Oh, it also bothers me when people get incorrect eye colors of cats whose eye color should be obvious. I mean, cats like in the background, I don't care. But come on, Jayfeather doesn't have yellow eyes. That should be obvious.

Idk why, but that bothers me a lot, too. I think once I saw a drawing where the inside of their mouth was colored the same as their eyes, which is odd. Yay! I'm not the only one! I've seen that too. I think that I have the inside of their mouth, paw pads, and claws be the same colour as their eyes. I much rather see "emo hair" than that, I've seen some art go so far as to include blood that's the same color as their eyes. Just imagine the aftermath of a battle and there's colorful puddles just lying everywhere (which sounds humorous, no doubt). Like, come on. Just stick to the noses and mouths at most.

I honestly don't have that many peeves with Warriors art because a lot of the time it's style choices (like the nose being the same colors as eyes I think is cute), but the ONE THING that gets me (which, to be fair, the books themselves do this) is how small kits are portrayed? Like, I've seen artists that draw kits the same size as an adult cats head? Which, at BEST is only accurate for a newborn kitten. Cat's grow fast, a 6 moon old apprentice would be almost fully grown.

Another thing: When cats are drawn with human-like eyes with smaller irises and huge whites.
Like I know this is a stylistic thing, but I'm a realistic artist, so sit just really annoys me personally.

- I'm not a huge fan of noses being the same color as the eyes - I prefer characters having realistic eye colors like amber, copper, green, etc. None of that purple or red eye colors - When characters are drawn with super saturated colors like bright orange Squirrelflight/Firestar, Bluestar - When stripes are added to solid characters. For example, to cats like Dovewing - This isn't a huge peeve for me, but when designs of characters are completely changed. I understand that an artist is entitled to their own designs/interpretations. And a lot of changes are nice or look fine, but they don't match the cat. For example, I've seen a nice design of Ivypool, but she was a dark gray tabby with with a little white. Though this is more of a minor nitpick of mine. - I don't like shapes being added in the fur. For example, hearts on the fur for cats like Brightheart, stars for leaders, perfect triangles, etc.

honestly i'm always going to be an advocate for brightly colored unrealistic and cartoony warriors art and fun stylization. unrealistically coloring the nose/mouth/blood etc. is pretty much always a stylization thing often done to reduce the color palette and while i usually don't do it myself (except the blood thing sometimes) i can see why people do it.
realistic art is pretty and all but it just doesn't grab me as much as more stylized stuff, yknow?? i guess i'm just more firmly in the "fun" corner instead of the "practical" corner
i'm not a big fan of anime hair poofs though, especially over the eyes. i very rarely see them done in a way that i actually like, often coming off as just being slapped onto an already finished picture.

Pretty much everything I hate has already been said on this, so I won't list them all. I do have one though, when people draw Cinderpelt with scratches on her legs, instead of it just being twisted and broken with maybe a few hairless patches. How did a car scratch her in the way a cat would? It doesn't make sense...

When people draw Bramblestar looking nothing like Tigerstar. They're meant to look nearly identical, boi! Their facial expressions and Tiger's muzzle scars should let the viewer know who's who. Also, when every cat looks the same body-wise. I remember seeing a MAP part where Tigerstar and Firestar are fighting or smthn but they're like adorable chibis and it was very pretty and well-done, but... they could've passed for littermates. It was just uncanny. Also does anyone remember that phase where people drew Scourge with, like, red eyeliner? One thing I LOVE, though, is the idea of him wearing a skull. E D G Y <this is what I mean. Boi been visiting Sephora

When people draw Tigerstar basically as big as any other cat, especially Scourge. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure he was supposed to be this big looming cat that towered over everybody a large majority of the time. It's a big chunk of the reason as to why nobody messed with him.
Or when people draw Brokenstar with an individual scratch over each eye. That bugs me way more than it probably should, honestly. Scourge is small....

