It's set in Ancient Rome. My charrie is a Celtic gladiator.
I have two different versions of this plot. One is where your charrie is a new gladiator brought to the Arena and trains with my charrie. The other version is where your charrie is the son or daughter of the Emperor who eventually takes my charrie as their own slave.
They meet and we just go from there. It's really fun to do.
I'm more than open to your own ideas and I'm willing to do any gender pairings. I just want someone who can do at least 10 lines of roleplay.
If you're interested, please do just let me know x

I'm always on mobile, so my replies might be a little on the slow side, but I can definitely crank out ten lines.

Okay awesome! Which direction did you want to go, with the other gladiator or the emperor's daughter?
Also, what were you thinking for gender pairings?)

Anything is fine with me.
I'm honestly happy with just about anything, so it's really whatever you'd rather do.

Honestly I don't know because I've done both and they're both amazing. I would say that I've done the other gladiator one and it was the cutest lil gay romance ever x

》》 OOC 《《 Aw, it does sound cute!
I guess we can go down that route and do an m/m pairing. I've never done a gladiator roleplay before, so the whole thing just seems like a lot of fun to me!

Since you haven't done a gladiator roleplay, it might be better for you to be able to rp a gladiator, so it's probably better going down that route.
mxm it is! Do you want to iron out anything else or should one of us start?

Hm, I don't think there's anything else to go over. I think we can go ahead and start. Mind starting? I'm not really sure how to. :3

(So I'm just going to set the scene and your charrie can just be brought in afterwards having just been brought into slavery)
A young man in his early twenties sat in a cell, the cool stone of the walls touching the back of his head as he stared between the bars out into the corridor outside. The room was dim and cold, but he was more than used to it.
Aedan was twenty-three, and he had been in slavery for five years, captured as a prisoner of war and taken from his home in Britain. He was tall and quite slim. He was muscular, but he had originally had runner's muscles from running through hills in his homeland, and the muscles gained as a warrior and a gladiator were layered atop these. He was more athletically built and lithe rather than purely muscular.
He had medium-length blonde hair and extremely pale skin, paler than Romans were used to seeing. His eyes were a pale grey-blue colour with silvery flecks. His appearance was quite distinctive, his voice heavily accented, immediately marking him out as different from all of the other gladiators.
The young man looked up as a man -- his master -- came to stand in front of the bars. Aedan stood to approach him.
"Felix, you are to have a neighbour. A new slave" the man began "See to it they obey my rules"
"My name is not Felix" Aedan growled.
"It is your Roman name. You are Roman property. Never forget that, barbarian" the man spat.
Aedan sighed as his master stepped away. He looked at the only empty cell in this whole area, which was next to him. A new slave. Poor bugger
He had been a gladiator the longest out of any here below the Coliseum, and as such he was generally the one given the responsibility of helping new gladiators. Not that he had asked for that responsibility, but still.

》》 OOC 《《 Okay, cool. That makes starting much easier.
》》 IC 《《 Ezekiel was in bad shape. Not physically-----well, mostly, unless you took a good look at his black eyes and busted bottom lip-----but emotionally. His cheeks were dirty, but covered in dry tears. He was ashamed to say that he'd cried on the way to the cells. In fact, he'd been crying for days, which was why he bore so many bruises. Gladiators weren't supposed to cry.
He walked now, or rather was shoved, along the dark hallway toward his cell. The man behind him sneered when he sniffled. Ezekiel was not a big man, barely reaching five foot six, and was as scrawny as a twig. He had long, curly blonde hair, matted with dirt and leaves and who knew what else. His eyes were a deep aquamarine, though the color was barely noticeable behind his bruises.
When he'd spoken, though he'd hardly talked at all, he spoke with no foreign accent at all. He was born and raised in Greece, now a prisoner of Rome, but he'd only been half Greek. He didn't remember where his father had come from, since he'd never met the man.
Not that it mattered now, as the guard opened the creaking cell door. He pushed Ezekiel in, knocking him to his knees before slamming the door shut. "Welcome to your new home, Octavian," he snickered sickly. "You're going to have so much fun here."
Shaking, Ezekiel rose to his feet, brushing off the dirt from his trousers with trembling hands. His new home... He'd rather be dead than call this prison a home.

Aedan watched the new gladiator as he was brought in and thrown into the cell next to his. He definitely seemed like he would need an ally here.
"Who's the fresh meat?" came a rough voice from a couple of cells down
"None of your business," Aedan called back down, his voice firm
"Shut up, barbarian," replied the voice angrily
"I could take you any day, Gaius, and have you on your knees before you even saw me coming" Aedan replied, a voice which made the other gladiator shut up pretty quickly.
There was a pause as Aedan turned his head to look at the new gladiator, considering how exactly he should go about trying to help this new gladiator. There wasn't much he could do, in all honesty. After a moment, he spoke "Are you alright? I'm sorry about everything that's happened. But we've all been through it. I'm Aedan, but my Roman name is Felix"
He didn't have much experience with how to approach new gladiators. There wasn't a whole lot he could offer them in terms of consolation or anything like that. So what was the point, really, in pretending that everything was alright? It clearly wasn't, and it never would be.

》》 IC 《《 Ezekiel was a little distracted trying to take all of this in when Aedan spoke to him. His Roman name...is that what the guard had given him? A Roman name? He didn't quite like it, to be honest. Ezekiel was named after his father, so his name wasn't Greek or Roman, and he liked it just fine.
"Ezekiel... My mother used to call me Zeke, sometimes," Ezekiel replied quietly, his voice barely more than a whisper. It was raw and scratchy, too, from sobbing.
He let out a small sigh, taking a seat in the corner of his cell and resting his arms on his knees. It was cold here and he shivered, unhappy and quite frankly terrified.
"The guard...calls me Octavian," he added to the other man. The other gladiator, because he supposed they would turn him into one soon enough.
After a moment's hesitation, Ezekiel said defeatedly, "I wanted to die. But they would rather keep me here."

"Nice to meet you," Aedan replied "Or not so nice, considering the circumstances. Yes, Octavian would be your Roman name. If they think your name isn't Roman enough, they give you a new one for the crowds. If I were you, Ezekiel, I'd hold on to my real name. It will be the only thing that is truly yours."
He paused for a moment before continuing "I spoke Celtic when I came here, the language of my home, so I had to learn Latin fluently. I still get beaten if I get it wrong," as he spoke he pulled down his clothes slightly to reveal a criss-cross of silver scars from being whipped before adding "So my name is the only piece of my own language I have."
He wanted to show this other man that he wasn't hostile or anything. That he was friendly and he didn't mean harm. That he was suffering just as he was. That he was there as a source of advice or something.
"Oh, boo hoo, what a sob story!" came Gaius' voice again "Just because he's been here longest he thing he has the right to whinge"
"I swear, Gaius, if you don't shut up..." Aedan yelled before turning back to the new gladiator "Ignore Gaius. I beat him in practice yesterday and he is somewhat a sore loser"
