Plot:
Muse A is a former criminal, who has been chosen for an experiment. Muse A had no say in this, going in without any knowledge of what was about to happen. The experiment was meant to give Muse A the power to control fire, but something went wrong, causing Muse A to lose control of their powers, causing the facility they were being held in to be engulfed with flames, leading them to escape. Muse B was another criminal, who happened to be captured and experimented on weeks after Muse A was. Muse B's powers happen to be ice powers, the complete opposite of Muse A. However, Muse B's only real job was to capture Muse A and hand them over so Muse A could be 'controlled'. One night, the two run into each other, and they end up getting into a huge fight with their powers, causing tons of chaos. Since their powers clash, their personalities do too. Muse A acts like a hothead, always stubborn and wanting to get into fights. Muse B is stuck up and cold hearted, stopping at nothing to obey orders and capture Muse A. But after fighting, the two see something in the other, possibly developing feelings towards the other. Will Muse A turn in Muse B? Or will they join together and possibly get captured once more?

[just tell me if I need to change anything! ] Calla stepped carefully around the large roots that sprung from the ground. The forest she was in was relatively small and just on the outskirts of a larger city. This was where her hunt had lead her. After many long days, she felt she was finally closing in on the rogue experiment. She felt tired, both physically and mentally as she had focused all of her energy and time into the mission the lab had given her. Despite this, she was still burning with determination to drag the lost experiment back no matter what the cost. They had given her promises too irresistible to turn down. She paused for a moment under a large maple tree and looked up at the sky. Evening was slowly turning into night as a purple-pink haze began to engulf the once blue sky. Sunsets were so beautiful to Calla. Too bad she didn’t have the luxury to sit back and enjoy it. A chilly gust of wind interrupted her daydreaming as she was brought down from the sky above. Her dark brown hair blew into her mouth causing her to have to pick and spit it out. Long hair was always nice until it got in your face. Calla muttered a few words of annoyance and then continued on her way. One of the perks of having ice powers was that she never felt cold anymore. Which was particularly good since the thin clothing she wore definitely wouldn’t keep her warm during a cold night. She wore a plain t-shirt, thin pants, and a thin black jacket. As she weaved her way through the dense forest, she stopped as she saw a shadow moving in the distance. Her icy blue eyes narrowed in on the figure and quickly determined that it must be a human. And with any luck, the particular human she was looking for. She moved in closer and knelt down. Pressing a hand against the forest floor, she sent two streams of ice towards the person’s feet. Once they were close enough, they shot out from the ground and attempted to wrap around the person’s feet to prevent further movement.

{No worries, that looks great! C:}
The forest was the only place he could stay. Even it wasn't safe from the flames, but at least it was away from people. Not like he cared about people at all, but even he knew they didn't deserve to feel the pain from his flames.
Narrowing his eyes and pacing around the forest, he breathed out with a sigh. How was he supposed to live a normal life if he had the power to destroy anything? What's worse was that he couldn't even control his flames. It had only been about a week since he was experimented on, and he was struggling. Not only that, he heard rumors of another individual with powers that was supposed to capture him and bring him under control for the authorities. Tch, not like that was going to happen. He wasn't planning on going back there, no matter what.
Anyway, the guy's name was Leon, and at first glance he seemed pretty normal. Aside from his tattered hoodie and grim expression, he seemed like any other twenty-one year old. Leon had lived as a criminal previously, turning to gangs and violence to make a living. He was eventually caught by the police and thrown in jail. Since it was inhumane to experiment on innocent citizens, the scientists resorted to using criminals instead. Not like anybody cared about these prisoners, so why not turn them into monsters? Or so, that was how Leon imagined it.
Suddenly, a cold object snagged around his leg, almost like it was trying to wrap around him like a snake. Luckily for him, his powers took care of it before he had time to process what was going on, setting his body ablaze and melting whatever had come at him. The downside to his powers came the pain. Since his experiment had gone wrong, he wasn't invulnerable to the fire. It gave him some nasty burns whenever he used his powers, but it was never life-threatinging. Not yet. The cold had interrupted his thoughts, and he instantly turned his head in the direction where it had came from. Glaring through the trees as his eyes darted around for the source, he spotted a person and scowled to himself. Adrenaline started coursing through his veins, as he stepped towards the figure in the distance. As hotheaded as he was, his immediate reaction was to fight them.
"Who're you? State your purpose with me, I don't got time for this." A deep voice interrupted the otherwise silent night, taking the attack as a threat. His words were hostile, and it was clear that he didn't want to be messed with. Not tonight.

