"Hard to say, but very interesting question," said Myrnin. He tilted his head back. While he had considered what Kelsier had said about his world, he would have to admit that as usual there was only so much which could be done with it. It was the House. Go figure. "I think I like it on some occasions," Myrnin said. "It's ... a group of people. The House, you understand. The ones in it are what make it something to like and it doesn't get boring with so many sorts inside of it. But the House itself? As a being?" Myrnin's face was grim. "I don't trust it. Not even a little. I don't know what it wants, not really. But it's very cruel. To the head. To my knowledge, people don't stay dead in the House. They just don't. But that's what makes it worse." It was those sorts of things which made it hard for Myrnin to really accept the House as something he liked. "It kills you. Brings you back. Makes you kill your friends. Watch them die. You're constantly avoiding the pain. Sometimes you can help others, but you're always unable to do anything to really change what happens in their world. Only rarely. Only very rarely. It's complicated. How to help is always so much harder than how to hurt." He shook his head. "What about you?" A theory sharing session seemed ... useless for the time being. Not after that. He waved a hand toward the hallway.

"Do what you like!" Arthur said over his shoulder, eyeing Vincent very briefly. There wasn't a lot to be said about the inappropriately stiff blond other than the fact that he was the only one around. Sadly, that made him the only pick for whatever was going on here. Arthur supposed that even a gruff man like him was possibly going to produce some sort of insight. "What do you think about ...?" asked Arthur, only nodding toward the hallway and the doors that he could see lining it by way of explanation. Vincent chuckled to himself, pleased at how easily Arthur was getting worked up. He folded his hands behind his back and began to the trail the other blinker, given that he hadn’t been denied an invitation to join him. The blond’s eyes moved from Arthur to the hallway doors, then back to Arthur as the alchemist pointed them out. The question earned a brief look of slack confusion, his eyebrows together after a moment - smirking skeptically. “Are you offering to do a room?” He asked somewhat impatiently, still seeming perplexed by the conversation’s sudden change of pace, though choosing his words cautiously to avoid walking into some kind of trap. He wasn’t entirely sure what Arthur was asking him, particularly since he’d thought the man’s intention had been to go into a room all along. "'Do a room?'" Arthur said, sounding a bit nonplussed. "That's a very weird way of phrasing it." He stepped toward a door and pushed it open. He entered before taking a proper look at what he was doing. It was just in and finding himself ... What the heck? He turned in the middle of the room, nose scrunching in complete confusion and also frustration. It was his laboratory. It was his shop! He was standing right at the edge of it, having entered through the door where his room and sleeping courters were. It was just ... his place ... Was this a dream? That would be so idiotic. A construct gone wrong? Nothing was different. There was a random assortment of flasks and other working material and everything made sense. Nothing he'd just left had. "What in God's name?" He turned around again. (Watch me wing this room. Feel free to join me.)

Kelsier listened, his expression serious, as Myrnin spoke. What he said...it made sense. It was surprisingly similar to what Kel himself thought of the place. Not exactly the same, but similar. He wondered what else Myrnin had seen in this place. What had happened to him. It didn’t yet occur to him to wonder what he’d had to do, but it would, with time. He just hadn’t gotten there yet. He looked at the vampire, his hazel eyes dark and serious, his expression missing its usual smile. What about him? Well, that was a little hard to answer, wasn’t it? “Honestly? I hate it.” He said bluntly. “It takes people and it toys with them and it hurts them, and then it makes them do it again. It puts them in terrible situations and doesn’t respect them, and it hurts people who can’t fight back.” He paused, then nodded, because that fit his understanding of the House. “I’ve never seen anyone stay dead.” He mused. “And I’ve died a fair number of times myself, too.” He was lucky people didn’t stay dead. He knew just how lucky, too. He didn’t mention it. He focused on Myrnin, his eyes searching. “And if I said I planned to destroy it?” He asked, his voice suddenly very quiet and very intense. “All of it. Take the whole thing down, so no one ever goes through what we have. Or if they do, at least it’s not because of this place.” He’d never voiced that before. Never mentioned it, not to anyone. Until now, anyway.

