Chapter 1

As the storm rolled in the tiny kit stumbled through the snow she took a shuddering breath "Mother, where are you?" She whispered as she tumbled to the ground. As the dawn light slipped through the branches of the trees the tiny kit woke to hear voices getting closer, she panicked and scrambled up out of the snowy bush she had slept in. She let out a yowl of pain as she stepped on a thorn Oh no the cats heard me... she thought as she limped out of the bush. As the cats approached her she lay down outside the Bush and closed her eyes. "Amberstar come here there's a kit in the snow!!" No, they saw me...

Chapter 2

As the cats approached, the tiny kit stumbled to her feet as the cats arrived in front of her she managed to mutter "h-hello d-do y-you k-know w-where m-m-my m-m-mother i-is?" The biggest of the cats stood up and walked up to her "hello there are you lost?" she asked, "N-no m-my m-mother g-got l-lost on t-the t-thunderpath..." As the tiny kit finished speaking she collapsed onto the ground in a shivering heap of fur. When the tiny kit woke she found herself in a cave that smelled like plants and herbs, A deep purr rumbled in the dark of the cave "hello are you feeling better?" As the tiny kit began to speak a loud yowl from outside interrupted her. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the high rock!" as the cat from the cave bundled the tiny kit out of the cave he went over to a huge rock to find out what was happening.

Chapter 3

"Hey! Wait for me!" Yowled the kit as she broke into a slow run across the clearing. When the kit arrived at the huge rock the cat on top was already speaking, "As you know 2 sunrises ago my patrol found a kit in the snow while checking the border" as the cat finished her sentence murmuring broke out in the clearing and some cat yowled "Where is she?" the murmuring died down and 1 by one the cats in the clearing turned their heads towards her "Hello" said the kit as they stared at her.

Chapter 4

As Amberstar flicked her tail for silence the clan began to settle down and then she continued talking "It is also my belief that she has recovered enough to move to the nursery Lilyfoot as you are currently raising a litter of your own I am placing her in your care" as Lilyfoot stepped forward Amberstar continued "now as this kit has no name it is my duty to give you one, I name you Dawnkit after the dawn that brought you here." As Amberstar touched noses with her new clanmates yowled her name "Dawnkit! Dawnkit! Dawnkit!"

Chapter 5

As Dawnkit and Lilyfoot padded into the nursery excited squeaks broke out in the corner as they entered "Now everyone this is you new sister Dawnkit. Dawnkit meet my kits the red and dark ginger tabby tom over there is Redkit, the light grey spotted she-cat is Blizzardkit and the brown and white dappled she-cat is Flowerkit. There are also more kits who are a little bit older than my kits but they are the same age as you." as she finished Redkit, Blizzardkit and Flowerkit bounced up to Dawnkit and started to play so Dawnkit gave Lilyfoot a questioning look and she gave Dawnkit a quick nod and Dawnkit sprang into the nursery game.

Chapter 6

As the sun faded over the horizon Dawnkit finally met the other kits and the other queen "Ah you must be Dawnkit I'm sure that you are here to meet my kits. The grey, ginger and white tabby tom is Bramblekit, The white and grey spotted she-cat is Cloudkit and the ginger and white tom is Spottedkit, Come Here Dears there's someone I want you to meet." As the kits approached Dawnkit saw that they were the same size as her "Dears this is Dawnkit say hello." as the queen finished the kits came closer "Hello" they all said at different times and it sounded as if one of them had yowled it. "Hello" meowed Dawnkit after they all finished. As the kits went back to their game the queen turned to Dawnkit "By the way I'm Leaftail and if you want you can go play with my kits and I'm sure that they wouldn't mind showing you around the Camp."

As Dawnkit bounded up to Bramblekit, Cloudkit and Spottedkit they stopped playing their nursery game and turned to Dawnkit "Hello" Meowed Cloudkit as Dawnkit stopped in front of the other kits "would you like us to show you around camp?" She asked "Sure i would love to see the rest of camp!" replied Dawnkit. As the other kit bounded across the clearing with Dawnkit in tow they stopped out side of a small fallen tree, "This is the apprentices den, we get to sleep in there once were 6 moons old, But the apprentices are really nice and they've already let us have a look around in there." Meowed Bramblekit "We can have a look now if you like, I think Moonpaw and Maplepaw are in there now and they are the nicest by far." As Bramblekit finished he cast a amused glance at Dawnkit then pushed his way through the bushes and into the fallen tree.