Who thought it was smart to pair ice with fire? Someone at that lab surely needed to rethink this whole situation. Calla glared in annoyance at the destruction of her ice. Those lab rats should have made someone who could manipulate light. They could have used his flame to their advantage. Well, whatever. She could handle this with or without the upper hand when it came to powers. After all, she had been a success and from what the lab had told her, he was a failure. Therefore, he was inferior.
She quickly stood back up as he addressed her. The girl snorted at his already hostile tone. He was definitely going to be difficult about this, wasn’t he? Calla took a few steps forward, each stride confident as she went to face him directly. She wanted to see exactly what he looked like and could only do so by approaching him. The little light that remained filtered in from between the branches of trees and lit him up just enough for Calla to make out that he appeared as normal as she did. It was quite disappointing really. She had been expecting a mutant looking experiment. Instead, he looked as normal as her.
“Must I bother with such annoying introductions?” Calla sighed and waved her hand around at the trees around them. Each tree near him sprouted sharp, dangerous icicles that were all directly pointed at him. “Well... If you must know, you’re coming with me. The lab wants their little runaway failure to come home for fixing.” she said in a taunting manner. “So why don’t you be a good boy and come back with me.” A cold smirk crossed her lips as she watched him with uncanny confidence.

{I'm going to head off to bed for the night! I'll be back tomorrow!}
When she started walking towards him, he folded his arms over his chest. This girl...she seemed different than everyone else. First of all, she wasn't afraid of him. That was surprising to him. She looked comfident as well, which wasn't too reassuring to him. Her face came into view as well, but she didn't seem any different than the next person.
"Hey now, no need to be so sassy. You should really chill out." He didn't flinch as the icicles surrounded him, their sharp tips all aimed at him threateningly. He's had worse, so he felt as if he wasn't afraid of anything at this point. Reaching his finger out to touch one of the points that was closest to his face, he caused it to melt immediately.
"Me? Going with the likes of you? Don't make me laugh." When she brought up the lab however, he straightened up, seeming a bit more on edge. He clenched his fists until his knuckles turned white, glaring daggers at her. "There's no way I'm going back. Not after what they've done to me." He practically growled, bad memories surfacing in his mind.
"Heh, failure? Look who's talking. At least I'm the one with fire powers. Ice is nothing compared to me!" Shoving his arms outwards quickly towards her, a huge burst of fire ripped through the air, heading towards her without mercy. Heh, lucky hit. Those didn't come often. Once the wave was over, he cursed to himself, glaring down at his burnt hands. He wouldn't be able to fight much longer, if at all. His hands had already took a beating, leaving him practically useless at that point. In his mind, he knew he was a failure, but he wasn't going to admit it. Not now, not ever. Once the smoke cleared, he glanced over in her general direction, hands down at his sides. What he didn't quite understand was why she was working for them in the first place.

(I’m here for a little bit ) Her finger tips twitched with anticipation as she watched him melt one of her icicles. She had to admit, his powers did seem a lot stronger than she was expecting. However, it appeared to her that he was still lacking control. Calla remained alert to his every movement, itching to continue the fight so she could finish this mission. ”There’s no way I’m going back. Not after what they’ve done to me." His words made her cold smirk waver for just a moment. The lab had been a terrible and dark place, giving her a fair share of nightmares. This person had surely been through something similar, if not worse. In that brief moment she almost reconsidered her mission.
Calla didn’t get much longer to think about it as he blasted fire at her. His words right before were lost. She attempted to react in time, creating a large shield of ice to sprout from her forearms as she attempted to cover herself. Her reaction time was quite good enough. While she managed to keep herself from getting completely burnt to a crisp, parts of the fire managed to get past her shield just in time. There was a small burn on her left cheek, a bit of her shirt and stomach burned on her left side, and the worst wound being on her left leg, which was covered heavily in burns from her knee to her foot. She clenched her teeth and tried desperately to remain standing but her legs trembled and she fell down on her right knee. Calla steadied herself with one hand.
Stupid. She was so stupid. Caught up in dark thoughts and feelings of empathy when she should have been focused on the enemy in front of her. Ok you deserved that one. Pull it together. Remember what’s important. Freedom. she told herself inwardly before pushing herself off the ground. Calla stood once more and faced him again. “Oh you’ll pay for that.” she growled. As the smoke began to clear, she shot bullets of ice from her finger tips at him. A painful fury was in her eyes as she was still struggling to ignore the pain coming from her wounds as well as the fact that her energy was being drained from using her power.
