Roseshine should tell Honeypaw that there is a chance that they'll have to fight someone one day. That's what the battle training is for after all, to better prepare Honeypaw for when he will have to fight somebody, even if he's not good at it.

Thanks a bunch!! It's a lot of people to keep track of so it takes significantly longer than it did when I first started, but I'm managing so far!

The new moon having started, Hopperstripe and Dodgepaw both seem eager to prove their place in BrookClan. When Paleblossom suggests she and Dodgepaw go out on a border patrol, Hopperstripe is quick to suggest he tag along- only partly to support his daughter.

"This should be fairly routine," Paleblossom explains as they make their way along the brook side of the border, planning to circle around he other side. "Apart from you two, nothing too unusual has gone on around here since we set up, which is good."

"Glad to hear it," Hopperstripe agrees, pausing as Paleblossome introduces them to different parts of the territory visible from here.

"This is usually the best place to find fish," she explains, pointing with her nose to the dark little shapes swimming through the water. Hopperstripe watches intently, but Dodgepaw's attention seems to be placed elsewhere.

Both seeming to notice the oddity, Paleblossom and Hopperstripe glance over to Dodgepaw.

"What's the matter, sweetie?" her father gently probes, as Dodgepaw takes a couple of steps further upstream.

"There's a cat coming down the stream," she explains, tilting her head to the side. "It looks like they're in trouble."

Dodgepaw's perception revealed: +2

Paleblossom is confused for just a moment, before looking out and realizing she's right- Just barely visible from upstream, between BrookClan and CloveClan river boundaries, is a cat flailing and kicking and being dragged downstream through the water.

If they can't get out soon, they'll be swept past BrookClan's borders, likely down toward the twolegplace.

Waspmouth and Rosestar head out to hunt, splitting up in order to cover more ground. They don't have much luck, and finally Rosestar decides they've been at it enough.

"Alright, we should-" She starts, only to have Waspmouth startle and whip around to face her, slashing with his claws. He only barely nicks her, causing a small slash at the side of her neck, but no blood.

Immediately, Waspmouth is horrified,  hopping back a few good paces and looking concerned. "Oh, great StarClan, Rosestar! I'm so sorry, you startled me!"

This is probably the first time Rosestar has ever noted Waspmouth as visibly distressed, usually very calm and level-headed. Should she say or do anything in response to this?

"We're not going to do anything to you," Flickerstar assures, but her cool tone only seems to make the cat more wary, scooting further into the hollowed tree.

Flickerstar's charisma revealed: -2

"I'm going to find Nettlemist," Shiningblaze gives as a parting statement, before darting off through the dense pine forest back toward camp.

It's not long before the two cats return, and Nettlemist carries a stick wrapped with cobwebs. She hands it over to Shiningblaze in order to speak to Flickerstar, ducking down to try to examine the cat in the hollowed tree.

"Who are they? What's going on here?" She wonders, though the cat does not respond even as she scoots inside, sniffing at their wound.

"Oh- this isn't bleeding," Nettlemist calls. "If I'm going to help, I'll need to clean it out, though. It might open up the wound again. Do we want to bring this cat back to camp while I try to treat them?"

She turns, looking to Flickerstar for an answer. The cat's wound may get infected and need later treatment, but it's also entirely possible to have Nettlemist do what she can for now and then send them on their way.

Bring the cat back to camp.

Will get to the reply, as usual, once I've done all the people who've posted before you. But I'll answer the question now:

It really depends on how often I can get on. I usually try to give people enough time to use most of their actions, so if I'm slow in replying (and of course with the influx of new people) then the moon ends up stretching longer too. This in particular has been a slow moon.

The Half Moon gathering post will warn that a new moon is coming soon, and you should be tagged in it when it comes up!
