(yep we're doing a newbie event 0:) "Wh--" Ellie glanced at Corbin, confusion overtaking her face. She blinked a couple of times as she registered what he was saying. "I'm not the one doing this!" she shouted, "I'm just as lost as you are!" Ellie took a few cautious steps backwards, not sure what the boy would do. "Look-- I don't know you, I don't know what the **** is going on here, but I want to get out just as badly." She didn't take her eyes off of Corbin as she continued to move away, all the while leaving one hand on the wall in case there was loose panel or something that signified an exit. "So yeah, let's 'get this over with' and find the door already!"

Carl blinked in, this time wearing a green plaid shirt and jeans. His hair was brushed, and the blood was gone from his shirt so apparently some time had past. He froze mid-step when he saw where he was, and his hand flew instinctively to his back pocket, even though he didn't have his gun with him. Here again? But this place wasn't real, it had been a strange nightmare caused by his exhausted mind, during the fight. He stared mistrustfully at the other people there, recognizing the man as the one he'd nearly had to shoot. "What did you guys do?" He asked to announce his presence, and also because he had suddenly realized he had no shadow.

( Corbin's 15, just fyi Cx And for those who remember him, this is a revamp of Kilo. Pretty much a different person, but some of his abilities are the same )
Should we post our character forms? (if you even have them, its not a big deal if you dont) Just so we know general descriptions etc? )
"Sure. Fine." Corbin's tone betrayed the fact he still didn't really believe her. "I'm going to bet it's in or near the ceiling, because that's the only place we can't get to." And because you like to tease me with the fact I can't fly. He added silently, then continued. "No ladders, nothing. Plus- hey!" He clapped a hand to the back of his head, expecting blood, even though the impact hadn't been that hard. There was no injury though, just the 'tic tic tic' of ... "a ping pong ball?" The teen watched as the small white ball bounced and finally rolled to a stop.

(here's what ellie looks like o: if you want a more in depth description you can check out her last of us wiki page) Ellie didn't need him to fully believe her, she just needed him to not be actively out to get her for being behind this. Just long enough until I can get back. "What do you mean what did we do?" She had turned quickly to face another boy, only just recognizing his face from the crowd earlier. "We were trying to get out of this place and ended up in...whatever this room is," she said. Ellie cast a glance up at the ceiling before her gaze returned to the two boys - and other guy now. It was very disconcerting how they just kept appearing out of nowhere like that... "Maybe--" She was cut off when Corbin was hit with something and she bent down to pick up the white ball. "Where the hell did this come from?"

( Okay cool thanks yeah just having a general description or image really helps me out, idk about you guys xD If it's a cannon character just saying where they are from should suffice ) >>Lark I just couldn't connect to the character I wanted him to be so I left him on hiatus until I could redesign him. I'll have a reference picture up in a bit, still finishing out the colors^^' ) "Don't-!" Corbin started to jump forward, expecting the ball to explode on contact or suddenly emit poison gas or something equally unpleasant. The girl touched it before he could get there though, with seemingly no ill effects. "Um, okay." So nothing immediately dangerous.... "Maybe it was already in here and someone just kicked it?" Despite having no shadows, they still should have noticed the ball though. What did it have to do with solving the door problem though? "Is there a divot we can put it in to open the do-." He was interrupted by more 'tics,' three more ping pong balls bouncing across the floor from the far side.

(yeah it definitely helps me to have a visual of the character lol) Ellie practically jumped when Corbin started towards her. And when nothing happened about his apparent concern for the ball, she exclaimed, "sheesh, don't do that!" She did make a face at his reasoning of where the ping pong ball had come from. It might have been just as white as the rest of the room, but she was sure she wouldn't have missed it sticking up off the floor. Ellie turned her eyes to the sound and watched as more balls bounced towards them. Zoning in on their general direction, she began to walk to the other side of the room. "Alright, there has to be something that's letting these in," she said.

Corbin looked over at the far wall and watched the girl walk towards it for a few moments before following. His eyes flickered over the length of the wall, looking for any kind of opening. His jaw fell open a bit as suddenly the top half of the wall bubbled unnaturally and started.... growing ping pong balls, the small white spheres just forming out of the wall material and dropping to the floor by the hundreds in a rising roar. "Look out!" He raised his left arm to shield his face from the onslaught and started backing up, trying not to fall on the balls, but looking to see if the girl was anywhere nearby. "Ah!" Suddenly something was at his back and Corbin swung around on reflex with a quick left-handed karate strike, only to have his hand rebound off the cubical pillar with a clang. Taking the opportunity, he darted around and sheltered behind the structure. It's official, NOVA was wrong, his mind was compromised and now he's caught in a surreal hallucination.

(echo;; yep ! it's a plain white room with no shadows and there are now ping pong balls being materialized out of the walls and pillars are beginning to rise from the floor cx) Ellie glanced over her shoulder to look at Glenn when he spoke, causing her to miss the sight of growing ping pong balls until Corbin shouted, but it was too late to dodge. The girl was effectively caught by the barrage of balls and she let out a surprised yell, "whoa!" Ellie went under the wave and tried to catch her bearings enough to crawl out before she was completely buried. Along the way she had managed to slip her switchblade back into her pocket right before she got out of the onslaught enough to made it back to her feet. Her eyes locked onto the pillar, and, for a moment, she was stunned by the fact that it had come out of nowhere. Just like how everyone else kept appearing, she noted.
Deciding it was the best place to get to for now, Ellie began to wade through the evergrowing pool of balls. "Okay, new plan!" she shouted out, and followed by a pause, added, "I don't have one."

