Sherlock made a small, huffy noise. "If we're assuming that the House is sentient, or controlled by a sentient being or beings, than there's only so many reasons for them to have had to bring us here, which narrow down to two probables, one, research, and two, entertainment. I can tell from the appearance of the house itself that it's imitating a rustic building of something at least similar to my world, which is interesting by the way because there are so many other worlds to choose from, why earth? Well, it could have been random, but I dislike leaving much to luck, so the creatures it brings here must be made to live in a world similar enough to work, of course there may be more than one of these Houses, but that doesn't matter much right now. Based off what I've seen so far the being or beings enjoys a good laugh, so I'd say entertainment is the more probable of the two, now, if that's true the exit is likely possible, but difficult, to get to using our surroundings or powers, and we can tell from all of this that the escape is likely either on the ground or in a reachable spot above." The detective took a deep breath, looking quite pleased with himself. He had been dying to spill this thought process to someone, but of course no one in his own world would get it and hardly anyone here would listen. He looked at Ghost, wondering what his response would be.

(Tfw its canon for your character to be rude >_< I feel like I need to appologize or something )
Ghost turned to passively watch Sherlock until he was finished speaking. "Your logic is based almost entirely upon assumptions." The shepherd pointed out, unimpressed. "You are basing your entire theorum on the hypothesis that the House is an entity within a finite beings' comprehension and linguistic abilities. We are somehow magically teleported to and from an unknown location that both simultaneously ignores and obeys the laws of physics in our common universe, and then not only seems to possess an intelligence, but does so without any observable sensory pathways. Please, define to me what 'entertainment' means for such an entity, or what it could possibly learn from us when it is able to mimic our worlds and environments so perfectly. Who is to say this isn't simply how our processors, technical or biological, are interpreting a landscape we can't even being to comphrehend?" Ghost shook his head. "There are currently too many variables in your formula to create a viable theory." He stepped to the side as an acorn slammed into the ground next to him and rolled away. Another one bounced off the nearby tree root with a dull thunk. "Regardless." The bot added. "I believe our time in this little pocket of reality is growing short."

XD RPing Sherlock has given me plenty of experience with that, rudeness is his second language. )
Sherlock listened, looking somewhere between offended and impressed. "Well, all logic is based somewhat on assumptions, isn't it." He answered impatiently once the dog had finished. "Oh, I doubt I'm capable of understanding the House entirely, frustratingly enough even the most highly disciplined and intelligent human mind must have its limits, and this is so advanced at least for now it's above even me." He shook his head, looking annoyed. "But I don't think my logic is quite as worthless as you're making it out to be, based simply on observations and probability. From what I can tell, the rooms are designed to test our reactions, if they are in fact designed. Honestly, this isn't really my area, I'm not a philosopher I'm a detective. My rules obviously don't apply here properly." He might have said more, but was suddenly knocked over by a large leaf and scrambled to his feet a moment later, bits of dirt and leaves caught in his black curls. "I would wager, though, that whether or not the House is alive it will hurt just as much if I'm smashed. Come on!" And he turned and began to walk.

(I'm here! Let's get this room moving XD
>> Harle, that's so exciting ^^ Hope you get to meet your new brother soon )
Ghost remained silent, having already presented his thoughts on the subject. He didn't have to argue a point to prove it was correct, it would eventually work itself out one way or another. He vaulted another leaf and shot a glance into the sky. "We need to find shelter, or the exit." The shepherd's voice was calmer than it should have been. In the sky, the branches of the tree were swaying in a strong breeze and hundreds of oversized leaves and acorns were beginning to fall

What if there was some sort of reflux from the whole 'two houses' thing, and although the older characters can see and hear everyone, the newbie's can't see or hear any of the older members? Like they're existing in the same place on different planes? That way everyone who didn't want to do a new character could still rp like normal (or whatever amount to normal when there's a bunch of clueless people running around XD )

( >>Dusk Sort of? If you've ever seen any stories that use the 'shadow realm' type idea, its similar to that. Where there's an exact copy of the world layered over the original, and although the original can see everything, the people existing on the copy can only see what's in their own little reality.
>> Lark it would still be the two characters active at a time rule, but since newbie events don't count towards your permanent roster, you don't have to switch anyone out on your list (unless you would like to add a bit about your newbie so we know who it is, but they wont replace your 'actual' characters ) )

(I'd like to possibly use it to test out a new character or two. See if I actually want them on my roster or not.)
