A young girl with coal-colored hair and eyes blinked in, wearing a school uniform with sleeves slightly too long for her arms. She was leaning forward and one of her hands was on her chin, but it was just a bundle of sleeve, acting like a mitten. She slowly straightened her back and stood, having appeared on the higher pillar in the room. "Hmm? What happened?" she asked softly to herself, but she was staring directly at the group on the other pillar. Then she lowered her gaze, and without moving her head stared into the pit of ping pong balls. "..."

( WOW didn't see the new page and I kept hesitating to see if someone else would post -_- )
"I will, if you miss the jump I'll catch you." Corbin took a small step back, then made a flying leap towards the other pillar. He caught it with his upper body, fingers gripping the far edge, and hauled himself up, only to find himself face to face with a new girl. His golden eyes widened a bit, but he managed to not punch her in surprise reflex like he had with the first pillar. "Uh, you need to scoot over so Ellie has a place to stand."
(absolutely no idea how to integrate this into the rp post since its like this really subtle visual detail, but he has a mechanical thing on his back. Its not super obvious normally, but when he's jumping around and grabbing things like he is now, someone might happen to notice his "shoulder blades" don't look right under his shirt. What they choose to do with the knowledge is up to you xD )

The girl hesitated for a long time, like she hadn't really heard Corbin, but then reluctantly sidestepped out of the way. "Hmm," she said again, tapping her chin with her sleeve-mitten. She had a wry smile on her face, and her dull eyes showed a strange kind of excitement. "Oh, my, my, it seems like I've intruded on your table tennis tournament. Oh, what awful luck again..." She put her face in her hand in dejection, then raised it again. She looked intrigued, suddenly getting far too close to Corbin. "But this place really is mysterious..."

Corbin just looked at the new girl, not sure how to even respond to that, then turned as Ellie jumped. When she didn't quite make it, he reached out and snagged the back of the girl's sweatshirt, pulling her up onto the top and relative safety. "This is insanity." He muttered, looking past her into the sea of ping pong balls. Before he could say anything else though, he vanished.

The dark-haired girl put her covered hands up toward her face and smiled at Ellie when she managed to get onto the platform. "Hello!" she greeted. She jumped slightly when Corbin disappeared and slowly blinked, registering what an odd place this was. She didn't quite seem phased though. "Insanity..." she echoed and pivoted to look back down at Ellie, giving the girl a wider smile.

(goodnight falcon !) Ellie was panting once she was pulled up. Her arms were also slightly burning from the strain of keeping herself from falling. She lifted her head, a 'thank you' about to be said to Corbin when he just completely vanished. "Whoa--" It was one thing to see someone randomly appear, but another to watch as they disappeared. Knowing that it wasn't the time to become consumed with her endless questions about all of this, Ellie got back to her feet, wanting to find where the hell they were supposed to go from here.
"Oh, hi," she replied to the other girl. "Um..." Ellie had no idea why she was smiling at her like that, but it made her feel a bit uneasy. "Sorry, I can't really explain all of this--" Ellie waved her hands out to gesture at the room-- "but we need to keep moving up. I think."

Damn. A few more adults had suddenly appeared, but the majority stayed kids. Most of which seemed headstrong and ready to fight. Well if they wanted to fight then so be it. He'd find a way out. Seeing that Corbin had found a door, he strode over to the door, making his way past the stiff child. Once through the door, however, he realized why Corbin had stopped. There were doors. Endless doors upon doors upon doors that went on as far as the eye could see. It would take forever to search all of them. "Dammit," he spat, then stalked over to one of the doors and opened it. One of these had to lead out and by God he was going to find it. He stepped into the room without another thought. -- "Naegi wait!" But he was already gone. Cursing, Noctin shoved himself off the couch and bolted for the door. If Naegi went into a room alone... He shuddered at the thought of what might happen. He realized, distantly, how ridiculous he was being. He was angry at Naegi for lying to him and keeping information from him, but the second Naegi was possibly in danger he forgot all of that and was ready to die for him again. Naegi, meanwhile, had turned left at the first intersection, stopping as soon as he was safely behind a wall. Pressing his back up against it, he futilely tried to wipe his tears away with a sleeve, legs pathetically trembling under his weight. "You let me become this way. You are the reason I'm like this!"...Would he really be...? "You're the reason... I'm going to die a worthless normal girl, Makoto."His legs finally gave out, and he weakly curled up into a ball, burying his face into his arms. He only allowed his body to be shaken with sobs for only a few mere seconds, knowing Noctin was well on his way, having caught his shout from earlier. It was either he went against Komaru's wishes and told Noctin about her, or he upset Noctin by keeping her a secret, like she would want. ...There was no way out of this. Perhaps... perhaps... ...He should leave this to luck. Shakily withdrawing a coin from his pocket, he quickly decided which would be heads and which would be tails, the coin making a resounding fwing as he flipped it, letting it clatter to the floor.