"What the-" Carl exclaimed as he was suddenly hit on the shoulder with a ping pong ball. He took a step back and shaded his eyes, staring up at the ceiling, though he couldn't see anywhere the tiny white ball could have come from. Had it just appeared, like they had? "So this is that room I was gonna go in?" He added, turning to Ellie with a frown. "That doesn't make any sense....that was ages ago." Of course, as soon as the teen said that he backtracked even further in his reasoning and let out a little snort. "This isn't real. I'm hallucinating, or dreaming." Then he whipped around as Corbin shouted, stiffening at the sight of the growing ping pong balls and back away, slipping and falling onto his back with a little grunt he suddenly wondered how many ping pong balls were enough to be dangerous.....could someone drown in them?
Not wanting to find out, Carl scrambled backwards and managed to slide behind a pillar, not bothering to question its existence since it was doing its job.

"That would have been funny if we'd had a plan coming in here." Corbin snapped. His eyes darted around the room as ping pong balls rattled their way across the ever-rising sea of them, trying to think. "Look, there." He pointed across the room at a pillar that either shorter than all the rest or just wasn't fully grown yet. "If we can get on top of that, it'll buy us some time to come up something better." He waved to the guys hiding a couple pillars away. "Hey! You! Think you can make it over there?" He pointed again

Carl risked sticking his head out from behind his pillar to look where Corbin was pointing, a shorter pillar. Did the other man think it was a door? He hesitated, thinking hard, since he couldn't actually hear what Corbin was saying over the balls he had to figure it out himself. Luckily, however, Carl was very good at getting out of impossible situations and he quickly realized the usefulness of the pillar. "Yeah, good idea." He shouted over the sound of hundreds of balls bouncing off walls, but watching the growing flood he knew soon it was be impossible to get to anywhere. He took one more deep breath, then flung himself out of safety and sprinted towards the pillar, sparing only an instant to wish he had his hat, which would have protected his face.

(it is confirmed we never would have been able to do this room on wcf )
Corbin waited a couple of seconds to give the girl a lead, then plunged after her. Despite the relative lightness of the ping pong balls, the multitude of them on all sides made it difficult to move through or, alternatively, stand on. Add in the constant rain of them from above and the going was rough. The teen made it to the short pillar though and looked at the others. "It's gonna be tight, but I think we can all fit on there. "Uh, girl," He realized he didn't know her name. "do you need a boost?"

Running through all the ping pong balls was harder than Carl had thought it would be. Once he took a wrong step and ended up sprawling painfully into his back, but he didn't have time to think about it much before he was nearly buried, he only just managed to scramble to his feet and keep sprinting for the pillar. It seemed Corbin had gotten there a moment before him, and was offering help to Ellie, though he doubted she needed it. He leapt, grabbing the edge of the shorter pillar and hanging there for a second before pulling himself up with a low grunt of effort, then turned himself around and offered his hand to either of the others, then just Corbin as Ellie managed it herself. "Come on."

(sorry for poofiness x-x )
"I got it." Corbin leaped up, caught the edge of the pillar, and swung his legs up in a motion that suggested he might have trained to do something similar. Standing on the pillar now, still getting pelted by ping pong balls, he looked around, weighing other options. "You have your gun?" He asked the other boy. That might open some options.

No problem. )
Carl straightened up once both of the others were on the pillar, taking a somewhat precarious step backwards to try and give himself and them more room. There wasn't much space at all here, and already his mind had switched to 'walkers' mode so subconsciously he felt that if anyone fell right now, they would die. With this in mind, he shifted slightly so he wasn't pressed against them, not wanting to drag them down if he fell, or be dragged if they fell. "No, my situation is a lot different from when I saw you last." He explained in a tense voice, squinting and wincing as a fast moving ball struck his cheek. "But I don't think a gun would do much good here." He added. "Where's the door?"

(hi raven !) Ellie herself wasn't very happy with these close quarters, but shifting at all made it feel like she'd slip or knock one of the boys off. "I don't see one yet," she replied to Carl. "Come on," she added in a mutter. There had to be something else they could do besides huddle on the pillar until the entire room was flooded with ping pong balls.

Carl blinked at Ellie's answer, a puzzled frown appearing on his face. "What do you mean? Isn't this where that other door lead?" He asked, glancing around again and this time noticing that there was no door in sight, which also made no sense. "Where did you guys come in?" He added to clarify, looking back at the two of them with a calm, if somewhat hurried expression on his face, the mere strangeness of this room made it all too possible for something more dangerous to start happening, and even if he wasn't technically sure this wasn't all in his head he didn't really have time to claw through abstract calculations at the moment.

"Sometimes they help." Corbin replied with a glance. At least he wasn't in danger of being shot. "And we haven't found a door yet, the one we came through disappeared." Scanning the room with one arm held up to shield his face, Corbin struggled to come up with the next step in the plan. "You see that pillar?" He asked finally, pointing with his other arm. "I think we can make that jump, and it's taller than this one. We might be able to do that all the way to the ceiling."
