Vincent | HG Room | CloverleafVincent held himself with his usual grace, his attitude not yet faltered by his growing disturbance with how unkempt he felt. He wanted nothing more than to wash his face and hands; but he managed to settle by picking dirt from his fingernails as they walked. He’d abandoned his jacket, now traveling with his undershirt partially unbuttoned and his sleeves rolled up - but relief from the heat left him exposed to the interest of seemingly every insect swarm they passed. With his irritation festering as he swatted away another bug from his face, he eyed Enjolras at his side in a desperate attempt to humor himself once more. “Anyone close to you show up in the sky last night?” He asked, his expression innocent. When the display of deceased blinkers had shown the night before, the man had simply laughed to himself, showing no interest in the Frenchman’s thoughts on the matter until this moment.

| Enjolras | Hunger Games Room, Morning of Day 2 | In the forest with Vincent | Rising early was easier while outdoors- one never really wanted to sleep in on the uncomfortable ground, and the sun was too bright to ignore. So despite the fact that he'd had a horrible night's sleep (Vincenct was... creepy, and he had knives), Enjolras found himself trudging through the woods with his new companion in a search for a source of water. "Glad to know that people's deaths here are a joke to you." Enjolras responded icily. He thought back to the names that had flashed in the sky. Kelsier- Enjolras hardly knew him, but a death was not something to be taken lightly. Victoria- that scruffy wolf he'd seen a few times in rooms before. She'd always been in exceedingly light spirits. And Myrnin. Probably the person that Enjolras knew the best, even if they didn't always get along. With the forest surrounding them, sunlight filtering down through the trees, it still felt removed. And in the House, dealing with the idea of death was always made complicated by the what if? Often, people came back. Still, for Enjolras, the idea that folks often came back didn't erase the fact that sometimes they didn't. Or the fact that dying was quite a horrible experience, even if it was just a trick of the House. "Yeah, I knew some of them. You did too." Enjolras commented. While he didn't exactly know what their relationship was, Enjolras knew that Myrnin and Vincent knew each other. Enjolras pushed his curls away from his face, then swiped at a mosquito buzzing by his ear. This was going to be a long room.

Vincent | HG Room | CloverleafVincent raised his eyebrows with a slight scoff as Enjolras snapped at him, biting back a grin. The other man seemed to be entertaining the idea that these deaths could be permanent, which was certainly possible, but it seemed doubtful. Irregardless, it was their deaths over his, finding some humor in the situation seemed only fair. He glanced at the man as he went on to answer his question, smirking. As far as he was aware, Enjolras had only seen him interact with one of the dead blinkers, which made his choice of words rather interesting. The blond let out a thoughtful hum, wondering what gave the impression that he could be guilted into feeling anything for the vampire’s demise. “What do you mean by that?” He asked directly after a moments pause, his tone still casual.

The fact that both of the blinkers decided (or didn't decide in Mabel's case) to bump into him didn't seem to phase Myrnin. Maybe it should have, but he was rather unprepared to make much of a response of it. "A new blinker," he said to Vincent, pointing at Mabel as if he was identifying a rare specimen. "And I like my hat. Bet you would like my hat if you were in the mood. Maybe you're not in the mood." He sniffed. He looked back at Mabel then and dipped his head. "Just a bit of magic, really. Or rather, an alternate reality called the Paradox House. Sure you'll get used to it." Then, because he was very responsible, he turned away and headed down the hallway after Vincent. Because who said he took good care of new blinkers?

