Dipper | Living room | Gray
Okay, since when were his fears changed to being...."I said what I said." No, no, no more secrets. Everyone had there fair share of skeletons in his closet, no more were needed to be thrown in. The brunette stood his grown meeting the eyes of the hooded stranger. "If this was all on me, neither of us would be here. I don't know who you might be - but we both got here by something really weird." Dipper frowned when the cage went behind Gray's back. Staring was rude, sure, but the appeal and reasoning such a thing was inside the house with a blinker brought more questions than answers. "I'm Dipper, just so you might want to know. For later, uh, we're stuck here," He paused glancing back at the ground and the back to the servant nervously, "Its like a force pulls anyone it can from any place in the universe. You just stand here for awhile before you go back wherever your home happens to be."

Salsa | Clone Living Room | Anika The veteran blinker ever so chipper beamed at the questions asked of her. "Currently I had the honor to meet about three dragons, one wildclaw and two gods and believe it or not this place is far out of Sorneith. Secondly, don't be frightened by the humans as they resemble the species among the beastclan - no talons, wings, scales! They're absolutely odd at first sight but their individual personalities define them more than their looks. Thirdly, you'll go back home whenever the house decides it, you'll practically be back before you know it." Salsa answered back at the pace the questions were asked of her. "Quite literally as time hasn't moved in your world but the logic of it all turns your head to mush if too much thought is put into it." She chides all the while the breath in her lungs came back to her. A part of her wanted to thank the Lightweaver for creating imperials - while pearlcatchers were nice they were no fun to talk to. "Oh yes, pardon my speed Anika but rooms can hold anything and everything inside them be it magnificent treasures or your worst foe. They're awfully wild which is why many blinkers tend to no go inside or venture into one of them alone - there are three parts of the house. Normally a map would be demonstrated but I'd imagine it would be painful to squint at parchment. Would a tour be prefered? Its a sign of good faith my word is true, no?" Some smart scholar would have a quote that would be applied to the situation. She couldn't be bothered to remember but once you told a newbie most likely they held disbelief to the information given. A small grin began to form on her lips, her size as that of an ant when compared to the giant who whiskers could topple her if desired. Careful watch was needed bu there had been nothing but care in the wildclaw's overzealous introduction. "If you all follow me I can lead you out of the living room - don't bother breaking through the walls they're practically indestructible!" She called over her shoulder wasting no time to pass through the living room exit.

Stormcatcher sighed at L's answer. No way out. Of course, that must've been why he'd blinked in over a hundred times! He looked around the room for a moment, thinking for some sort of solution. Maybe I should get out of this room, he thought to himself. However, he didn't know if it would simply lead to another place in this so-called "Paradox House". Either way, he figured it wouldn't hurt to explore. "WHAT DO YOU SAY WE FIND A WAY OUT OF HERE?" the dragon god asked L, ignoring the man's question about the cake. 'Here' mostly referred to the room, but it applied to his feelings about the House as well.

Arcelia took another quick glance at the circle of stones, but couldn't find anything of interest about them. They were just stones standing in a circle, as far as she could tell. A trick, perhaps, she thought, rolling her eyes. "W-what did y-you see on the way in?" she inquired, turning back towards Sam. For all she knew, it was another trick. However, she couldn't help but wonder.

[ Anika || Living Room || Lark ] "You've met gods?!" Eri squealed, "That's amazing! And I can't wait to meet humans! This is so cool! Please show us around!" Her eyes seemed to glow ever brighter, and her energy matched that of a child on their birthday. Rua and Ysa looked at each other after the Wildclaw had finished speaking. They both shared the same thought: if the rooms are so dangerous, why does she want us to follow her? Her description of the rooms had been quite vague, and neither of them knew what to expect. Nonetheless, they felt curious. "Why not follow?" Rua asked. Khi and Xio were just as skeptical of Salsa as they had been before. None of this makes any sense, Khi thought to herself. 'Blinking', rooms, 'humans'. . .this all felt like some sort of fever dream. However, she shared the same curiosity as Rua and Ysa. She and her companions hadn't had an adventure in so long. Maybe this could be fun. So she found herself nodding in agreement to Rua's plan. Xio also thought that this didn't make any sense. However, unlike Khi, she didn't want to explore. She wanted to stay in the 'living room', go back to sleep, and wake up somewhere away from Paradox Houses and strange, fast-talking Wildclaws. However, she knew her companions wanted to follow Salsa, so she said nothing. And thus, the Emperor followed after the smaller dragon.

Joey | Mall Room | Rain Joey blinked inside the house or rather a murky, expansive area decorated in neon store signs, sub par food, and tacky clothes that are overpriced. The young teen held onto a knife which had only been cleaned moments ago, at this time he was holding it up to a light. It was no longer there instead his surroundings turned darker than usual causing him to lower his hand immediately. Without a second thought he tucked the karambit back into its proper strap he took in the sudden change of scenery. "What the..." He softly mumbled lost in beholding the the two story mall. He slowly walked over to the balcony turning his head both ways, bright eyes glancing at whatever corner someone could possibly walk through. He shuddered at the possibility if he'd fallen asleep on watch - his gang would be fine but Frank would rip him a new one if they got caught. Unless, well, it was one of those times he ended up somewhere he wasn't home. "The house?" Joey spoke in awe when his gaze was casted down at the flourishing mall. No one was around much to his dismay, there was a multitude of stores some of which hadn't been in Ormond. Actually, there was no malls in Ormond save for the one a few towns away but that was a special time occasion. Staring down the stores made one thing clear: The stores were obviously open. From where he had been standing it was a food court - upstairs no less.

