Hey "Absence of Rain" fans, remember that bonus content I promised ages ago? Well, guess what: I'm finally getting around to it. Presenting "Not in Vain," a short comic that takes place between chapters 8 and 9 of "The Absence of Rain." The story follows Gullpaw in the aftermath of Slatewave's death, as he struggles with the repercussions of speaking and makes a new friend in the process. This was originally a scene intended to make it into the fic, but in the long run it got cut. Now it's making a spectacular return, and in comic format, no less! Because it's a comic, it'll be posted in the Art Forum, but links will be featured here for easy access.
Since I'll be on vacation in early June, I can't say for sure when it'll be posted, but know that it's coming, and it'll be great. I promise.
For now, it's a good time to reread the fic, or read it for the first time if you're new. If this works well, there might even be other "AoR" comics in the future... so stay tuned!