"You'll fit in nicely once you get the hang of things, meet others, and stare death right in the face. Very exciting stuff, most blinkers tend to go through, er, complicated matters in their own worlds."Just like that did their polite meeting folded in half, disheartening the chattier wildclaw. "Leaving so soon?" She quirked her brow, tilting her head revealing more shimmering feathers. Salsa had no intention on letting him walk away but it was his loss if he died out there anyhow. Her curious nature had gotten her far enough to conclude that their was more to this person by the reactions provoked by Kid's comments. Still, he carried that sword of his around like if life depended on it. Maybe he was more than a mere stagehand though one could never be too sure about such trivial things. The bounty hunter begrudgingly couldn't help but twitch her tail finding Lucio's graceful moves amusing. You need someone with experience to make it through in one piece in those rooms."A real pity that would be if you were torn to shreds, y'know there's sense in having company around." She implored knowing very well what happens to arragonat newbies. Mortal, god, or both, the house had and knew every trick in the book to destroy anything it had its eyes on. "C'mon now, the more the merrier." Overall it was a bit too playful in tone yet it was best to heed the dragons words, she threw a glance at both Chamomile and Kid. Chamomile on the other hand was edging on safety watching passively as the stranger announced his leave. She edged forward offering an apologetic look shaded clouded in concern. "It's not my place to speak but I..." She paused, somehow she found herself agreeing with Salsa of all blinkers. "I would like to come along, there are few healers brought to the house every so often. Perhaps my skills could be of use in your quest." Rooms had done a number on her in the past. Allowing another to be left to their own devices within the house had been proven time and time again allies were necessary.

Myrnin's words confused Mabel. What did he mean, a new blinker? Alternate reality? Paradox house? "What? All I heard was a bunch of nonsense," she commented, following after the older blinkers. Without waiting for a response, she approached a door and opened it. "What's in here?" she wondered aloud, peeking into the darkness. Sticking her head into the door, she called, "Hello?"

Vincent | Hallway | Sησω mintedstar/fur Vincent glanced down at the girl as Myrnin called attention to her, her presence having seemingly no affect on his intentions to move through the hallway. He turned his head just enough for the vampire to see his smirk as he proceeded, offering no other response to the defense he’d made for his accessory. He didn’t slow his pace as Myrnin paused to speak to the stranger, though his stride was leisurely as he wandered - not planning on going too far. He turned to look after the vampire when he heard him following, raising his eyebrows at the child he left behind. After watching Mable select a door, he turned his back to continue down the hall, preparing to leave the poor newbie in a dangerous situation by herself. Surely it be a good learning experience - and he was a bit curious how his vampire friend would feel about letting a newbie wander off.

The sound of voices nearby caused the Doctor to perk up a bit. She wasn't sure where they were coming from exactly, but she supposed it wouldn't be too hard to work it out so long as she kept hearing them. It was with careful, hesitant steps that she walked in that direction. She should have been bounding across the leaves, but for the time being that didn't seem to be the case. For the time being, she didn't think she could get enough power in her steps to do it. Stepping around some trees blocking her view, she saw Vincent and Enjolras. She recognized them both. Vincent from the room where they'd been surrounded by statues and then Enjolras from the castle room. She wondered if either would recognize her. At least she'd shaken off a bit of the worst of the regeneration aftereffects. "Hello?" she said, stepping into the open.

"Now see here," said Myrnin. And then he grabbed Vincent's arm, dragging him back the way he'd come and toward Mable. It would be a bit impressive if Vincent resisted, since Myrnin would use vampire force if it became necessary, but he suspected that the annoying man wouldn't bother. "New roooooom," he said. "It'll be exciting and you wouldn't want to miss that, now would you Vase." Apparently the usual nickname had changed for today. He came up behind Mable and very gently pushed her toward the open doorway. "You're dawdling. Go if you're going." He didn't hesitate (or let go of Vincent). He stepped right in.

Mabel turned her head towards the other blinkers as Myrnin pulled Vince towards the door she was standing next to. They're coming to explore with me! she realized excitedly. Vince seemed less enthralled by the idea than his companion, but she was thrilled nonetheless. At that moment, Mabel realized she had forgotten to introduce herself. If she was going to be travelling with these two men, then she needed to know who they were! However, she was interrupted when Myrnin influenced her to go forward. She energetically raced into the room directly after he had disappeared into the darkness.