Hange | Museum room | ®Hawkpath® strider |Quincy paused at Nico's question, raising a finger to their chin in contemplation. "Everywhere, I suppose," they said, and then blinked, seeming to clear that line of thought from their head. "Oh, you like those masks, do you? They're very beautiful, aren't they?" "Yes, beautiful," said Hange somewhat impatiently, moving closer and tilting their head to inspect Quincy. "Hmmm...you look very human, don't you? Smell human, too...but you're not a blinker - they don't seem like a blinker, do they?" they asked, turning to the other two. "This is a House generated entity, is it not?"

Myrnin | Dog Sanctuary by Mint hurt herself | <Raintalon> "Yeah, the dogs are probably Ghoul Girl and Vamp eaters," he said. He flopped down on the grass though, holding out his hands to the corgi. The little, excited dog came right over, sniffing at his fingers. He's said what he'd said as a joke - a grim one at that. Knowing the House, it might not stay a joke. But as he looked at the dog the little smile he had faded a little. He coaxed the dog, who seemed willing enough, onto his lap. Then he hugged it very gently. Sadly. "I thought she ran away, you know. The dog. Pferd. It was a couple months before me and Arthur ... well ... we parted ways. Now I have her and the House just likes reminding me that I don't have him. Or any other person I've lost. They can come back for a visit, but they're not actually there. He's in a time I can't reach anymore and ... it's one I shouldn't reach. It's like looking into a tunnel as two trains go by in opposite directions. Sure, there's plenty of compartments that line up and windows to see into ... but they're still going in a different direction than you. And there's a lot of other people in my world that feel like that too." He petted at the dog's head. "Sometimes it's the House that feels real and not my world. I have more friends here than there. And the ones I have there are trains moving away ..." He wasn't talking to Touka anymore and he seemed to realize that after a second. He blinked several times. More than that. Saw the dog as a different dog. As the one that was here and not the one from a past that the House had made him relive. And the fact that he'd just really made too much on his mind into words. He liked this room. Why had he said all of that? "I want to see if they'll play fetch," he said very suddenly, scooping the little corgi off of his lap gently and placing it back on the ground. He stood, stretched, and not looking at Touka hurriedly took several steps in the direction of the nearest toy he could see. He didn't need anyone but the small dog to see that his eyes were a touch red.

Kelsier could tell Nico was edging towards him and he gave the boy a quick smile before looking at Quincy again. They didn’t seem like a blinker, he had to admit. They seemed to be a House generated person. The other blinker seemed to have come to the same conclusion, and he nodded once to them, narrowing his eyes slightly as they continued. He didn’t speak for a moment, just glanced at Nico again and then turned to Quincy with a smile. “Why not ask?” He said lightly, nodding to the House person. “Quincy, right? Are you a blinker or a House person?”

Myrnin honestly considered him, but his expression was almost unreadable. It was a bit pensive, like he was in deep thought, but that was about all it was so far. Then he grinned and held out a hand. "Care for some help from a mad scientist, per chance?" He sounded just a touch amused with himself, but his eyes were serious. He didn't mind the idea of destroying the House, per se. He didn't think it was possible, but he certainly didn't mind causing chaos and making it have just a bit more issues. Getting back at the House? He was all for that. Maybe finding a bit more information while they were at it? It couldn't hurt. Better than that, it might actually help. "Anything you have in mind to start?" Myrnin asked, raising his eyebrows. "Like ... we've tried burning it a couple times. It doesn't really stick. Or is this still the planning stage. Because I am certainly very down for the planning stage." He rubbed his hands together, grinning just a little more as he did. He got that what Kelsier said was serious. And he wanted to help. To see where it would go.