Salsa | Clone Living Room | Anika "I can still feel there magic, Stormcatcher's was fresh so keep your eyes peeled if he shows up. Not sure if the legends are true about his snippy attitude. On one hand, he too must have went inside a room at one point surely." Happy with the results Salsa continued on her merry way down what should have been the hallway. "If you decide to follow me through we should find ourselves in the hallway. Then -" Instead the living room greeted her once more only this time all the bean bags were blue. She shook her head stopping her cheery speech staring at an absolute mockery of her navigation skills! The cap in her possession trembled slightly in her grip. It was embarrassing enough she had been the only one around to give the newbie speech, correction, tour. "As I was saying, we should fine an exit out of the living room. That would normally be the case but we find ourselves in a crossroads of sorts. If you couldn't trust in my word I present this!" Upon saying that Salsa neared the next exit in the fake living room, gently wing tapping the wall to reveal a tear inside the wall. Within the tear what should have been unbreakable broke with the tiniest pressure. "Earlier ago, I said the walls of the living room were unbreakable yet these are weak. Go on, give it a try wherever you please. All of this clearly seems ridiculous but you get used to it."

Eises felt satisfied that her plan had worked, and she smiled smugly as Myrnin was tipped over from the weight of the snowballs. If Myrnin were Julius, she'd still keep going with the snow. It didn't seem like the cold had much effect on him, which was good. She wouldn't want to accidentally make a vampire ice pop. With her heightened wolf senses, it led her to wonder how that would taste like. She grinned, "Of course." Usually, the snowball fights back home include her throwing her onslaught of snow balls from the beginning, without stopping. It wasn't a bad way to practice one's dodging technique either. "Snow is made of ice, so I just use my magic." To demonstrate, she lifted her wrist with her palm facing downwards. A pile of snow floated into the air and into her hand. She flipped her palm to face upwards, and formed a floating snowball. Her wolf-like characteristics were still strongly visible. Myrnin's questions were reminding her of Hyacin. The two seemed to share a similar sense of curiosity, which was truly delightful for Eises. Her eyes brightened, "Demitheians and semitheians get more animal-like when we get really excited...or really mad...or really happy." She chuckled sheepishly, "I don't have control over it when that happens, it just happens!" "I-I figured it out after I got excited. You kinda smell like...human? I-I think it's human...And there was an ice-cow giving you away too." Eises was half-surprised it didn't start eating his hair while he was hiding. "H-How long were you hiding for? Did you plan on stayin' in there all day?" Myrnin | Ice Statue Room | Eises "Darn cow," Myrnin muttered, amused. He shifted from foot to foot, shaking some of the snow off his arms. It was really coated on though. He chuckled over the smelling of humans detail. "Yeah, not surprised. I was stuck on a train full of the smelly creatures. Wonder if it'll ever come out of my clothes." He glanced up from where he was busily brushing away snow from his clothing. "I'm very patient and used to waiting. I certainly would have stayed there all day if I wanted too. I might have given up after a bit, just because my body temperature was dropping to match the surrounding and I wouldn't have wanted you to have to thaw me out. It would have taken ages and been no fun for either of this." He flexed his fingers, demonstrating the growing stiffness. "It'll slow down a bit now I'm moving - but I don't exactly have an internal means of generating heat very well. Ah, the side-effects of being able to function in different temperatures for long periods of time." He glanced at Eises ears. "Though I will say, you seem to be doing pretty well. Is that a wolf thing or a demitheian thing? Staying out in the cold, that is. Maybe we should start looking for a way out." "Yuck." Eises playfully replied. "I-I think that would give me a headache." She imagined vampire noses were much more sensitive than wolf noses. How did he handle it? "I-If lemon and baking soda can take something like blood off of clothes, I think it can take human scents off too." She snorted, it almost felt mean to laugh at an image of a frozen Myrnin. "I-I'd help but I don't want to burn this place down on accident." Using short spurts of crystalised Serian was easy for her, but something like a prolonged flame over her hand would get out of control very quickly. The element was still quite difficult for her to control, and she didn't want Myrnin to be her training subject over that. "It helps being part wolf, b-but my tolerance wouldn't be as good as a regular wolf's." She assumed not having fur cover her whole body played a part of it, although she didn't know why having wolf genes still gave her some tolerance. "Ice elementals can tolerate cold way better than anyone else, even if you're a regular Theian without any wolf in you. S-So in weather like this, I always come out with shorts on." Of course, she wasn't completely immune to cold; even ice elementals had their limits. She's found herself needing to layer up during particularly nasty blizzards and annoying winds. Of course, for Evina's sake, she usually layered up anyway. Her lips widened into a grin, "Let's find some place warm for you." Pointing a finger towards Myrnin's general direction, any remaining snow on his shoulders and head fell off to the sides. She then placed her hands in her coat pockets and started walking down the wide path they've been standing in. "S-So when it's winter, do you usually wear bigger coats than humans do?" An image came to mind of the vampire wearing so many layers of thick clothes that it made his arms stick out. "D-Do you prefer the warmer countries with beaches?" Evidently, Eises completely forgot about a vampire's worst enemy. After just a bit of walking, she noticed that some of the trees were thinning out on their right. There seemed to be different trees on the other side of them, with another few ice sculptures. The trees that stood in between them hid any sort of clear view of them. The path they currently walked on seemed to continue on indefinitely, with no end in sight. Eises hummed in curiosity when she changed directions and headed towards the trees, giving Myrnin the occasional glance.

