The idea of this might sound odd, but I've been thinking about this for awhile and just wanted to share + see if anyone had any similar thoughts
Tawny and Bramble becoming loyal and respected leaders to their clans would've just been such a cool thing to read about since Tigerstar had left such a lasting impression on both of their clans respectively (and not really in a good way). I remember both cats having issues with their clans doubting their loyalty or judging them thanks to who their father was, they both made the journey to find the clans' new homes, and they both became successful and worthy warriors through hard work and determination. Them both becoming successful & beloved leaders would've been a great throwback to the path their father chose, but also a stark contrast in how they'd use their power in such a different way than Tigerstar did. Something about that just seems so much better to me for Tawny story wise than, well, her just being a powerful somebody's mate & mother respectively. Now I don't really know all that much about Rowanstar, besides the fact that he's Tawnypelt's mate and had a bit of growth since he went from calling her Half-Clan to defending her loyalty against Russetfur later in the story, but I really do feel like Tawnypelt becoming a deputy + leader, around the same time Bramblestar did, would've been a much more interesting thing to see & made for a much more interesting dynamic with Thunderclan than whatever Rowanstar's brought to the table I guess I just wish the Erins would give her character a bit more, since she's always been such an interesting cat to me with the choices she made in regards to picking Shadowclan over Thunderclan + turning down her father's offer to train her. That's really interesting, I don't know why it wasn't delved into more since I would've loved to see how and why she got to be so firm in her decisions as well as brave enough to stand to her father and refuse his offer, when even Bramblestar couldn't. I dunno, personally, I just think it sucks seeing that her brother, who's the same age and has the same qualifications as her, ends up as leader, and her half sister is a successful medicine cat and her half brother was a daunting villain, and she's...just the background mate/mom of SC's leader and deputy? Ok. Anyway, it might just be my own bias but I really feel like the Erin's dropped the ball with Tawny and her status in SC because I would've found this really interesting to read about.

She was wayyyy more qualified than Rowanstar, or at least she should have been deputy instead of Tigerheart.

I agree on Rowanstar for sure, and while I have no issues with Tigerheart's chara, I find it 100% bull that he made it to deputy instead of her cause I don't understand how such a young warrior would even be anywhere near as qualified as Tawny who's probably close to senior warrior-levels in terms of experience at this point (especially since she was also part of the prophecy group that helped find the clans' new homes. @ the erins wyd)

I remember always thinking Tawnypelt would probably become deputy someday- she always felt qualified for it. I felt really cheated when Tigerheart instead became deputy, it just made no sense to me with Rowanstar having a senior warrior, who is also his mate, available for a position she'd be great at- and just giving it to his son, who is far, far less qualified. Like I mean, yes, Tigerheart IS qualified for the job, but Tawnypelt is a better choice? Tawnypelt should've became deputy instead of Rowanstar, too. I would've loved for a Tawnystar.

I definitely agree and honestly I remember having similar thoughts now that I'm thinking about it! Part of me wondered if maybe the Erins didn't make her deputy because she was his mate and bias, but nah Tigerheart is his son, and far less qualified, so that excuse doesn't even cut it plus Squirrelflight is Bramblestar's deputy so..I really dunno why the Erins decided to shove Tawny aside? It's probably just the curse of poor writing but regardless haha, at least we have aus...orz

I've wanted Tawnystar my whoooole life. I need Tawnystar. I hope when Tigerstar leaves that Tawny becomes deputy and that Rowan passes quickly.