Kelsier watched the other blinker for a long moment, waiting for a reaction. He didn’t know what to expect, honestly. He didn’t know Myrnin terribly well yet, and he hadn’t even mentioned his plan to Nico yet. It hadn’t really come up. So when Myrnin grinned, he actually looked surprised. Then he grinned back. “I would love some.” He replied, taking the hand held out to him and inclining his head in a short bow. “Two heads are better than one, as they say.” He really did appreciate the idea of help. He was good at handling things alone, but a crew had usually been a part of things one way or another, and he certainly didn’t mind the idea. Besides that, he may not have met Myrnin more than a few times, but he very much liked the other man, and even trusted him a bit, in spite of having been killed by him. No hard feelings about that, really. He blamed the House if he blamed anyone, and he understood that it hadn’t been Myrnin, not really. Besides, who was he to judge? He listened intently, nodding a bit as Myrnin spoke. “Still very much in the planning stage, I’m afraid.” He admitted. “But whatever this thing is, I don’t believe it’s invincible. I won’t believe that. Giving up is what gives it power over us, but if we can even inconvenience it a bit, that’s a step in the right direction.” He was actually excited at the idea now. Getting back at the House was one thing, but with help? Especially Myrnin’s help? Now that was something.

"Great!" said Myrnin, looking happy about this particular situation. He hadn't actually let go of Kelsier's hand yet and the reason for why became apparent after a second or so of having it. His grin widened and he leaned backward, stepping in the direction of the hallway. "Let's start working out a plan then! You haven't been here as long. There are some pretty interesting things going on, let me tell you. But there's a lot of new things we can try. Any thoughts on how to work out more about the House? I've tried sticking things under the doors before." He grinned a bit, pleased with himself at the prospect. "Though that didn't produce as many results as I would have liked. Is there anything you have experienced in the rooms before? The House has talked to the blinkers, how about that?" He grinned some more. "Want to try a room?"

"Looking for youuuuuuuu," Myrnin pointed out. Then waved goofily at Vincent as he said, "Hey Vice!" He had little intention of using his actual name, and anyway, Juuzou wasn't. Which pleased him. Though he wondered what ways this little ghoul hunter had of working out who Myrnin was. The goofy grin he had sent to Vincent laxed a little. Was there anything in his mind that might give him a toe-hold in this little dance of his? "So teleportation?" he asked. "Only limited to a place you can see, yes?" Or perhaps where he'd been before? If there were limitations to Myrnin's own powers, it was that he could only read what was on a person's mind at the moment. It wasn't the invasive, all encompassing technique he naturally possessed (but refused to use). So he couldn't dig around in Juuzou's brain to see why he hunted ghouls or what other details he was missing. Unfortunate, but still useful. "I've met a new friend here," he said, waving to Juuzou. "He picked a power too. As for what I'm doing more specifically, why were you moving away? Just so I had to chase you?" He was talking to Vince, but his attention was still on Juuzou - specifically his thoughts. Vincent kept his hands in his pockets, chin lifted proudly as Myrnin waved. He lifted an eyebrow as the vampire questioned his new ability, not bothering trying to mask his smirk. He glanced around the area, letting his smile fall into a look of disappointment. “Don’t try and dissect my fun,” he scowled the vampire in a lofty tone. The vampire’s new ability would assure him that he was right, of course, but the man didn’t seem like he’d be too wounded that he’d been figured out. He wasn’t planning on running far from the action - not that he thought he could. He assumed Myrnin could tail him just about anywhere if he wanted to. His gaze followed the gesture towards Juuzou, staring blankly in greeting. He scoffed as Myrnin went on, turning his attention back to him. “Don’t be egotistical, Myrnin,” he mused in response. He found the vampire chasing him to be similar to a stray mutt, begging for attention, but his internal dialogue wouldn’t deny that he’d been expecting it - feeding into it even. A gentle look of surprise crossed his features as Juuzou disappeared, and in an instant the man was standing at the opposite side of the vampire - just out of arms reach and ready to vanish at any moment. He leaned forward slightly, hands now folded behind him as he smirked at the other blinker. “What...exactly...are you accomplishing by keeping such a keen eye on me?” "Aw gee," Myrnin said in disappointment when Juuzou blinked out. Then his attention fell on Vincent ... Weeeeeeeeell. "I don't know what I'm going to accomplish," he said with a small yawn. "Guess, Vice Mice. I'm not exactly ... predictable ... am I?" He raised and eyebrow and let his lips curl. "Neither are you, for that matter. I've just been seeing what your baiting was supposed to accomplish, perhaps. Maybe I'm interested in seeing what you're up to or what chaos you think you're going to cause." He let his jaws part in a yawn, his fangs snapping down. "Also, just so you're aware ... do you have friends? At all? One would think you would enjoy ... company ... on your little outing. Something to play mind-games with. You'd be great at chess I expect. But no, seriously, do you have any friends? I'm just asking." He glanced around. "Anyway, anyway ... the reason I'm following you around like a lost puppy -" he said it as an off-hand statement with no connection to Vincent's thoughts - and he didn't seem to might or rise to the comparison "-is that I don't know what this room does. And there is a far stronger chance to find out if you're around." And I want to work out if there's a chink in that armor of yours that I can exploit too, Vice Mice.