~∂єѕтιиу "Vin-sint" Eises repeated after him. The name sounded like it would come from the southern countries. She hesitated when he reached his hand out, Where has that been? She took his offer and shook it with her cold hand, silently wishing she had hand sanitizer in her pocket. "Y-you can call me Eises." The humidity continued to annoy her, so she further cooled the air around her. "Are you h-human? You almost smell like one." Eises was still wary of this stranger, but her curiosity still ran her thoughts as usual. She was getting better at relearning the social rules of speaking to other people, but many things still slipped through her tongue. Her tail flicked to the side while she started walking down the path. It was considerably darker here due to the thicker walls of trees that decorated the sides and skies. She briskly walked around the undergrowth and plants, her eyes doing just fine with the lack of light. She occasionally looked back to see if Vin-sint was following along. "Bad room for a suit." She simply stated, knowing that it's not like Vin-sint had a choice in the matter. Even if this man was a stranger with a weird vibe and bad hair, Eises didn't want him getting heat stroke. "D-Do you need water?" Vincent took in a sharp inhale, closing his eyes a moment longer than necessary as the woman struggled with his name. He considered correcting her odd pronunciation, though he seemed to decide it wasn’t worth it as he simply let his breath go. He glanced down curiously as contact with her hand was cold, saying nothing as she introduced herself. He lifted an eyebrow at her query, confused for only a second before breaking into a chuckle. “Call me that if it’s easier,” he suggested with a grin, his hatred for the question nowhere to be seen in his smile. As she began to lead the way down the narrow path, he followed obediently. He kept a close eye on the greenery as they passed by it, watching each leaf that brushed past his pant leg with suspicion. The darkness of the jungle floor was only mildly troublesome, though his eyes were best put to use watching his own feet; as he trusted the canine woman’s eyes could spot danger before his. He chuckled at the ground at her comment, though he couldn’t well tell if she’d meant to say a joke. Her follow up question made him smirk again, his eyes briefly lifting to watch her back. “Would you feel better about me if I took off the jacket?” While he found her concern endearing, it was extremely hot. It was likely he would have to discard a good amount of his outfit by the time the room ended, or his company was going to have to start dragging around his unconscious body. She seemed good hearted enough, but he wasn’t about to gamble that she’d put up with the deadweight. Eises stayed completely oblivious to the man's irritation. "Vin-sint" She repeated again, hoping she can remember his foreign name. She wondered if Vin-sint was some sort of business man. He had a similar suspicious air that they did, and his outfit certainly didn't help. Maybe he just had a lot of money, once again judging by his clothes and the vibe he gave her. She pushed away any thought of him being rich, otherwise the temptation of wanting to potentially steal from him would be too great. "S-So you are human, Vin-sint." That narrowed down some ideas of how squishy this man might be. The shape of his face and face-cheeks told her he wasn't terribly muscular, but who knew, looks could be deceiving. She silently followed her rabbit-hole of her thoughts for a few moments, wondering if Vin-sint could have anything hidden up his sleeve in a fight. A weapon? Magic? ...Multiple weapons? "W-Well, you won't be as s-smelly later on." She laughed. A sweaty human was never pleasant. Judging by the way he worded his comment, Eises was beginning to guess this man wasn't in the best of moods. Either that or he was just naturally weird. She considered whether she should extend her field of cool air to his surroundings too. Perhaps she should wait and see. This particular path seemed more humid than usual, and as a result, the dirt beneath them was quite soft. The wolf's combat boots sunk into the ground with each step. She took little care for it, it was something to be expected and her boots could handle it fine. Eises continued to look intently to the trees that stood at their sides as she walked. The trees stayed silent and dark, with only the distant bird calls being heard with the occasional brushing of undergrowth that came from her and Vin-sint. The hairs on the back of her neck stood rigidly, and she frowned. She decided to take extra caution to avoid touching any of the leaves or bushes they walked near.

[ Anika || Clone Living Room || Lark ] "That is so cool! Completely fascinating!" Eri chirped. She half wondered if she would ever get the chance to meet a deity. The idea both intrigued and scared her at the same time. The Emperor squeezed her colossal body through the door that was supposed to lead into the hallway. It was quite tough for her to fit, but after some wriggling, she finally managed to fit through. "Please don't tell me we have to do that again," Ysa whispered to herself. As curious as she was, she hated fitting through tight spaces.
All five heads - including the energetic Eri - felt a wave of confusion wash over them as they walked into a room identical to the one they'd just left. "Hey! This is the same room!" Eri exclaimed in surprise. "This is making less and less sense by the moment," Khi spoke, rolling her emerald green eyes. The statement was directed at the Emperor's other heads, but it was just loud enough for the Wildclaw to hear. Rua and Ysa stayed silent, but they felt the same way as Khi. They cast uneasy glances at each other, hoping they'd be able to find answers to this confusing circumstance soon. Xio, on the other hand, was beginning to think that this was all a dream. There was no way a magic maze that pulled in gods could be real. Then, as Salsa ripped a tear in the wall, she felt a sudden impulse. As she chose to act on it, a smirk appeared on her face. She caused both of the Emperor's tails to move. They swung into the wall behind her. If everything went as Xio had planned, it would crash to the ground. She didn't know the full reason she did it. Maybe it was because she wanted to find a way out of the strange place she'd become trapped in. Maybe she wanted to wake herself up. Maybe she felt she could do anything since she was in a dream. No matter the reason, she felt pleasure in doing it.

