessed, it is the beginning of the Social Season in which the high society folk come together to celebrate the coming of age of their daughters, arrange marriages, and simply have a grand ol' time. The kickoff to the Social Season is the Grand Ball, hosted in the palace by the royal family.
Characters in the role play are most likely the aristocracy--dukes and duchesses, lords and ladies, marquesses, earls, viscounts, and barons. Servants and palace workers or guards and knights are permitted as well, but realize that the primary focus is the going ons of the elite of the society. We will begin our tale the day of the Grand Ball, when everyone is arriving and preparing for the kickoff to the Season.
Let the festivities begin...
Every move you make...
All normal rules apply. In addition, however, I ask that you keep it realistic to the role play. While I understand that this is by no means realistic in that these are made-up lands, I ask that you keep in mind the essence of the role play, which is high society, monarchy type stuff. That being said, no one is perfect, especially not the aristocracy; this group is full of drama. Now a word on characters. Again, no perfect characters; no one likes to role play with them anyway. While I do not mind too many servants and palace worker types, I ask that you be mindful of how focused you are on these characters. Certainly, add a bit of drama with them every now and again, but realistically, not all of the debutantes will be falling head over heels for the stable boy. That said, have fun and be creative!