Kelsier followed, allowing himself to be pulled toward the hallway, He listened eagerly, nodding as Myrnin spoke. Having someone who had been around a little longer than he had was a good thing, certainly. There were things he had no way of knowing, after all, things that could prove to be the thing that made him succeed. “Sticking things under the door.” He repeated thoughtfully. “I like that. What happened?” He assumed it hadn’t been too impressive, or Myrnin would have built up the suspense a little more. Then Myrnin confirmed it and he nodded, shrugging. “Too bad. Still, the only way to find out what works is to try things, right?” He considered for a moment, trying to think of things he’d seen that might help. Only to stop a moment later to stare as Myrnin continued. “It has?” He demanded, catching up to the vampire, his hazel eyes very interested now. “Now that, I didn’t know. When was that? Does anyone know why? What did it say?” He was letting himself get a little carried away and he knew it, but stopping was easier said than done. He did rein himself enough to nod, a mischievous expression coming over his hawk-like features. “Let’s see what the House thinks of our plan.” He agreed, grinning as he entered the hall. “Let’s see whether it tries to dissuade us.”

"Does that imply you want to try a room to see if it provokes us?" Myrnin asked with curiosity. He chuckled a fair bit. "That's brave of you," he said. Not just Kelsier who was brave, mind. He was mostly just referring to the fact that things in the House were crazy on a good day, so baiting the House was actually amusing. "Also when I stuck a pen under the door, it cute the pen in half," he explained with a shrug. Then raised a finger. "I have not tried sticking any ... say ..." he pointed at his finger "flesh and blood or the like, but that's for a time where I'm confident I could reattach it in time." He glanced around a bit. "Um. Yes! Yes, the House has talked before. Sometimes through letters, but I'm fairly sure it did so verbally before." He tapped at his chin. "It ... usually does that during really serious rooms. It can give us ... hints to what it is. But it's always never helpful. And whether it is or isn't that is always up for debate." He tapped a finger against one of the door. "There's a lot to be said about the mystery of the House. You have a hard time being sure what is and is not real about it."

| Loki | Outside the Lodge | Loki's surroundings changed from the warm golden light of Asgard to the bright coldness of a snowy landscape. They narrowed their green eyes, squinting against the sunlight reflected off the snow as they got their bearings. A bit of a slope, and pine trees at one side, slowly slopes on the other. They got the feeling that this was probably the House. Taking a step in a random direction, they noted that the snow came up halfway to their knees- not terribly deep but rather inconvenient to trudge through.