Arlo nodded to the Doctor's added details about blinking. "It's a lot to get used to but believe it or not it gets to feel kinda normal eventually," she murmured almost inaudibly as she continued forward. She avoided including the fact that she'd been blinking for ten years and was still surprised occasionally.
Another nod to Ononoki's comment, though she didn't say anything. It was unfortunately not something that was new to her, even in her own world she was always watching for attackers. Since returning to the island she and Jasper had often slept in shifts so that one of them could keep watch, doing the same here seemed like a good idea. Of course, there was the issue of her not really trusting them. Unfortunately she didn’t have many options here. "Just somewhere safe to rest and make plans I suspect?" Her answer sounded almost like a question itself as she looked over at the Doctor, then added to Sachiko. "I just ran into them a bit before you got here. None of us have been in this forest for very long though..." she paused. "But I have similar experience that might come in useful here."
Arlo’s gaze snapped ahead to the blue haired girl when she spoke up again, already heading toward what she’d spotted. She couldn’t see into it from where she was and was pretty sure she was too far back to sense anything. “Hey, be careful, I can’t tell if there’s anything around it,” she called.

NumquamVincent managed to hold onto his patience as the woman struggled to get a reading on him. He chose to say nothing as she followed his recommendation, merely offering a slight lift of his chin to suggest he was satisfied. ‘Human’ seemed to be the inferior species of the House, and being one was occasionally beneficial if it meant he could stay under the radar of certain blinkers - also when he wanted something from the one of the carnivorous ones. Why Eises had any particular in his species, he had no idea, but it frankly left him feeling slightly suspicious. He couldn’t think of any reason she’d need to play dumb around him, but that didn’t mean it wasn’t a possibility. He chuckled again as she brought up his scent, though his smile fell short behind her back. She, unfortunately, had a point. He was already sweating - and taking off a single layer wouldn’t provide much relief - but he did it anyways. After removing a band from his pocket, he stripped off his jacket and tossed it off into the underbrush. With a huff of newfound freedom, he tied up his hair with the band he retrieved, and gave his company’s back an extremely subtle sneer. Unlike his canine friend, the mud received an open scowl. His expressions were always slight, though there was no missing the curl of his upper lip as they navigated through the increasingly uncomfortable path. In an attempt to distract himself, he turned his attention towards Eises’s stride; the readable distaste on his face fading slowly as focused on reading her steps.

Rue nodded seriously, not understanding what it was that was hurting him, but getting the gist of it. It was bad, and it was probably something that had happened to him. She was used to seeing people in bad places after something awful had happened, and she thought that was probably what was happening here. He still looked a little bit off to her, but she didn’t know whether there was anything she could do about that. She could offer to help him get up - no, he was already up, and he didn’t look that bad physically anymore. Maybe whatever it was, it was passing for now. She offered a small, sideways smile as he apologized. “It’s okay.” She said, even though it wasn’t. “I’m not going to hurt anyone, but I’m not giving up, either. Maybe they’ll all kill each other and I’ll hide until they’re gone. Or maybe the Gamemakerw will forget about me.” She knew the odds were not in her favor. Honestly, she was just trying to seem optimistic for her family, and her own mental well-being until she was killed. She listened, perking up a bit as he said they could have a fire safely. She trusted him, because he could have killed her and he hadn’t, so he was a friend, right? Probably? For now, anyway, she didn’t question his motives. “Okay.” She agreed, moving to follow him back to the camp. “I haven’t eaten anything all day, I could eat that whole rabbit by myself. Unless you wanted some of course.” She added, glancing up at him. He probably hadn’t eaten either, after all. And she didn’t know whether he was human or not, so she didn’t know what he ate. And now she was probably overthinking this. He would eat if he was hungry, she decided, and left it at that. “I know.” She said quietly, looking down as she followed him. “You’re right. But we can’t lose hope. If we give up, it really will be over, and it doesn’t have to be yet. We still have a chance.” "You can't die here," Myrnin said with a sigh. He placed both of his hands behind his back, looking like he was out for a stroll. If he often strolled around while looking tired. "This is the House. First thing in the House you need to know is that death isn't permanent. You'll just end up back in your world." His voice was dull. Even still, he was thinking about Rue's world. No escape for her there. "Doesn't make the fear go away." Particularly here. He thought the House was probably making it worse; a haze of low-grade terror and paranoia was resting over the room. He glanced back at Rue as he picked his way around a bush and back into the make-shift camp. "No, I don't want the rabbit. It's yours. I'm not human. I don't need the same food as you." A chance. Myrnin shook his head a little. He stepped over to the makeshift pile of wood and began to organize it. After a second, he got it together, along with something which would work to roast a rabbit. "You'll have to light it," he said. "Here." He dropped a package of matches on the ground by the fire. He hadn't snuck as far back as the clearing to get them ... he'd seen L take a backpack and gone back to check. It seemed easier. It seemed less likely to get him in a situation where he'd have to kill someone. The package looked in bad shape, but it at least still appeared in one piece. "I-" he started. But he didn't get far enough. His eyes completely switched to gold. His mind dripped and drifted away, thin as the haze around the room. Into every crack and crevice anywhere near him. Into Rue's head. Flicking through her memories here and there, only managing to look through the surface ones before drifting slowly, slowly back. Myrnin's eyes flickered like a badly made lightbulb. He breathed out, green returning. He looked sick. Felt hopeless. He sat down, dry chuckles coming from his mouth like a sob. "So," he said, "you've killed too. I'm sorry. Oh I'm so sorry that I'm here and you're here. You've killed someone, and your world is so ... I ... did wonder if the House ... Your world trains you to kill? And you'll have to soon. You're scared you're going to die. Afraid your family will suffer. I'm sorry. I'd help you if I could. I really would. But the House isn't the best place to help friends. I'm sorry."

