Chamomile felt there was tension in the air between her and Noctin since it was a hard topic to discuss. She was tempted to rip her rags and ropes off to make it seem she was fine. After all that would have been a good thing to do even if was a bit risky when she blinked back intoher world and she just denied help from someone she had rarely spoke with. "Yeah, I'm doing just fine for now, they're giving us food, water, and a cave to stay in. I'm not sure what they want to do with me but I'm willing to guess it has to do the dragons who captured me in the beginning." She informed the desolate in a more, less pained tone.
It could be possible that Naegi's hope was starting to rub off on Noctin or he was mostly reserved to himself while in the house. "Even if that's how it is where I'm from, how are you? Do you need me to heal anything?"

(Oh, they might as well go back to the living room, that seems like as good a door as any. ) And then, very suddenly, Sherlock found that the rough dirt floor had turned into elderly green carpet, his arms flew out to catch himself and he rolled once before flopping to a halt, breathing hard, tiny cuts and smudged of mud all over his face and clothes. "There, you see? I was right." He said, getting to his feet and looking quite proud of himself. "The hole was on the ground, and very possible, but difficult, to reach." Ghost recognized the sudden blindness of his sensors and stuck his paws out as the dirt became carpet under his feet. He almost face planted, but managed a flip to land standing up facing back at the now solid wall he had apparently just emerged from. "But what if we had run forward, and not back?" Ghost asked, incredulous. "We could have gone anywhere, but just happened to choose that specific hole. There's a good chance that exit only existed because we had no alternative." The shepherd stopped, still trying to manage all the possible alternatives that were coming up in his calculations. "We've been assuming there is only ever one exit, I would now hypothesize that there are multiple possibilities." (I love how Sherlock and Ghost within a few months of being in the House are already deeply theorizing on how it works, where it took some of the first characters ages to get to that point XD Also, do we want to lump all the living room characters together or should Ghost ignore Noctin and Chamomile? )

Ikr, Sherlock has someone to theorize with now. And they can interact if they want, Sherlock is unlikely to pay anyone else any attention on his own. )
This theory had, in fact, occurred to Sherlock before now, but he had been leaning towards a different one. "There's also the possibility that there isn't a set exit at all." The consulting detective added, watching the machine attentively, almost humorously. Everyone else had brushed off his many speculations, Noctin- Sherlock noticed suddenly that the boy was also in the room, but didn't pay this much mind besides the usual searching glance- had seemed to be annoyed by his comments, though this was probably more due to the praise he had expressed towards the House than his actual opinions. "There may, in fact, be no door leading out until the House chooses to place one, which would explain why it's always been possible to find. From my observations, it seems there's always a challenge in the room that only gets harder and usually more chaotic until the visitors solve it, opening the door, but whenever it becomes impossible it get back where you started, the door and the challenge are possible to get to from wherever you end up." Sherlock was looking rather excited now, staring down at Ghost with a strange, intense light in his blue eyes.

Ghost shot Sherlock an exasperated look. "You essentially paraphrased what I said earlier." He pointed out and repeated, ""It's hardly a stretch to assume that the exit is without a predetermined location." I assume you were distracted at the time." The shepherd added. " But at least we've reached a commonality in our hypotheses."

Flandre blinked in near the bickering pair, looking around and squeezing a teddy bear close to her chest. This place again? It has been a while since last time, and she had thought maybe she had made it up. The vampire girl stayed quiet, honestly wanting to just sink away into the floor and disappear.

At least they were keeping her alive. Though whether that was better or worse, he wasn't sure. She didn't look hurt. Physically, at least. She sounded scared...
It was frustrating. He had set things far bigger than himself into motion in his world, but he couldn't do anything about anyone else's, no matter how unjust the situation. Rubbing the hilt of his dagger, he glanced over at Sherlock and Ghost who had just come in. Great.
Ignoring them, he turned back to Chamomile. "I hope things work out and that you can get out unharmed," he said sincerely. "If you see an escape you should take it. It... usually pays off in the long run." Hopefully her escape from her captors could be done with a little more grace than he had with his own. It would be best if she didn't have to kill anybody.
Her questions snapped him out of his thoughts. "Hm? Oh." Things were changing at what seemed like a breakneck pace in his world. He hadn't expected his idea to work, and yet here he was. It made him nervous, but he was still determined. He had a goal and he intended to reach it no matter the cost. "I'm good. And no, no I don't need anything healed," he added with a slight laugh. "Thank you though. And thank you for healing Naegi. I- I wasn't thinking straight when he got hurt. I'm glad you were there and I'm sorry for yelling at you. I owe you." Especially since it was technically a life debt. If she ever needed anything- anything at all- he would do it.