Myrnin | Outside the Lodge Myrnin appeared a couple yards away and promptly tipped over to face plant in the snow. "Heeeeeeeeello snow?" he said to the snow. Or rather, "ellug neww?" since his mouth at once became full of the stuff. He pushed himself back up, spitting out what was left of the flakes, and then brightened instantly when he saw Loki. "Hey!" he said. "You got snowed in too? This is the lodge I think. It's always snowy here. Do you have holidays? Like ... snowy holidays? You better have something, otherwise that would be sad. Holidays that is. Doesn't have to be snow related." He was blabbering. Clearly excited about seeing his friend.

| Loki | Outside the Lodge with Myrnin | Loki returned the grin at the sight of the other eccentric fellow- Myrnin was interesting, and they figured if they were going to be here it might as well be interesting rather than boring. "Just blinked in- to wherever here is." They answered, gesturing to the wintery wilderness around them. Ah, the Lodge. They'd been there before, if only briefly. As Myrnin rambled seemingly whatever came to mind, they glanced off towards the pine forest. The place was eerily still- no rustling of birds in the boughs or any of the usual wildlife that one might expect to see in the forest. "Yes, we have holidays. As if my world needed more excuses for noisy feasts." They answered with an eyeroll. "As for winter holidays we have Yule. What about your world?"

Myrnin | Outside the Lodge with Loki| "Depends on where you are," Myrnin said, at least directing his chatter to a specific location. "Also depending on religion and specific purpose of celebration. Or also lack of religion. It can just be a snowy holiday." He rubbed at his chin. "Christmas? That's the one that I do." He then blinked several times at Loki and asked, "What sort of not-nosy celebrations would you prefer?" There was the whole situation where they were in the middle of the woods. "Don't suppose you freeze in snow, do you?" he asked. He was asking for himself honestly ... because he did. Thus far he wasn't doing that, but he'd have to be a bit careful about the whole thing. No Myrnin-cicles. "And idea where the you want to go?"

| Loki | Outside the Lodge with Myrnin | "Mm." They hummed at Myrnin's answer, then considered his question. "Well, I do like the fancy food. And there's storytelling, which can either be fascinating or grating, depending on who's doing it." "I don't have to worry about petty concerns such as the weather." Loki answered with a haughty toss of their head. Honestly, they never even really got cold, let alone getting close to freezing to death. "You said the lodge is around here somewhere, yes?" Loki clarified. They couldn't see any buildings from here, but with the hills it could easily be tucked away somewhere. They angled their head towards the top of the slope they were standing on. "Perhaps we can spot it from a higher vantage point."

Myrnin | Outside the Lodge with Loki "What sort of food?" Myrnin asked with curiosity. Then he angled his head toward the top of the slope. At once he started slogging in that direction, glancing back at Loki as he went. "Come on then!" He didn't want to test his own freezing abilities. Just because Loki couldn't didn't mean that the vampire wanted to have them drag him along. "Alsooooooooo do you ever tell any of the stories?" he asked, tilting his head to the side and spinning around so he was walking backward. "It sounds interesting." He pointed behind his own shoulder in the direction of where they were hoping to get a vantage point. "If the weather isn't a petty concern, do you like Winter?"

Rue | Lodge | Sandalphon, Vincent, Myrnin “Oh.” Rue said, because there wasn’t a lot of other things she could think to say to that. Besides the million questions crowding her brain, anyway. Oh. Yeah, her fingers were oddly stiff. And her body was feeling a bit slow. So that was a new and interesting thing she was experiencing today. She glanced back at Vincent. She couldn’t help being curious about how he and Myrnin were related. She was pretty sure they were flirting. But she didn’t have any context. It seemed mutual. Were they dating? She didn’t know Vincent at all, so that was what she was leaning towards. She also was tempted to sing, but she felt a bit self conscious about it, and she didn’t know the song, anyway. So she didn’t. She did glance at Vincent again. Well...if Myrnin trusted him, then he couldn’t be too bad, right?