Vince | Hallway/Room | Sησω mintedstar/furVincent said nothing as Myrnin grabbed his arm, reluctantly allowing himself to be pulled backwards towards the new blinker. After a few forced steps backwards, the man turned and began to follow at Myrnin’s side - roughly a pace behind him as he was still being dragged at a speed faster than he was willing to walk. He didn’t seem terribly surprised by this turn of events, and the subtle smirk on his face suggested he wasn’t very upset either. He chuckled a bit as the vampire pushed the younger blinker in, following suit quickly after. Once on the other side, he started to move his arm away, not forcefully, but enough to make it clear he wanted to be let go of. “Don’t rush,” he scowled Mable casually, his pale eyes only landing on her briefly before turning back to Myrnin. “Impatience is scarcely attractive,” he added to the vampire before looking around the new room.

"Am I supposed to be offended by that?" Myrnin asked Vincent, gasping with melodramatic "shock." The room they were in looked like the upper office building room, windows spread out in front of them looking out onto a city. To Myrnin's left was a table that was the same one he'd seen in movies with meetings in them. They were boring to him. These ones had open brief cases on them with little poster boards braced on them. He didn't look closely at them, instead glancing at Mabel. "You're quiet. Interested in the room?" Then his head swiveled to Vincent. "Aaaaaaare you really going to be a jerk today?"

Mabel ignored Vincent as she ran into the room. She couldn't help it - she was so excited! Her eyes were first drawn to the windows overlooking the city. She sprinted towards them to get a better look outside. "Woah," she commented, pressing her hands and face against the glass. She appeared to be in a super tall building, as the cars on the streets below looked like they were miles away. "I can see the whole world from here!" She completely forgot about the introduction she had planned to do, as she was fascinated by the sights outside the window.

Vince | Superpower Room | Sησω mintedstar/furVincent cocked an eyebrow at the vampire’s rebuttal, “are you?” he replied curiously. He scanned the interior of the small room carefully, watching Mable run to the glass and looking out it briefly. It wasn’t a city scape he immediately recognized, and he had to remind himself that they weren’t on Earth despite the familiar atmosphere. No longer interested in the outside, he turned his attention to the table, thumbing through the material that was scattered across its surface. He turned a curious glance over his shoulder when Myrnin spoke to him, raising his eyebrows slightly. “Why would you think that,” he asked offhandedly while turning back to the paperwork. He then added; “where’s your optimism,” a chuckle evident in his tone.

Honestly, this firm a grip on a sword wasn't unusual at this point. Kid wondered if he should have been more worried about it. But at this point he'd hardly noticed it. Blinkers just tended to be like that. They were all so tense, particularly the new ones. "You sure you should be doing that," he said to the newbie. Then he slowly started walking after him. He wasn't surprised to find he wasn't particularly worried about this new blinker. He seemed capable. But he still glanced backward at Salsa and Chamomile, a silent agreement that maybe they should follow. Salsa had already reached that conclusion, after all. He was just willing to follow right along with it. Chamomile's words weren't particularly heartening though. Kid had forgotten that blinkers with healing abilities, Cham in particular, tended to blink in when they were needed and not much sooner. So. Someone was likely to get hurt. And unless this room was going to take away his immortality, it wasn't going to be him who'd need healing. "Seems like a plan." He hurried after the newbies. "Hey, wait up." The hallway was the same as usual, of course. Doors. Lots of doors. He wondered which the newbie was going to pick.

"Do you want me to be?" Myrnin countered. He could hear Mabel's excited exclamations in the background and he grinned just a bit. It wasn't clear if he was happy to hear an excited newbie or whether he was just amused that such a thing was happening at all. He considered for a second where his optimism might be, then couldn't think of a witty comeback to what Vincent had said. Instead he wandered closer to the window for a second, looking out of it by pressing his face and hands to it, much like Mabel was. Hum. Fun. He should do that more often. He turned away and sauntered over to where Vincent was flipping through paperwork. "Find anything?" he asked.