"Who do you think you are, talkin' to me like that? You think you're my f--kin' dad, or something?!"
"N-no, I wasn't--!"
"F--K you!"
He punched me...
Naegi blinked in, body thrown backwards by the sheer force of the gang leader's hit, landing on the floor with a dull thud.
...and I flew back in a heap.
He could barely move, except for the occasional twitch of a finger. The boy felt very detached from his body, as if it wasn't really his anymore.
It was like something straight out of a comic book.
His vision swam before him, darkness creeping in at the corner of his eyes, threatening to overtake him. His consciousness was fading away, and he could do nothing except struggle to breathe there on the ground, the very world around him drifting away from his grasp. There was nothing he could do. In fact... he didn't seem to notice that he blinked in.
I didn't even see the punch coming. It was just right there in my face.
Despite the fact that he was, very clearly, going to pass out from the pain that throbbed through his face and spread to the back of his head, his monologue was relatively calm. Maybe it was because this was merely a stress reactant.
One second I was standing there, the next I was soaring through the air.
Maybe it was because this was familiar to him, being on the brink of consciousness like this.
Now that I think about it, I guess I kinda forgotten...
Or maybe it was just comforting to take his mind off the agony this way.
...the kind of people I'd been trapped here with.
As his mind whirled, he began to gave into the dizzying darkness that clawed at his consciousness, allowing himself to fall limp, eyes flutter shut, and...
My common sense had just... stopped functioning. Being around all these talented people had blown my fuses.
And, finally...
So I guess I shouldn't be surprised it led to something as absurd as this. But I'd just... lost that sense of reality.
...pass out.

(Sorry, really poofy >_< )
As he waited for Sherlock to formulate a reply, Ghost's ears pricked up at the sound of another person blinking in nearby. He glanced over to see the small vampire girl again and his eyes narrowed a bit, watching her carefully. Their first encounter had ended up with Kanna getting chomped on, and he was still wary. She didn't seem to notice him though

"Did you really say that?" Sherlock frowned, surprised at himself, though he supposed in the general fast-paced chaos he had simply deleted this bit of conversation. Glancing around, he noticed more people had blinked in since he'd last last glanced up, the same person who had gotten stabbed in a fight before and a little girl he didn't know. "Fascinating thing, the House." He mused aloud, looking back at the robotic dog. "You've met her?" He added, interrupting his own thought process as he noticed Ghost watching Flandre.

"–is it, Megaman! Face me and my power!" Bass snarled with a vicious smirk as he blinked into the house. Aiming his Bass Buster, he chuckled darkly as he quickened his pace...only to accidentally trip over the unconscious Naegi. Startled, he attempted to hold back a confused yelp, as he unintentionally activated his weapon, causing it to spew purple orbs of energy at the wall. Sending a glare at the boy, the robot was ready to yell at him. Much to his chagrin, he quickly realized the boy wasn't moving. Is he 'dead'? Quickly recognizing him, Bass jabbed a finger against Naegi's cheek, hoping he could somehow wake him up. "Hey, human. Get up already." He growled impatiently, "Are you dead or sleeping? Hurry up and tell me!"

Ghosts eyes shifted back to the detective. "A few times. The first left an impression." He raised an eyebrow, recalling the event again. "In case you were unaware, she isn't human." Someone yelling caught the shepherd's attention and he turned to see a ridiculously clad figure poking at boy lying on the ground. " ... "

Naegi had been unconscious for a good while now, long enough for him to start waking back up.
And, of course, the first thing he felt was something long and metallic jabbing at his cheek.
"Mm...?" His voice was soft, light green eyes fluttering open slightly. The world before him was still blurry, and there seemed to be a fuzzy black silhouette above him--
Oh, god, his face hurt. And it was only made worse by the poking.
"Ow...!" The boy cried, tilting his head away from Bass' touch. Glancing back over, he saw the robot who had joined him in the masquerade room. "...Um, I'm not dead. At least, I don't think I am..." Anything could happen in this place. That much was abundantly clear.
Sitting up with a groan, Naegi rubbed his aching head, now taking in this robot's ridiculous getup more closely. "You're, uh..." He never caught his name before, had he? "...We met before, right?"
His head was still whirling, though it wasn't enough to completely disrupt his focus.

(Sorry! I was going to post this earlier but got distracted. XP )
"Mew Mew!" A cheerful noise sounded through the room as a pink creature slightly resembling a cat blinked in floating mid air. In arms it was holding a small box, the lid open and music coming from within. When it stopped making sound, the creature simply cocked it's head, letting out another "Mew?". No longer distracted by the toy, it's blue eyes began to wonder around the room. "Mew?" This wasn't the place it had just been at. However, instead of being nervous or afraid, the creature, or more simply Mew, seemed more curious then anything. It began to floated around the area to get a better look at others nearby. When it spotted a person in a weird outfit standing over another laying on the ground, Mew slowly lowered itself so it was peeking over Bass' shoulder.