| Loki | Outside the Lodge with Myrnin | "A lot of the regular stuff, just fancier. Roasted meats, smoked fish. Skyr yogurt sweetened with honey and berries- that's one of my favorites." Loki answered, starting to trudge through the snow along with Myrnin towards the top of the hill. A gust of wind blew snowy powder across the hills, catching the sunlight. This place truly was beautiful, Loki mused, taking in what the House had created. It was fascinating. "Sometimes. Most everyone tells stories, either of their own creation or deeds, while others are well versed in sagas and folk tales." Loki answered. They'd always enjoyed hearing tales of ancient magic, old kingdoms, and the like. "Winter? I do. If it weren't for the freezing situation, would you?" Loki asked. And for once they were being surprisingly truthful. The longer nights brought with them clear, cold views of the stars, and frostiness of the air was crisp to them, never cold. As the pair crested the hill, the lodge could be seen nestled in among some pine trees, smoke curling from the chimney invitingly. Loki had been inside briefly, but they'd never come up to it from the outside. "It appears we've found out destination."

Sandalphon turned his head forward once again and let out a audible 'hmph', finding the very idea of joining in unthinkable. "Hardly. It would be unbefitting for me to act in such a ridiculous manner." He said nonchalantly, seeming to dismiss the concept altogether right there and then. Shortly after, however, his eyes wondered towards the ground as he walked. Singing... Before that day, how long ago was it since he'd last done such a thing? Coming up with that song with everyone after their hard won victory, while entirely spur of the moment and looking back, very embarrassing, it had also been... rather pleasant. When the Primarch again cast his red irised gaze sideways upon hearing the other blinker introduce himself, the corner of his own mouth was, ever subtly, tugging upwards. Returning an introduction his own, his voice betrayed nothing. "Sandalphon." He saw Vincent's extended hand, but was noticably hesitant to turn and properly return the gesture, a fleeting expression of guilt crossing his features. Once again, a memory had been brought to the forefront of his mind. This one was of the more... remorseful sort, and sometimes made handshakes slightly awkward. The occasional light teasing about that period of time from the crew didn't help to assuage those feelings either. Regardless, Sandalphon quickly pushed his reservations aside to reciprocate the gesture. The other blinker's skin was cold, not emitting the level of warmth that a mortal body should, his huddled posture serving to making the fact obvious. Did the rest of the group feel that way too? But were simply better at not showing it? The current means of heat must not be enough. "Hmm. Maybe if I condense a bit of elemental energy into a physical form instead..." He mused, bringing both hands together near his flame in thought. That might work. It would produce even more heat, and expend much less energy than a constantly maintained blaze.Any semblance of quiet planning shattered thanks to Fashion Disaster's wailing in the background. The singing had turned into white noise by this point, but now he was straight up shouting. "'Mice?'" The Primarch repeated, flashing a mildly puzzled side glance towards Vincent. "A... Uh, nickname of yours, I presume?" He let out a humored puff. "Either way, it seems someone desires your participation. Are you going to disappoint him?"

Nico watched Quincy carefully, making sure he was closer to Kelsier than anyone else in the room. At least if a fight broke out for some reason, he knew that Kelsier wouldn’t go after him. “Yes,” he murmured softly, watching Quincy through narrowed eyes. “The masks remind me of the place I grew up.” He glanced at Kelsier then, his hand twitching towards his sword. “They don’t feel alive,” he murmured softly, quietly enough that Quincy couldn’t hear him, even if Hange could. “I don’t… I don’t think they’re a blinker. And if they are, they’re certainly a very odd one.” He hoped that wasn’t rude, but it was the truth. And… well, Hange wasn’t alive either, but at least Nico was used to vampires. He wasn’t used to whatever Quincy was, even if they seemed nice. Eventually, he stepped forward. “So… Quincy… what’s your favorite part of this room?” Might as well try to trigger the trap sooner rather than later, when they might get more tired out from wandering around.