Matt | Mall Room | Lark |"Wait wait, now I'm confused," said Matt, craning his neck to watch Joey's face as the man began his slightly confusing exposition. "You died? Like....before the House, or in the House?" He wanted to ask 'how' more specifically, but that seemed like a rude thing to ask someone who, despite apparently being dead, was up and talking. And who now seemed to think that HE had some kind of answers. Man, he really didn't know him very well yet.

There was the kicker. "See, I knew you would say that crap!" Joey raised a finger motioning at the detective. Regardless of how confusing his experience was, it felt a little nice to have the upper hand on him. Even if it meant he'd dig his grave deeper than it already was. "So get this," The younger of the pair motioned with his hands, recounting his harrowing tale. "I got inside the house or whatever you want to call it, but yeah I probably died in the house. That's when everything went wrong because I turned into a skeleton! An actual skeleton!" God it was experasting the first time he tried to explain it. Frankly he didn't give a damn if he got some convoluted answer, just anything would work other than 'it is what is it'. "I was never a skeleton before or after so when that happened I met this demon called Tsu, then this mummy that called himself Kid walked up like it was no big deal. I thought I was a goner, like this was gonna be how it all ends. The next thing you know, I'm back home not a skeleton."

Mabel admired the outside for a few more minutes, gleefully watching as the little cars passed by on the street far below. As Myrnin approached to see the sights as well, she commented, "Amazing, isn't it? I bet we're on the 1,000th floor!" After he had left, she finally peeled herself off the glass and rushed off towards him and his friend (at least, she thought they were friends). She took no interest in the paperwork Vincent was looking through, and instead introduced herself. "By the way, who are you guys? I'm Mabel!"

Azula was in the middle of a session of firebending training when the scenery around her suddenly switched. The lightning sparking off her fingers vanished as her focus was broken, and she was sent tumbling onto the ground. After batting a stray strand of hair out of her face, she stood up and observed her new surroundings. A jungle. How lame, how foul, how disgusting! She crossed her arms, glaring at the wildlife around her. "Whose sick prank is this?"

[ Mabel || Attack of the Plants! || not gonna ping since I just did ] Mabel blinked in licking a popsicle. Her eyes widened in surprise as she witnessed the scenery change. "Woah," she commented, admiring the canopy of trees above her. She briefly wondered what had happened, but then she remembered that something like this had happened yesterday. She had been with two men in some sort of tall office building. Now, she appeared to be in the Amazon! She was beginning to wonder if all this 'alternate reality' talk of theirs had some truth to it. As little sense as this made, she was excited. She eagerly looked around the room for signs of the blinkers she'd met yesterday, but unfortunately, they were nowhere to be found. A strange-looking girl who wore red was standing a few feet away from her, but she didn't appear happy.

(Sorry 7S, Tatsu hath spoken and you'll have to wait for your return blink another time. And oof, this post is rough.) That's it. This was the final straw. The way that fool ran off with those ingredients like some petty thief, all while bearing his face... It was beyond irreverent! The door to the airship's deck flew open with a loud slam, as a fuming Primarch burst out from below, bright blue circle of light already forming behind his back. His red eyed glare was locked onto the lone figure that sat at the bow ahead, who was completely unfazed by the barrage of oncoming light magic about to blow him right off the ship. Before that could happen unfortunately, the warm morning air was replaced by damp humidity, miles of open sky suddenly changing into a sea of jungle trees. Eyes widening in surprise, Sandalphon let out a sharp curse when the realization he'd blinked hit him too late. He was unable to stop the spell completely, but focusing as quickly he could, he tried his best to divert it's path elsewhere. The numerous magical lasers swerved upward, just missing a pair of other blinkers standing nearby as they passed overhead, tearing a hole in the canopy above instead. Damn it. That was too close. If it had been a mere second later, that could have gone horribly worse. The Primarch didn't say anything right away, simply standing where he was while what was left of his magic faded. His gaze momentarily observed the two mortals he had almost hit. Strangers, both of them. What a fine first impression to leave... If it was either of their first visits here too, that meant things would only be worse. He couldn't help but look away with his jaw clenched in annoyance, both at the situation and himself. He was aware he had no excuses for what just happened, besides the fact he had allowed that... imbecile, to get under his skin again. Although, if this blasted place would stop picking the most inopportune moments to drag him here, that would help too.