(Ptsp?)
Corbin reappeared, windmilling his arms to stay on top of the suddenly very small surface above a tumbling sea of ping pong balls. His mind still raced for a logical explanation but came up empty. Once is coincidence, twice is not. Besides, no one in the neroresearch department had been able to tell him anything.

Noctin burst into the hallway, frantically looking back and forth for Naegi. No sign of him. Dammit what if he went into a room? Spinning around, he looked at the doors, trying to gauge which would have been the quickest to get into after leaving the living room. But what if Naegi had gone into a different room? What if he hadn't gone into a room at all? Cursing viciously enough to make tears prick at his eyes, he approached a door. He started to turn the knob, praying desperately that Naegi would be in there when he heard a sharp but faint clink. He spun around immediately, heading straight for the sound. A sigh of relief escaped him as he rounded the corner and he seemed to almost deflate. "Naegi..." Heads. Catching the sound of footsteps stopping by him, Naegi shakily got on to his own two feet, wiping off his face with a sleeve. When his arm dropped to his side, he looked to Noctin, a gentle smile brimming with hope on his face. "I don't hate you. I never... hated you."Sometimes, he supposed, it was easy to forget the good things. But, looking at Noctin here, someone who had been close to Komaru and fairly kind to him, speaking praises of his sister back when he remembered... "That me... the one in whatever timeline you protect... Save her. Change her future."It reminded him of how their conversation had ended. How Komaru wouldn't want him to despair like this. "...I'm sorry you had to see that, Noctin-kun. I guess I just got overwhelmed," he laughed, brushing off his knees. "...and forgot about a promise I made to someone important to me." Sighing, Naegi tensed slightly, fists balling. Time to break the news... "...I can't tell you about her, Noctin-kun. Because I've already let her down enough. Because I... let her get hurt too many times. So this is the least I could do for her. I hope you can forgive me for keeping this from you." His gaze met the Desolate's, a startingly serious look on his face. "...I think it would be better for the both of you if you didn't remember her, anyways. There's a reason for everything, you know..." He smiled again, a small smile that spoke volumes. "Maybe one day you'll remember her, though. When... it's healthy for you to confront those memories. I think that'd make her happy..."

Noctin stopped short upon seeing Naegi's face, confused and feeling left in the dark. How had Naegi cheered up so fast? Just a second ago he was certain Naegi had been having a panic attack. Noctin took an uncertain step back, not knowing what to do or say or even how to act. "I- it's okay..." he said slowly as Naegi apologized.
He watched Naegi' brace himself; watched his hands curl into fists. Bad news, then, he thought, already anticipating what Naegi was going to say. A confusing storm of emotion rose in him as Naegi spoke.
Of course he could forgive Naegi.
But he needed to know-
If it had been him who had made the promise, he wouldn't want to break it either...
Wouldn't it be easier to just let this go?
No. It. Wouldn't.
Meeting Naegi's serious gaze seemed to ground him for a second. And then the words tore into him.
'I think it would be better for the both of you if you didn't remember her'
'There's a reason for everything, you know...'
The confusing emotions he had been feeling suddenly solidified into one he knew well. The almost scared expression on his face hardened as a serpent of fury rose in him, spitting acid that burned the very core of his being. A reason for everything? Better if he didn't remember?
Who was Naegi to play God here? Who was Naegi to puppet him around and play with his memories? Was he never going to be free from this? He had thought he was finally done being everybody's damn toy.
There were so many things he wanted to say. Damn filthy ketzichl. Noctin hated him. He had trusted Naegi! He had trusted him and cared for him and this was his payment? Well, Naegi could watch his own back then. He could watch that scumbag Hinata's back as well. Noctin was done. He wasn't going to let Naegi puppet him around.
He was finally his own and it was going to stay that way.
Without a single word to Naegi, Noctin turned sharply and stalked away.

(thats really cool !!) Ellie again found herself in the chaotic room of ping pong balls. It had been no more than perhaps thirty minutes since she had been here, and, with much persuasion from Riley that she had let her imagination get the best of her, Ellie had grudgingly given up in trying to explain. So when she was suddenly once more thrown back into the impossible, she shouted, "I knew it!" before full realization set in and she let out a curse when several of the small balls pelted the back of her head.