"We're just looking for shelter," The Doctor said lightly. She nodded to Arlo, as she answered Sachiko. Then continued after Ononoki, looking pleased when she saw the narrow opening of the hollow. The Doctor thought it looked big enough from the outside. Turning to Sachiko, she assured, "I'll go first." Then with a shuffle and leaning forward a bit, she entered the opening. It was dark, but her eyes adjusted fast. The space was big enough for all of them, but also went deeper, opening up a bit more, until The Doctor's limited senses couldn't tell how much further it went. She could straighten now, and feel space around her. She looked back and grinned brightly. The weight of what was going on didn't lighten, but it at least felt safer to be in the dark. "Nice place, Ononoki," she said. She grinned in the direction she could hear Sachiko. "Perfect place for ghost stories."

Ononoki - hunger games room, cave - Arlo, Sachiko, The Doctor
She crouched in the dark next to The Doctor and lifted her head at the mention of ghost stories. In her world, that just meant that the stories were about her. "Ghost stories..." she echoed. "Do you have ghost stories?... I said with a posed look."
There was a faint flowing of water in the distance, probably from an underground stream. It was hardly audible, even to Ononoki's keen ears. She put her hands over these pointed ears briefly, as if shielding them from the sudden cool air. It was already much colder in the cave than outside. At least the temperature here would vary less in the night, and it would give them indispensable shelter The doll girl crouched, only touching the ground with the soles of her yellow galoshes. For this reason her dress would not be dirtied, but it was not to keep her clothes clean that she did it. She merely crouched because she didn't know comfort; it was as comfortable to her as sitting. She was perched on a flat stone near the wall of the cave, out of the way to give the others space.
As if having the same thought as Arlo, she said to the others, "I will keep watch. You can sleep, if you want." Regardless of whether they trusted her, her staring green eyes did not betray her confidence in staying awake. She was a living corpse after all. The dead don't truly sleep.

Matt | Mall Room | Lark |A sudden crash came from the direction of the nearest gaming store, and Matt came tumbling out moments later, tripping and falling flat on the ground, somehow tangled in one of the display shelves that he'd taken down with him. "Ow, ow, ugh..." He just lay there for a second, lying face down on the floor in defeat, and then, finally, began to try and untangle himself from the mess of cords, headphones, and shelving pieces he'd gotten himself tangled in. It was a long, difficult process, and he was going about it so inefficiently that it was kind of painful to watch. He was also so focused on his escape that he definitely hadn't noticed the other blinker just yet.

The grip on the paintgun got easier for Adrian as he adjusted his grip. He glanced back at Archie every now and again, curious and maybe a bit wary with the ease in which he could direct. It was unusual for someone to assist him like this. He was more used to figuring it out himself. "Alright," he said, nodding once. He turned a bit, slowly, trying to keep his arm in the same position as Archie seemed so familiar with while also trying to work out how to move so things didn't feel awkward. He aimed at a bit in the distance and tried pulling the trigger. It wasn't as easy of a give as he thought it would be and then he heard the sound of a paintball leaving the barrel in the brief time it took. His head jerked a bit, watching a splash of color appeared on a wall. With the same movement, he turned, aimed, and fired at Archie. He wasn't sure if the god would move or not, however. Adrian's expression also looked far grimmer with concentration than was probably needed. It looked all scrunched up. (Teach the boy the meaning of "fun", please.) Archie | Paintball Arena | mintedstar/fur Watching him get a handle on the gun was very amusing, heartwarming even. Moreso when he actually started to test the aiming and firing mechanism, and he grinned when he shot the first paintball. When he shot the second, he realized he really ought not to have been surprised but he still was anyways. The paint ball exploded right across his sternum and he doubled over a bit and wheezed from the impact, then began to chuckle gleefully. "Yup-, you got it," he said, still sounding a bit winded. It was almost entirely for the experience- paint balls would barely even tickle him normally. But this was all a fun time, so it seemed right to let it slide. Looking up at Adrian again, still grinning, he noticed the expression wasn't even vaguely mirrored on his young blond friends face. It crossed his mind briefly to shoot him back, and perhaps that would lighten the mood but he decided that might not have the best outcome since he was still learning. "Ease up! Its a little tricky at first, but learning is half the fun. Now that you know how to shoot, we can play properly. Maybe better to play something not too complicated at first since... well, I might forget the rules." Brushing off his vest, he reequipped his own gun and thought for a moment for a good game to start with, then bounced once he had. "Okay! Heres what we'll do: It'll be like hide n seek tag. We both try to hide and stay out of sight while looking for each other. If one of us spots the other then we shoot them. First one to get hit five times looses. You're totally allowed to use whatever powers you have, too, since that will be totally exciting. No going totally invisible though, if you can, since thats a little tricky. Mostly. Make sense?" he asked, settling into a cross legged sitting position mid air, floating down so he was about the same height as the dhampire. The dhampire relaxed a little. The game didn't sound too hard or something which relayed on something he didn't know. He particularly liked it that he was allowed to use his powers. Not that he would have thought otherwise unless told. He was used to using what abilities he had to succeed. He considered it for a second, then grinned, his small teeth showing. "Sure thing." Then he was off running, hopefully faster than Archie expected. It was a bit tricky, looking for a place to hide from a being that Adrian was sure was more powerful than he was. It was all a matter of assuming that he wasn't going to be able to hide for long, or hide at all. He also wasn't familiar with the room, so for the time being, he snuck behind walls and slowly started to move slower until he thought he was out of the direct sight of Archie. So that meant ... what? He really needed to work out what he was going to do next. So he payed attention to his ears, hoping he'd hear where Archie was going.

