OK can anybody tell me why there is so much typing lag on the mobile version I had to write this on docs (I have a s7 edge so it has something to do with memory usage or something else on the mobile/desktop website) , also the stupid "Google says you have a virus" ad that kicks you out of the forum and into a loop of never ending virus ads that destroy whatever you where writing has made me quite angry, could one of the admins or mods maybe optimize the mobile forum and ban the "You have a virus" ads. (I know you need money to keep the server up but pop-up ads that delete every thing you are trying to write is a bit unacceptable)
I never had problems like this with the SSS forums so I should be having a better experience with a MUCH larger forum.

i'm on mobile all the time (one older than yours, even—iphone 5s), and i never experience any 'typing lag'. one possibility could be all of the useless plugins, but it's more likely that it's the fault of your phone. galaxy/samsung products always lag (for me) everywhere, which was the main reason i switched to apple.
and a question: in what way does larger forum equate to better service?

The reason i switched was because of the freedom you get with android. though if IOS was sold on other phones that are not 1000$ (aka third party) i would use IOS. Also i always have at least a gigabyte of free ram at all times and I have never experience lag as bad as this. so i am going to just blame everything on proboards for sucky optimization because you need more than 1 gig of ram to use a website and for not showing me ads i am not interested in and put me in a endless loop of ads. win-win corporations suck, the end. |

it's a proboards site. i can't just go and decide which ads i want to display since it's all handled by proboards (the company). if i made the decision, i would have picked something much better than proboards, but i didn't, and now i just have to work with what we're stuck with proboards staff will be releasing v6 soon™ and they claim it'll have a much better mobile interface. progress on v6 can be seen here: trello.com/b/4BSVVXt5/v6-public-feature-countdownas for the ads, they definitely shouldn't be doing that. you can report them with this link here: ads.proboards.com/ad-report.htmli'd go ahead and pay for the ad-free option, but i'm not too interested in that when it comes out to be $245/mo. for now i'll just go ahead and buy a month of proboards+ for you to get rid of ads for a while Thanks for the Proboards +, also why is it so expensive to be a premium user? Its almost like trump owns proboards. |
