Screech lashed his tail happily in response to Heart's reply, but now knowing of what water could do to Heart, Screech couldn't help but to feel bad for offering something of that sort to her. When Heart had told him that she had to leave, gave a dip of his head and the looked out across the water as she padded away. He would return to camp after a few moments of sitting beside the water by himself. Heart padded into camp, Savage rushing by her. She glanced at him, orange eyes confused. What's got his fur on end? She questioned herself, still continuing on. Per habit, she went back to her and Sun's den, however she stopped midway through waggling her haunches to leap onto her ledge. No, she sensed that she should take some time to reflect inside her den for once, where it was shady, and quiet. ( mimikyutie This would be the opportunity you're looking for to bring in Balsam, by the way.)

Rose gazed desperately back after Savage, green eyes wide with faint sadness, only to scowl as she huffed at Dawn. "Great. Do you scare everyone away?"
"It's a living." Dawn snarked back sharply, lashing her tail, before she snorted. "You sure you want to get involved with that akward tom?"
Rose huffed. "I do as I please and speak to who I please."
Vulture grumbled as he spotted Savage. "Slow down, kit. What's got you in such a rush?"

"She-cats." Savage breathed, sitting hard on his rump. "I can't deal with two at once." He muttered, pawing angrily at a little rolly red rock. He huffed in defeat, kicking the rock away out of frustration and laying down with his head on his paws. "Rose and I were havin' a nice time... I think... and then Dawn..." He grumbled, lashing his tail.

Vulture's face curled in a scowl, only to warp into gruff humor. "Bah hahaha! You're sweet on her, on Rose! Of course Dawn's gonna give you rough times. She's as cold as a desert night, when it comes to feelin's like these. Did she fluster ya?" He asked with a knowing grumble and laugh.

Finally back at camp, Ant made his way towards Heart and Sun's den, making sure Balsam was still behind him. "Heart. Sun." He announced curtly. "We found this wanderer during patrols" With that he went silent, once again glaring at the rogue.

"Yea, she did." Savage grumbled, leaving the first part of Vulture's presumption unanswered directly. He swished his tail less furiously now, although still annoyed. "I don't even know howta act, I've never..." The large cream tom began, sighing. Swallowing his fear, he continued. "I've never liked anyone bufore."
Heart's russet-red face appears from between the roots hanging like a curtain in front of her den, and she scowled. "Sun is out at the moment, but seeing as this tends to be my division anyways," she stepped out of the den fully, lashing her tail, "where exactly did you find this cat?" She questioned, looking from Ant to the orange tom, looking over his build. Broad, with well-muscled shoulders, and scars enough to show he earned his living alone in the desert. He reminded her of her own father in looks, worn, large, but personality was another matter. Heart picked up on a curious light to his yellow eyes, however hidden with a nonchalant aura. As most wanderers, he would be hard to fully decipher.
(Sorry I poofed, had to eat dinner and discuss some family matters.)

Vulture gave a light grunt of understanding. He sighed. "Ah yes. When you like a she-cat, you become quite a sight. Such complex creatures! Yet they always smell better than we do." He complained, before resting a heavy paw on Savage's shoulder.
"I reckon you'll be quite a fool to not give this a try. Seems like the little miss takes a liking to your dusty pelt." He snickered, before scowling once more.

Savage chuckled a little bit, shrugging off Vulture's paw and sitting up. "I feel too old for this drama." He admitted, frowning and flattening an ear. Once more he pawed at the ground, taking out his frustration on pebbles.

"You're too old for it? I'd say I'm too old to be watching all this!" Vulture complained gruffly, shaking his dark brown fur. He snorted. "Careful. Those rocks are pretty tough, they might attack ya."

"I mean it. Heart's had a litter already, and could have 'er second if she'd jus'..." Savage stopped mid-sentence, realizing firstly that he was talking too much about his sister's personal business, and secondly that he was not, in fact, Heart. In any way shape or form, really. And she always had been the more mature one of the two. He sighed. "I suppose you're right."

"Ay now. Everything starts slow in this here world. Enjoy these new feelings, learn from em'. I bet Rose'll enjoy you no matter how you act on the outside. She thinks I can't see it, but she can be just as flustered as you, Savage." Vulture assured gruffly.

"You're right, Vulture." Savage nodded agreement. "Think I should go 'n' see if Dawn is done buggin' her?" He asked, somewhat shyly, scuffing his paw yet again.