Numquam Vincent managed to hold onto his patience as the woman struggled to get a reading on him. Eises' ears continued to rotate as they scanned their surroundings. "S-So, Vin-sint, are humans the main species in your world?" She wondered if his world had its own version of demitheians. He didn't seem surprised at her wolf features, which meant either his world had them too or he just happened to see others like her in the House. "Are you from an Earth? T-The humans around here seem to come from there a-a lot." He's just throwing it to the side? If she had to take off her coat, she would at least carry it in her arms. It was true that he'll have his regular clothes back on when he returns to his world, but even then, Eises couldn't bring herself to willingly discard her belongings; especially if it was rather formal looking. He really does have money, doesn't he? Or whoever he lived with likely did, whichever was the case. Eises instinctively became a little less willing to help him cool down. Any thought of extending her field of cool air over to him had vanished. She tore her gaze to her right once more, ears automatically twitching. A faint rustle, now silent. A small animal? Eises narrowed her eyes. Was Vin-sint able to pick any sounds up? Theian ears were terrible, so she assumed human ones were too. Just how bad they were however, was something she could not tell. Eises picked up the pace. The path hadn't change in size, but it left her suddenly feeling cramped. At a distance, she noticed more light seeping into the trees, hinting to her that they may end up in a clearing very soon.

Sam | St. Patrick's Day Room | Sησω "A cleft in the rock," Sam said simply He turned back the way they had come in, walking slowly. It just seemed like a puzzle room for the most part. The rocks all looked the same until Sam retraced his steps and came up alongside one of the other pillars of rock somewhere to the left of when they had come in. He looked back at Arcelia and pointed at the cleft. "It's shaped oddly," he added. It looked like three circles, close to each other, with a line from the bottom. "I'm not sure what it is," he admitted. (Hint: Shamrock.)

Rue blinked, having to jog a little to keep up with Myrnin’s long legs. “Never?” She asked, her surprise showing in her tone as she looked up at him. Did people really never die permanently in the House? How did he know? And also, if that were true, why were people so afraid of rooms like this? She could understand being afraid of rooms like the one she and Noah had been in together, but why was death still a viable threat if it was never permanent? She’d never died before. Maybe that was why she wondered. She swallowed. Because for her, going back to her world wasn’t an escape. It was out of the frying pan and into the fire for her. Literally, because it was one arena to the next. She knew that when she went back, she’d have mere seconds before she was in the fight of her life, one she wouldn’t come back from. She didn’t expect to live. But that didn’t mean she’d go down without a fight. So he wasn’t human. That didn’t really surprise her. He’d already shown some kind of enhanced senses she hadn’t been prepared for, and she knew several dragons by name, so why should she be surprised? He was no more frightening than everyone else already was anyway. Maybe he was less. She watched as he got the fire together, quietly observing how he did it, in case she had to replicate it later. She bent down to pick up the matches, examining the box as she touched it. It looked pretty beat up, which wasn’t at all surprising under the circumstances. She wondered what had happened to them. Then she realized it didn’t matter and dropped the thought. She looked up as he tried to speak, and froze. His eyes had changed color. They were no longer green, but gold, and his whole body had changed somehow. He looked like a completely different person, and she found herself frozen in place, terrified to move even an inch in case he attacked. She didn’t want to be afraid of him, but it was like something inside of her had been flipped and she was in prey mode now. Or maybe he was the one who’d become a predator. And then he was back and she could breathe again. He looked sick. She wondered whether maybe he was sick. Carefully, she walked towards him, then froze again as he spoke. “What?” She breathed, barely trusting herself to speak at all. How did he know? The only person who knew was Noah...unless he had told him. No. No, she wouldn’t believe that. He wouldn’t do that to her. She trusted him. Which meant… “Can you read my mind?” She blurred out, eyes very wide as she stared at him. Then she swallowed and tried again. “It’s...it’s okay if you can. You probably can’t help it. But you don’t have to worry about me, because I’m not dead yet and I’m going to do my best to stay that way.”

Arcelia padded up to the rock Sam stood next to. She hadn't noticed it before, but now that he'd pointed it out, she could see it. Her eyes widened in interest as she studied the marking. It looked as if someone or something had purposefully carved it into the stone. "It's a clover," she spoke, surprised that the human did not know what the object was. Is he being serious? she couldn't help but wonder for a while. However, if he knew this place was 'Ireland', and he was familiar with this place, she figured he was joking.

L | Party Room | SησωL nodded agreeably, picking off pieces of his cake and dropping them into his mouth. He barely chewed before swallowing the pieces, and his dark eyes rarely left the dragon, even though there were other interesting things scattered around the room. Finally he did look away, and finished off the last bite of cake. “All right.” He agreed. “Usually there’s some goal to escaping w room. Something we have to accomplish first. This is a party, so it probably has something to do with that. Unfortunately, I know very little about parties. Do you have any ideas?” He looked expectantly at the dragon god, waiting to see what he would come up with.

Stormcatcher couldn't help but laugh at L's words. To those unfamiliar with his chuckle, it hardly sounded like a laugh at all. Instead, it closely resembled the sound of thunder. "ALL I KNOW ABOUT PARTIES IS THAT THEY'RE FOR SLACKERS!" the dragon god answered. "MAYBE WE SHOULD SEARCH BEHIND THE FURNITURE," he suggested, "MAYBE THERE'LL BE A SECRET EXIT HIDDEN UNDER ALL THIS S[oops]." He couldn't help but wonder if there was a further puzzle to solve or goal to reach, both due to L's words and the last room he'd been in. He'd blinked out before any action had happened, but he'd been taken to an arena of sorts, and he'd be told he needed to be the last one standing. What will it take to win? he thought to himself. If there was a goal, he wanted to know what it was.