“Something like that.” Kelsier raised an eyebrow, his expression playful as he watched the vampire. “I’m curious to see whether it retaliates. No doubt it already knows what I’m thinking so there’s no use hiding it, but if it strikes back, maybe it thinks I can kill it. If it fears for its life, then it can be killed.” He dipped his head a bit dramatically. “Of course, it could just be toying with me. I know that.” He continued, and his expression shifted slightly, just a little more serious. “I believe it has to be possible to take it down. I refuse to believe that it’s untouchable. But I know it won’t be easy.” He paused, then laughed. “Don’t tempt me. I’m pretty sure I need all my fingers.” He said, grinning as he considered the door. The problem with destroying the House was that he didn’t know whether this...this building, this thing...he didn’t know whether that was its body, where it really was. And if it wasn’t, then destroying this place wouldn’t do any good at all. It would just make the heart most difficult to reach. He looked at Myrnin again. “Certainly.” He agreed. “It’s an enigma. The problem with trying to burn it down, for example, is that I don’t know whether that would actually hurt it. This may just be the maze we’re running through, not the House itself.” He spun, letting the tassels of his cloak fly out around him, then he stopped, hand on a door. When he looked at Myrnin again, his expression was back to its regular mischievous smile. “At any rate…let’s see what the House has to say.” And then he opened the door and walked in backwards, still smiling.

Myrnin | Outside the Lodge with Loki "Oh yes! Very nice indeed," said Myrnin, rubbing his chin. "It makes me wonder what I'll he having. I usually have no requirement to have human food, but I'm sure that I may end up somewhere for food." He seemed to be considering this, looking off to the woods. So Loki would have missed the sudden fall to his face. His friends were getting older. It was likely he *would* be invited to the festivities, but there were families that he was standing on the outside from. And lately he'd sort of ... alienated his charge, Sam. "And which are you versed in?" Myrnin asked, wiping the expression away before he looked back. "You are very ... eloquent in speech, so I am sure you create quite a tale." Myrnin crossed his arms and looked down at the lodge once they could see it. "My my my ... that was a lot easier than other times. We burned it down once, did you know?" He started racing down the hill - without vampire speed. "Come on! I'll beat you there!"

| Loki | Outside the Lodge with Myrnin | Loki took in Myrnin's glance away carefully, trying to read into what he didn't say, trying to guess what he was hiding. It was harder without knowing the context of the world in which he lived in. "And where might that somewhere be?" They prompted. "I do love a fun retelling of the old myths." Loki certainly seemed like someone who liked the sound of their own voice, who rejoiced in their own clever twisting of words and nuances of speech. "You're right, I do." Behind Myrnin there was the rapid crunch crunch crunch of Loki's footsteps before the sound suddenly cut off. A falcon whizzed past Myrnin, gliding down to the lodge on elegant wings. As it reached the base of the hill the bird flared its wings to come to a stop, and as it came down human feet alighted on the snow instead of avian. Loki turned, quirking an eyebrow at Myrnin with a mischievous grin, not at all concerned with the fact that they'd "cheated." After all, Myrnin hadn't called out any rules, per say.

"Someone ... may have destroyed the location before," Myrnin said, almost like he was picking up on Kelsier's thoughts. He at once followed Kelsier into the room, intent on sharing some information. He paused to see that it wasn't at once going to eat them. The room itself seemed to be a modern looking kitchen, but decorated for the winter holidays. There was a lot of holly and mistletoes and various other wreathes and garlands. Myrnin glanced around. It seemed a bit obvious from the cookie cutters on the counter and the mixing bowls and even the gingerbread set in the corner what this room would likely need to exit again. With that in mind, he finished his explanation, "Again. The House could be playing with us ... but it felt real. Early on - maybe when I'd been blinking in about as often as you - we were all stuck as kids. Memories wiped, in a town ... with families ... with other lives." He wasn't sure how to pitch his voice. He could still remember so much from that time that hadn't been his. "Well ... there was an odd mansion in that ... place. We might have been inside House, we might not have been. But this is one of the cases where things worked outside the rules. It happens sometimes." He shook his head, unsure how to explain. "But the mansion. It was *like* the House. At least ... it used to be. According to the one and only person left inside it. But there were ... things on the wall there. Pictures. Pictures of us and not of us. Like if you looked into a mirror. The person you're seeing isn't you. I ..." He waved at his short cropped hair that still hadn't grown back. "Different outfit, different hair style. Things like that. But the person there, one of the mirror-people ... they said they'd found a way to stop the House from working. Their House. The Mansion. And that stopped all the other versions of it." Myrnin shook his head. "We ... we started things up again. Started the House up again. Or that's what it wants us to believe." He glanced around at the room, shivered, and then pointed at the cookie cutters. "Do you know how to make Christmas cookies then? I ... don't really want to talk about then. If ... if what happened was real ... well, my alternate self died to try and stop the Mansion version of the House. There are a lot of dangers with this line of questioning." He lifted up one of the cookie cutters and added, "But, I must say ... I am curious. Always. About what the House is and does. This room seems more along the lines of not dangerous." Pointing toward Kelsier, he tacked on, "Though you're handling the oven. I'm not trusting myself anywhere near hot things that burn."