"Yea, why not? Dawn'll grow bored with her sneerin' and go back to duties. She's like a workin' bee, that Wayfinder." Vulture shrugged, flicking a rugged tail.
Rose finally sighed in relief as Dawn was drawn towards some other tribe cats, looking ready to hunt some more. She sat down, looking back where Savage left.
Did he truly enjoy her presence? She hoped he'd keep talking to her..

"Yer right. Thanks, Vulture." Savage nodded, turning and trotting back to where he'd left Rose. He spotted her and grinned, slowing down and waving his fluffy tail. "Dawn finally leave ya alone?" He questioned, looking around for the other she-cat.

"Yes. Thank you for leaving me to face her alone." Rose complained, though humor was clear in her voice. She gave a look of relief, before she hummed. "What did Grumpy-paws say?" She referred to Vulture.

"The big grump said that I should ignore Dust 'n' just hang out with you." Savage answered honestly, with a chuckle to his low, nervous voice. He glanced at her eyes briefly, trying to see if he could read any emotions. Even though, that had never been his talent, whereas Heart was fabulous at it.

(Sorry kids. I do not work tomorrow night!)
Balsam was looking at everything the camp had to offer visually. He soaked it all in, memorizing the layout, the exits, and cats..."Pleasure to meet you." He said with a slight tip of his head. "Your /lovely/ patrol here just insisted I visit their home while we chatted at the rendezvous point." The rouge's voice was dripping with sarcasm, and his expression read of a blatant aloofness.

"Really? Vulture said that? Who knew the lug could be so considerate?" She purred, grinning up at Savage. She could tell he was feeling akward, but that he was also trying hard too. She appreciated that.

Heart scoffed, flicking her tail. "Going to keep my wayfinder from answering his own questions, wanderer? Perhaps you'd tell me your name while someone answers where they found you." She retorted. Though she mentioned Ant, Flower and Dust, she kept her eyes trained on the outsider.
Savage chuckled. "I don't think anyone did." He answered jokingly, referencing Vulture's grumpish personality.

Rose gave a soft laugh. "Well, at this point, how the others feel is up to them. I happen to be perfectly comfortable with our endeavors. So they can't sway me!" She promised with a flash of bravery.

"We found him wandering around in the open, and either we need to check our borders again or this mouse-brain doesn't know how to mind his own business" While answering to Heart, Ant continued to openly glower at Balsam.

Seeing no harm in stating his name, Balsam replied to the leader, "My name is Balsam." Glancing at the wayfinder, the rouge let out an exasperated sigh. "Look, kid, there are plenty of other things to look at, such as the pretty cat in front of us." He said with a quick wink at the tribe's leader. "I'm starting to get creeped out by your beady little eyes."

Screech padded back into camp to where he could see that the tribe members were growing restless. He tilted his head in question, but, he went back to his original job. He moved around the camp however, watching as cats moved out of the camp, before he went to the entrance to where he was going to wait. He couldn't help but to lash his tail as he hadn't seen Heart in camp. Maybe she went out... He thought.

Heart narrowed her eyes ever so slightly. "Where in the open? Drybrush? Lifepool? Redlands?" The tactician clarified with Ant, listing various areas of the territory. It was common for lost cats to appear in certain areas every once and the while, but a cat of his kind... she had to know where he was found. "And you, Balsam," the russet-red she-cat lashed her tail, "don't think you can flatter me with your ways. I know well how your kind work." She then looked to Flower and Dust, undoing her brash gaze. "Perhaps you were more observant of your surroundings? Were there any other cats nearby in the area?" Heart questioned. Her own heart raced, beating like a hammer in her dust-stained chest. The cool shade of her den called out to her from behind, but she shook the desire away; she had business to attend to.
Savage grinned. "I like the sound o' that." He chuckled, raising his head in an attempt to overcome his shyness.

"Do you now?" Rose purred in question. She puffed her chest out. "Witness my bravery, honorable tom! For not many weild it." She teased, feeling carefree like a Novice again.

Savage laughed quietly, beyond amused with Rose's foolery. It felt good to not be so stiff for a change. "As goes for you, valiant she-cat." He bowed coyly.

"Well, this valiant she-cat certainly is..." Rose paused, lifting her ears in surprise as she glanced over at the cats grouped around. She frowned. "Savage, do you know what's going on over there?" She asked with concern.

Savage looked over, swishing his tail in observation. "It seems like that's the hunting party... but they shouldn't be back yet, Heart sent them to Drybrush. I wonder what happened." He meowed thoughtfully, narrowing his brown eyes in suspicion.