Sachiko | Arena pt. 2 | --cato phoenix Razzle Dazzle mintedstar/fur |Sachiko paused, cautious, as the others headed down into a dark, foreboding hole in the ground, apparently choosing that as their place of refuge from whoever it was that was after them. "It's alright?" she called, leaning into the entrance to catch the Doctor's words. Then, without much more hesitation, she swallowed her misgivings and headed downward. With a soft thump, her feet hit the floor of the cave, and she stood up, squinting in the dim lighting to try and see where the others were. "One, two...and three," she confirmed, pointing in turn to Ononoki, the Doctor, and then Arlo, who hadn't come in as far as the others yet. "Ononoki," she said, turning to the child as the others began to spread out, making themselves at home. "How are you doing?"

But you don’t have to worry about me, because I’m not dead yet and I’m going to do my best to stay that way.” It took a little out of Myrnin to reply. It felt like he was losing part of his control on the situation if he admitted anything about the situation he was in. There was just enough logic left in him to understand that the House had already taken any semblance of control that he had over his own "abilities." So, with a sigh, he said, "Yes. I can. Sometimes. Sometimes when I don't want to." He slowly lowered himself, so he was sitting near where the fire would be, only not too close. He'd lost his options. He would be someone else before the night was out, he was sure. He couldn't be, though. He couldn't allow himself to be. "It's the House," he said softly. "Partly, at any rate." He rubbed at his chin, looking at the selection of wood as if there was already a fire burning there. "I can't help it," he breathed. "It's ... just something that happens when ... what I am ... gets older." He chuckled dryly. "Or if they press their luck, like I ... tend to do." He chewed on his lower lip. It was an explanation he wouldn't have gone through if he'd been asked. He would have brushed it off. But this was different. Rue might be facing a vampire without a sense of self at any point. If he killed Rue though ... he wanted her to know why he was the way he was. That it wasn't him. (It was him. Who he was going to be.) He rubbed at the back of his head, then said, "I don't have much time before I ..." He wasn't sure how he should say it. He hadn't said it. Hadn't told Rue anything. He needed to say it. "I wont ... act like how I normally act soon," he said softly, not looking at Rue. "It'll be like tossing a coin about whether I'm a friend or an enemy at any given moment. And there's nothing I can do. Other then dying, anyway." There was a hollow laugh, buzzing up from his throat, and it was difficult not to cry or choke on it. "But I doubt I'll have any chance against the others," he said. "Any chance of losing. When I shift for good ... that will be it. Maybe ... maybe outside of this room too." His eyes narrowed as he looked at the wood, slits of distress and silent anger at what seemed to be a useless fate. "I don't have many options. Get out of this game. Not saving or hurting anyone. It was - is - the best I can do." His eyes flickered to Rue. "And you? What do you intend to do?" He swallowed stiffly. "Would you help me? Or should I leave now?" And hope that he found some other way out of this room. His eyes were hard. "I wasn't lying though. People don't die in the House. Always outside of it. Always. In the House, it just likes ... playing with your mind. Don't let it play with yours."

It was hard to detect any kind of underlying threat, but he still felt odd answering anything without evaluating it first. It didn’t help motivate him that her questions kept requiring answers within a black and white spectrum - but shutting his mouth so early in a conversation just seemed lazy. If her prying became more trouble than it was worth, he’d tell her to shut up. “Some might say.” He answered simply. At her next question he hummed in consideration, glad he wasn’t the only one who noticed the reoccurrence of Earth, and the many versions of it. “Are you not?” He asked, somewhat answering her question offhandedly. Too occupied by his lowered gaze, he didn’t notice her nervousness until she started walking faster. He looked up once she’d created some distance between them, slowly adjusting to meet her new pace. “Woah,” he protested under his breath, though his eyes shifted to the side, and he picked up his pace until he was close behind her again. Despite her stutter, and obvious hesitance with trusting him, she walked with a confidence that came from somewhere. Her social skills were incredibly unimpressive, so he was hoping he could faith in her senses. Hopefully her quickened pace wasn’t a sign she’d dart off without him if things went south...because that would be an issue.

Hook | HG Room | no1
Hook had been standing in the same spot for nearly five minutes, his expression blank. The toes of his boots sat within the last vegetation before a downward decent, a hill which was littered with trees but lacking in the cover of an underbrush. The thick greenery he stood in at the moment abruptly disappeared into short, and scarce grass as the terrain sunk into some kind of gradual valley. From the pirate’s best judgement, there would be some kind of water - or path to it - at the bottom.
Water would inevitably bring other blinkers - and that was the thought that earned his vacant stare. He didn’t have much of a plan for how he’d handle encountering anyone, in fact, he didn’t have plan at all. He didn’t want to kill anyone he didn’t have to, but he certainly didn’t want to just lie down and die. Unfortunately, it also seemed like it was a bad time to try his hand at making allies.
The hardest part about the whole thing, was that he felt painfully like himself; fully conscious of his surroundings and his temptations. If it stayed that way, he was going to have to start making decisions - and it was going to become extremely difficult keeping himself from trying to find to Shade. The more confidence he had over himself, the more he was going to want to work with her...and he knew damn well the House could easily wait to start playing its games until he found her.
The House was a patient entity, but he was a stubborn one, and he wasn’t going to let himself get tricked by it.
In a span of a few short seconds, a soft rustle behind him caused the pirate to turn himself around at rapid speed, standing ready to take the offense. He stood, readily, scanning the area carefully. He was fixated for a long moment before the pulse in his ears slowly crept into his perception, and he reluctantly pulled himself up right. He slowly came to realize that his heart was pounding, and his fist was curled so firm there was strain as he tried to relax. He let out a sharp exhale, shaking out his right hand angrily as he continued to scan the forest behind him. He had no idea what it had been, or how to feel about the sudden surge of adrenaline he’d just experienced, but anticipation left his index finger twitching at his side as he cursed and started his way down the hill.

