D E S T I N Y--
**Prior knowledge of the game is not required**
intro--It's been two years ever since your ghost resurrected you in the Cosmodrome of Old Russia and returned you into the safe hands of the Vanguard in the Last City on Earth. Since then, you have destroyed the Vex's Black Heart in Mar's Black Garden, defeated Atheon in the Vault of Glass, defeated Crota, Son of Oryx in the depths of the Moon, conquered the trials of the Prison of Elders, and defeated Oryx, the Taken King. Now, the Vanguard has a new task for you. Lord Saladin, the overseer of the Iron Banner Crucible event has gone missing. Reports say that his last known position was somewhere in the Cosmodrome just before the breach in The Wall, headed in the direction of Felwinter's Peak, the location of the Shrine of the Iron Lords. The Vanguard is issuing a team of six guardians to search for Lord Saladin and assist him in whatever he's up to. From the feats that you and your raid team have accomplished over the last two years, it's safe to say that you're near the top of the roster.  about destiny--Welcome to my Destiny roleplay! I thought about making this when I realized that the new Rise of Iron expansion (Yes, I know it's in one month) will not be available to last-gen consoles. Since I do not have the money for a PS4 or Xbox One, I decided to make my own roleplay to have my own take on the universe. If you've heard of Destiny or even play it, you'll know what I'm talking about. If you have no idea why you clicked on this thread when you don't know what Destiny is, do not worry, I can explain it. Destiny is a RPG shooter developed by Bungie that features three classes and three species to play as. It has a story mode in which it is a lot more fleshed out in the lore. With this roleplay, we can dictate our own story starting from the end of The Taken King all the way to the beginning of Rise of Iron (Yes, I know you can just watch videos on it). If you don't know anything about Destiny and want to learn more, do some research or just ask me or anyone else with knowledge of the game.

rules--Follow forum and ghost rules. Keep everything PG. No power-playing or god-modding. There's no need to be realistic, it's outer space!
Try your best to use proper spelling and grammar! When OOC, use brackets such as ( ) [ ] { } If you will be gone for a while, please let me know. Be literate; I don't expect an entire novel, but no one-liners. Quality over quantity! Ask permission for major events to happen, such as death.

Characters should not be Mary-Sues Be active; your characters will be deleted after one week of inactivity Humans age to 300, Awoken to 500, and Exos do not age Characters are restricted to subclasses (Defender, Gunslinger, Stormcaller, etc.) Titans have an armor:cloth ratio of 80:20. Hunters are 50:50. Warlocks are 20:80 Exotic armor and weapons are not allowed unless Year 1

titans--Spartan-12 / Male / N/A / Exo / Striker
Physical appearance: Spartan-12 has an entirely navy blue body along with light grey accent lines, dim blue eyes, and a light grey horn protruding from his forehead.
Armor/clothing: Murvaux Type 0 armor set + Ruin Wings; Antique Land shader
Personality: Spartan-12 is a by-the-book fighter loaded with battling techniques used by Lord Shaxx, Cayde-6, and other famous guardians. He doesn't have much in the way of social interaction; he's arrogant, stubborn, and fierce, always wanting to prove he is right and just.
Weapons: Auto Rifle (Questing Beast), Shotgun (Invective), Rocket Launcher (The Ash Factory)
hunters--Conner Duraz / Male/ 130 / Human / Gunslinger
Physical appearance: Conner has a tall, thin figure along with a light complexion, shaggy black hair and dark brown eyes.
Armor/clothing: Iron Companion armor set + Achlyophage Symbiote; default shader
Personality: Conner may come off at first as depressing, but once he opens up, he can be fun and accepting. A constant is that he is very stubborn and reckless, good for ruling the Crucible solo, not so much when in a fireteam.
Weapons: Pulse Rifle (Hawksaw), Sn!per (1000-Yard Stare), Machine Gun (Harrowed Qullim's Terminus)
Kara Villese / Female/ 247 / Awoken / Nightstalker
Physical appearance: Kara has a pale blue complexion, striking blue eyes, and shoulder length silver hair. She is short and has a hardy and battle-worn physique.
Armor/clothing: Neuroghast armor set + Crest of Alpha Lupi; Glowhoo shader
Personality: Ironically, Kara is a team player, given her Nightstalker subclass. Thought she is always looking out for her team and friends, she values her own life more. If she was in an "End of the world" situation, she would see her friends as expendable and do what it takes solo to save the world and herself.
Weapons: Hand Cannon (Hawkmoon), Sn!per (Patience and Time), Sword (Arc Edge)
Valkoinen Leuka / Female / 27 / Human / Gunslinger
Physical appearance: Valkoinen, Valk to her firends, stands 5'4" with long white hair braided up into a bun for the sake of getting it into a helmet and pale eyes. She has milky skin to match, though she's usually completely covered head to toe in armor. She usually has her helmet on even when she's at the Tower. The only place she changes to civilian clothing is in the safety of her own home in the City.
Armor/clothing: Dead Orbit set with Venom of Ikaheka (cloak), Chatterwhite shader
Personality: Somewhat rash, salty. Loyal to few.
Weapons: Pulse Rifle, Sword
warlocks--Naagen Mor / Male/ 368 / Awoken / Sunsinger
Physical appearance: Naagen has fair hair that goes into a man bun along with sharp bronze eyes and violet skin. Naagen is large and overweight, but strong and durable.
Armor/clothing: Infinite Lines armor set + Heart of the Praxic Fire; default shader
Personality: Naagen often locks himself up in the Tower's library, making him the person to go to for knowledge. At least, of whatever his goal is. In the days before Oryx's defeat, Naagen searched for anything on the Taken King. More often than not, he is babbling away on missions more than he is shooting the bad guys.
Weapons: Scout Rifle (MIDA Multitool), Sn!per (Y-09 Longbow Synthesis)
Mikael / Male / 22 / Awoken / Voidwalker
Physical appearance: Somewhat dark skin for Awoken, black hair loosely pulled back, glowing blue eyes.
Armor/clothing: Spectar set with Chrysanthemum Shader.
Personality: Quiet, patient, gentle-natured. Somewhat gullible.
Weapons: Hand Cannon, Fusion Rifle