Myrnin | Outside the Lodge with Loki "Oh, likely with my apprentice Claire and her household," Myrnin said with a bit of a grin. It was like the original and gloomy thought had never crossed his mind. "I've gone a couple times before. It's very fun." On top of that, he was just glad to see that they all seemed happy. Though he had to admit that there was a lot of additional things that complicated the matter. Friends with vampires. It always made the holiday seasons a bit odd. "That is very nice indeed!" said Myrnin with a slight smile. "I remember when doing that was very popular. The style has changed a bit over the centuries, but I would say there is still a core of the original in there somewhere." The falcon may have landed at the base of the hill, but Myrnin hadn't been running for that. As soon as Loki had took flight, the vampire sped up, becoming a blur even in the snow. Not enough to outrun an eagle that had a head-start, but Myrnin whizzed right past Loki and barreled into the door, opened it, and then slammed it shut. Pressing his nose to the nearest window, he made a funny face (saying that Loki was still out there, of course.) He'd have to ask about the falcon though. Duh. He wasn't going to leave that without any answers.

| Loki | In the Lodge | As Myrnin zoomed past them in a blur instead of standing there awed like they'd expected, the smug grin was wiped off Loki's face. Clever... An intrigued smirk replaced the smug grin. In spite of what one might think, Loki was often smiling. It just usually wasn't a very nice smile. They clasped their hands behind their back and went over to the window, peering in at the vampire and the lodge behind him. It looked like the lodge they remembered. "Alright, you won this one." They conceded, assuming Myrnin could either hear them through the window or read lips. They then pulled open the door and stepped inside, green gaze quickly taking in everything they could see. | Is there anyone else in the lodge rn I should be aware of? |

Asami | Outside the lodge | @ anyone |
"What is 'coffee'?"
Tachibana Asami blinked into the Lodge, her torso human as always, her head split into its usual segments of tendrils and eyes.
The one large eye she was using to see at the moment drew back once in confusion at the sudden change in her surroundings. Instead of her house, with her two humans and their odd breakfast food, she was standing on a hill, nothing around her but white aside from what appeared to be a house behind her. Flooded with new sensations, she coiled her tendrils back, nesting herself neatly back into the shape of a human head. She then twisted her neck awkwardly to look up at the sky, staring at the white particles falling to settle neatly on her shoulders and hair.

Zuko | Lodge | anyone! Zuko was pacing, his hands balled into fists at his side, his gaze set straight forward. He was tired of this already, tired of being the banished prince, tired of the way the crew gossiped even with his uncle’s reproving gaze to keep them quiet. He was tired of looking for the Avatar when he had nowhere to start. They were fast approaching one of the air temples, and though it was possible there were clues, he doubted it would be very useful. The Avatar had disappeared a hundred years before, any clues left in the air temple were going to be long outdated. Unless they found the Avatar himself, and if they did… Zuko hadn’t even been able to win an Agni Kai, how was he supposed to win against the master of all four elements? He sighed loudly, only then opening his eyes to find himself in the House. He cast a glance at Asami, eyes narrowing a little bit as he took in her appearance. Oh well. Spirits could appear however they liked. He’d probably be killed or something for questioning it. And... well, just moments later she looked perfectly human. No reason at all to comment.