~∂єѕтιиу"N-No." Eises replied. "I'm from Theia." Elisia to be exact, but Vincent wasn't asking for her country of origin. "'Never heard of Earth until I started showin' up here. I-I think the house really likes it or something." She wondered if the same occurred with humans. Was there an equal amount of humans to non-humans here? Two more rustles, one from behind the trees to their left and another once again to their right. She frowned again, taking more frequent glances to Vincent to make sure he was still behind her. He didn't seem very happy, but she guessed it was due to an entirely different reason. Her heart beat had picked up, and she silently exhaled with her mouth slightly ajar. Her eyes thinned into mere slits as she glanced to her right once more. The path begun to slope downwards, indicating that they were on a flat hill. She fell completely silent, coming in-tune with her senses. The slope steepened, forcing Eises to place her weight onto her feet to prevent herself from falling forwards, much to her irritation. The path was coming closer to its end, but they still had just a bit more to go. The hairs on her arm and back of her neck refused to settle. If anything, they seemed more rigid. Eises didn't want to remove her eyes from her right, but she took a quick glance anyway to her left. They widened when a large, visibly shadow flew towards them straight for Vincent. She yanked her hands out of her pockets with outstretched palms pointed towards the ground. Straightened her elbows down, raising sheets of ice formed below their feet and spread forward. The sheets quickly lifted them a few feet high, forming a steep ramp and forcing both blinkers to quickly slide down the hill. Just before the ice ended right at the entrance to the clearing, Eises leaped forward and landed with a single roll, loosening her fall. She jumped to her feet, her ears flattened completely on her scalp and with part of her sharpened wolf-teeth bared. The clearing was relatively big, with much space to move around. The greenery coloured the distant air a minted-green. She looked upwards and saw no sun or cloud; in fact, she couldn't even see the tops of the trees. The tops were covered by the minted-green fog, but there didn't seem to be any where she was standing. Despite the lack of sun, the clearing was much brighter than the path they just exited out of.

Joey | Mall Room | Rain | A lovely reminder of the house's trap echoed throughout the mall garnering Joey's full attention. Mere moments ago he was just standing watch as usual for the legion's friday night out. It was sort of their thing, whenever the group could get together now with his new job getting in the way of things. Plus, his responsibilities some of which he couldn't be bothered doing half of the time. The teens newest burden to bear surrounded him in confusion and begrudging fear of what exactly it kept launching him into. He gritted his teeth as he slowly made his way over to the noisy room. It sounded like something kept hitting the carpet softly, not exactly violent but sloppy nonetheless. His ears were the best out of the group but he couldn't do much if he'd found some unlucky soul. To think there was someone unlucky as him, it made him hold back a harsh laugh. When walking near one of the closest stores he could have sworn seeing something move out of the corner of his eye but he paid no mind to whatever his imagination had been putting him through. Getting turned into a skeleton, surrounded by strangers, and forced to be chased by some freak! Enough was enough, surely the others would understand even if he didn't talk about it to his friends. Susie would have been great to talk to, but she would have spilled the beans to either Julie or Frank, who might change their view of him. Not exactly a thought he would further explore when the delinquent finally reached the video game store. One couldn't be too risky, he pulled out his karambit from one of the many clips on his shoulder strap. His hands curled fittingly around the blade it had been quite the find in the pawnshop. Regardless of how this would end, he wanted out if it meant anything. Cautious as his steps had been since he'd set foot inside the smoothly run mall Joey barged into the small video game store pushing his way through the store avoiding the promotional stands and cut out of a yellow ball eating ghosts. It was a good thing he'd been out with the gang, his mask and get up would cover his identity if there were cameras or security strolling by. Rushing in just as he did he pulled the double edged onto the source of the all the struggling. Without much of a second thought he kneeled down with a surge of vigor, grabbing the individual around the throat. Essentially the stranger had been put in quite the situation, er, chokehold which a dear friend of his had recently taught him to do. Tangles of cables, wires, and what have you blocked the knife from slicing into the man's throat right then and there. By using his right arm which held both Matt and the knife, he had himself preoccupied with another matter. "Now would be a good time to start talking." Salsa | Living room room | Anika | "That's the spirit!" Salsa cheered on watching in admiration of the emperor's destructive potential. Who knew being stuck in a cramped little space was livelier when you had a undead threat? A joyful as it had been all good things must come to an end. Salsa knew better then to allow the destruction to flourish into something that actually trap them inside the never ending room. "Great work, its a shame this needs to stop since rooms are fickle things. You see, the room which we're currently residing in seems to repeat making things difficult to find a way out." She chided marching over towards the blue bean bags from her destroyed spot of the wall. "What we need to do next is tiresome, I know, but I can guarantee an escape if we find clues in this area."That being said, she flipped over one of the bean bags as if it were light as a feather. Upon flipping it over revealed a small red x was at the bottom. "This x means...something. Rooms are basically living puzzles but some are more time sensitive and dangerous than others. Doubt there's anything that would actually harm us for now, just keep an eye out for stranger things." Salsa let the piece of furniture fall to the ground her attention peaked by the other blue bean bags in the area. Given the five heads and her fast reputation, she wrockened that this would would be done sooner than most. It was only the two - six of them inside the room what could possibly go wrong?