Spartan-12, Connor, and Kara were in their usual place by the edge of the Tower, gazing out towards the Traveler and the city below. Connor slammed his fist onto the railing. "It's been weeks since Lord Saladin has hosted the Iron Banner event. My trigger finger is getting anxious." Spartan looked up at the hunter, and shrugged. "He does this sometimes. Maybe he's taking a vacation." Lord Shaxx's voice then sounded throughout the Tower. "May the following guardians enter the Hall of Guardians: Connor Duraz, Spartan-12, Kara Villese, Naagen Mor, Valkoinen Leuka, and Mikael." The three took quick glances at each other and made their way to the Vanguard. The other three guardians were already standing by the Vanguard and Lord Shaxx.

Valkoinen hadn't had a moment to herself coming back from patrol. She'd spent nearly a week out in the Cosmodrome, though that was really nothing compared to how long she and other hunters tended to disappear into the wilds. She'd only come back to load up on ammo synths and to see if anything good had popped up in the vendor stalls. She hadn't had the chance to do either yet before her name had come over the speakers. She was still fully armored and armed to the teeth.
Mika, on the other hand, had been at the tower all day. He'd gotten home (and by 'home' he meant his ship) only a few days ago from a brief trip to Venus with his inventory full of Spirit Bloom. He'd heard his name and he'd come out of the ship upon being summoned. Seeing the others arrive, his attention turned to Shaxx and the Vanguard, hoping for an explanation now that everyone was here.

Shaxx stepped up first. "All of you have probably heard of Lord Saladin's disappearance by now. The Vanguard is establishing a fireteam composed of the six of you to investigate." Cayde-6 then spoke up. "I sent a fireteam of hunters to locate Shaxx two weeks ago, but they never found him. All they found was a campsite on Felwinter's Peak along with a... Temple of the Iron Lords?" The Hunter Vanguard turned to Zavala who nodded. "The fallen Iron Lords had their statues erected in their name in the Mausoleum atop Felwinter's Peak. It would make sense that Saladin would return there, but why has he not returned?"
Connor stepped up, staring the Vanguard straight in their eyes. "We'll bring Lord Saladbar back." It wasn't that he cared about what the Vanguard wanted, it was about what he wanted- the Iron Banner to return so he can cook noobs with his perfectly rolled weapons.

Valkoinen listened to Shaxx, then the Vanguard speak. Seeing as one of the other members of the fireteam was speaking, she kept quiet as she thought this over. Felwinter's Peak? She hadn't visited the Temple yet, and she'd only seen Felwinter's peak from a distance up till now.
Mika listened with small nods every so often. "May we have the documents for our Ghosts?" He requested. It would make remembering everything a little easier, and it would help to have reference to any files his Ghost made regarding the trip. That, and if any of them had more information from other sources that could be useful, the Ghosts would have an easier time pulling the data using matching keywords.
