"She had it all. Beauty, power, and skill. That white furred cat who was known for her charm. She had it all." A dark grey and black tabby murmured to himself while he stared at the blanket of snow covering the icy ground. "Yet she was foolish"
Chapter one -
"Hurry up will you Spottedback? I have work to do!" A white she-cat padded quickly through the snow as a smaller black and grey tom followed.
"I'm going, I'm going! Good Starclan, instead of Icyfern you should have been called Icyheart. You know I'm doing you a favor right? You could at least say thank you." Spottedback said in good spirit.
"I know. I just need to get the herbs to Ruffledfur quickly. He said he needed it as soon as possible!" Icyfern told him, not even bothering to look back.
"I know but I think you're over doing it. You didn't have to wake me up before dawn just to get catmint. The birds aren't even awake!" Icyfern sighed at his comment and stopped.
"Sorry. I just want to help Ruffledfur. That's all. Now that it's winter, more and more cats are getting sick. And with Tinypaw sick, he doesn't have an apprentice to help him." The white and grey speckled cat started walking again. "That's all."
"Well, this took a dark turn really quick." Spottedback mumbled.
"Life's not all fun and games. You'll learn that."