Vincent | power room | mintedstar/fur SησωVincent grinned to himself but said nothing more as Myrnin walked away. With the two others at the window, the man reached down and lifted up a few pieces of paper, reading through what he could. Several pieces were blank, others filled with graphs with no text to elaborate on what they represented, but a specific few had actual writing on them. Skimming through, he found each page carried a similar message, reading like a magazine ad for some kind of product. His gaze rose over the corners of the pages as Myrnin approached, saying nothing as he handed the vampire the papers with nothing of any interest on them; keeping the others to himself for any extra time he could salvage. He scanned the pages he held briefly, then tossed all but one back on the table, tilting his head as he read over the single sheet once again. Then, with a patient look at the vampire before him, he folded the sheet and put it in his pocket.

[ Mabel || Little Garden of Horrors || Lark ] Mabel's eyes widened in interest as a strange, red-eyed man appeared out of thin air, not far from where she and the other girl were standing. Is that how I appeared here? she began to wonder. Now to think of it, she hadn't seen anybody actually blink in before. The girl couldn't focus on it for long, however. In that moment, something amazing happened - numerous laser's streamed out of the stranger's hands and flew upwards! She could hardly believe what she was seeing. Is that magic? she was just about to ask it aloud, but then a familiar voice caught her attention. Mabel? Is that really you? "Dipper?" she asked, spinning around. Sure enough, her twin brother was standing in front of her. She was surprised to see him, but also relieved. "What is this place? [ Azula || Little Garden of Horrors || HᥲꙆƒꙆɩɠᖾt ] So people can appear out of thin air here, Azula observed, noticing how Mabel and Sandalphon seemed to spawn randomly. They hadn't emerged from bushes, or jumped out of treetops - they'd simply appeared in front of her, with no explanation. Someone's using us for something, she realized. Trapping her here was quite possibly part of the Avatar's plan, but that didn't excuse the others. They didn't appear to be from the Fire Nation. In fact, she had never seen outfits anything like theirs before. Just what was going on, and who was behind it? The princess couldn't help but smirk as Sandalphon's lasers passed over her head. "Looks like you missed," she commented, putting her hands on her hips. No matter whether those lasers were aimed at her or someone from wherever the man had originally come from, it was clear that they had missed their target.

Far from the shock or fear he expected to be greeted with, was that instead... snark? His feelings of annoyance starting to dissipate, Sandalphon peered back toward the other blinkers, namely the older human girl who had addressed him directly with a mild expression of surprise. What sort of sane mortal would respond to almost getting stuck by a Primal's magic like it was nothing more than a party trick? Childish naivete was one thing, but this boldness was something else. "Oh? Would you preferred I hadn't?" He asked with a raised brow, his own voice holding no hint he was joking, even though he was. Everything about this child, her sarcastic tone, the way she was smiling and the position she stood in shouted one word, cocky. In response, he retorted with some snark of his own. The younger of the mortal pair was currently in the midst of a reunion with another blinker who also just arrived. Since it was none of his business, the Primarch left them to it, keeping a wary eye on the large plants that loomed nearby.

[ Azula || Little Garden Of Horrors || HᥲꙆƒꙆɩɠᖾt ] Out of the corner of her eye, Azula noticed the fly trap attempting to attack the two younger blinkers. Apparently the jungle's plants were hostile. That was something she would have to look out for. She also observed that they knew each other. That was the proof for her theory - the four of them were deliberately chosen. There were many pieces she still had to put together, but she'd figure them out soon enough. "It's probably better that we both stick around," the princess said in response to Sandalphon's comment. She didn't view him as an ally, but he certainly wasn't an enemy - at least not yet. Currently, the other blinkers seemed her best chance at getting out of here. Hopefully she could use them to some extent. She wasn't sure about the kids yet, but if the jungle got dangerous, Sandalphon's power could be useful.