I find the emo hairstyles for every cat a little annoying. Especially if everything is badly done in MS paint with emo hairstyles.

Actually, someone said cats are almost full grown at 6 moons/months. It usually depends on the type, I've raised some wild-born cats, and most the time they are very small until about a year of age, but start growing quickly around 4-6 months, Especially at 6 months, that usually whenever cats start their respective traits, being dominant, being skittish, being sweet and such. This is probably why they are made apprentice at 6 moons, is because they are starting to mature with their attitudes. Yes they are bigger then a newborn, but they are still very smal, creatures. Which is why you don't see younger apprentices in battles that often. At 8 moons they usually start growing in a more full grown size. But it's usually between the 12-15 month mark that cats achieve full maturity. But until 6 moons they are revitively small.
I also agree, realistic art is cool, but I myself draw in a more stylistic way, cartoonish. I prefer it more because it let's me do my art my own way. As my avatar you can see I'm not a master at art, but still practicing, I do it for fun.
But what does get on my nerves are ridiculously long fur that miraculously covers a cats face. But often times I find the fur over an eye nice. In the comin 'Yin and Yang' by Hawktalon, the long fur is described on one of the main characters. The reason is that the medicine cat wanted to preserve the fur around that eye because she was 'blind in it'.
Another thing is a non powered cat or canon cat having red eyes or magenta eyes or emerald neon green.
Also how awkward positions are used. I like to stick to headshots usually to avoid them.
One last thing, perhaps my biggest fault with warriors art is the use of plain expressions, which I used to do. Throughout time I've tried different shapes of eyes to yield a better look. A rhombus for an eye shape base isn't too bad!
My specialities usually include humans though, just offering my ideas.

When people give them bangs. Also when they do cats as humans, it bothers me so much that they put ears on the human. But that's just me, I know a few people who do that. Also when they don't get the colors of the pelt right.stars on the leaders head too. That's all I can think of but there's probably a lot more

I think what people refer to is overly cartoonish cats that hardly resemble cats anymore or the overly fake hair that pops out of nowhere.

I low-key like the forehead stars. I headcanon that the skin under the fur of a leader's forehead gains/loses pigment in the shape of a star there (because if you're gonna be a magic cat, might as well get a magic tattoo too)

When people make the cat's noses the same colour, as their eyes I seem to be the only one is bothered by that. For example Firestar having a green nose. Am I the only one who is bothered by this? Believe me, you're definitely not the only one. I mean, it doesn't really irk me, I just find it to be a weird design choice. Also, sometimes it makes the characters look like they've got colds or something along the lines of that. And same with the claws/paw pads/inside of mouth being the same color. Unless it's a sparklecat, then I don't have any qualms with it because hey, who am I to decide sparklecat biology? ..And, looking at later replies in this thread, I did not know that drawing cats with flat teeth was a thing until this evening. Whelp, there's some nightmare fuel for you. Also same with the "nekoizing" of humanized warriors. Please no. I never want to see another anime-esque human with ears ever again.

I've got another one, but this is more of my opinion. I draw all of my humanized warrior cats with cat ears and tails, but I only like this if it's done well. Most of the time, the cat-people thing isn't well executed, and they just become typical "cute little neko people", which I don't really like.
But some people want to draw their Human!Warriors with a bit of feline aspects, and cat ears and tails are one of them. I've actually had my cat-people called "furries" before, I personally find that disheartening. But as I said, I only like the "cat-people" thing if it's done well. To each his own, though.

I don't have any pet peeves really, except one massively huge one:
Crookedstar's tongue sticking out. And not just slightly, literally as if someone had yanked the whole thing out and it was permanently drooping to the side. What the heck? His name was Crookedjaw, not Floppytongue.

The stars on the head can be bothering.
Star shapes are a human concept, do you any 5 pointed stars in our sky?
Nope, so...if you want to add a really random dot on their head, alright, but...why a five pointed star?
Though in some ways it can look nice, it just...doesn't make sense?
