When Sandstorm died, I was quite sad about it. I mean, she's one of my favorite characters and she's so well-written. A stubborn, feisty she-cat who isn't afraid to stand up for herself... gone, just like that.
Sandstorm's been around for so many years. It's just sad that she's gone now, but the original characters are all going to die eventually. I thought Sandstorm's death was well-written and I'm glad she's happy with Firestar now.

Yeah, I was really upset when she died, too. The moment she decided to go on the journey with Alderpaw, I just knew she wasn't going to make it, but I am glad she's with Firestar again.
Ravenpaw, Firestar, Dustpelt, and now Sandstorm. Graystripe is the only one of the original apprentices who's left.

Yeah, I loved her and she knew that is was vary likely for her to die on the quest but she went anyway.

I was shocked when I read spoilers for the book, but when I actually read it I wasn't sad because I expected it.

While her death was sad I knew it was coming so it didn't hit me all too hard. What DID get me was how weak she was throughout the journey. That above her death upset me because we've never seen Sandstorm so incapable. She was one of those awesome characters you felt could go forever and seeing her like that really just knocked me off balance.
