I've always been a culprit of the last minute entry. It's like I have no inspiration until bam! The Monday it's due I suddenly get a flood of ideas and whoops, I only have an hour to write it after school, haha.

my tuesday challenge routine usually looks like this:
1) when prompt is released, come up with tentative idea
2) flesh out idea throughout the week, coming up with extensive character descriptions and a plot outline
3) come up with a better idea on monday night and write it all in like 2 hours

The funny thing is, my process is:
Day 1: Read prompt. Stare at prompt.
Day 2: Find inspiration to write -- listen to music.
Day 3: Find inspiration to write -- listen to music. Write down a character.
Day 4: Find that song that sparks interest and mold story around character.
Day 5/Results: Before results get posted, read everyone else's. Once everyone's has been read, realize current story is bad.

aww Blossomshadow your stories aren't bad!! besides, the best way to improve is to keep writing! also to read other people's stuff and try to "steal" the stuff you like from them. protip from my creative writing professor right there. |

My current goal is still to beat my highest scoring I've ever gotten. I want a full 10. o.o I'm going to beat that nasty 9.5.Your stories aren't bad.  There's always room for improvement, so just keep writing. It's called a challenge, but see it as a challenge against yourself. |

Oh gosh, I got a 9.5 once and I was soo freaking close to a 10. And I didn't win that round either. xD Dang, that did irk me. I know it sounds ridiculous, being upset over a 9.5. But somehow it feels almost worse than getting, say, an 8.5.

Usually an idea comes to me the moment I read the prompt and it never changes. I stick with it till the end. x'D And I remember PUSHING the deadline because of my procrastination a few times before!
This time around I got it all done Sunday night and did a few tweaks today as I re-read it like ten times lol.
I actually read my entry to my boyfriend and he fell asleep half way through...I wish I was joking.

Can't wait for the next prompt already! Man, did I miss this. I love how the weekly deadline gives you just enough time to write and edit, but not enough to leave you hanging on the results.
