So I was reading Mistystar's Omen and...
But didn't Mistystar always know Oakheart was her father? At least I'm pretty sure she and the rest of the Clan thought Oakheart was her and Sonefur's father and Graypool was their mother... So am I getting my facts wrong or is this a mistake?

I think he means that he died so early on in her life. I know she was already grown when it happened, but he missed out on her having kits, becoming deputy, and all the other milestones that a father normally is around for. That's just how I interprete that line.

I can't remember, but maybe Misty and Stone only saw him as a father figure and they didn't know he was their ACTUAL father? like blood related father? was this ever said in the books or what?

I'm pretty sure it was common knowledge among the clans, including Misty and Stone that Oakheart was their father. |

i just re-read the first series, and i'm 99% sure Oakheart brought Graypool the kits (Mistystar and Stonefur) and said he found them?
yup, i just checked the wiki page and Oakheart suggests that they're the kits of rogues or from twolegs, but pleads with Graypool to take them, or else they would die. so no, Mistystar would not know that Oakheart was their blood father until after the revelation that Bluestar was their mother.

According to Fire and Ice, Mistystar always knew that Oakheart was her father and believed that Graypool was her mother.
CP seems to imply that they don't know and MO seems to do the same.

hmm, i never thought of that - i always assumed that since Graypool didn't have to tell who their father was, she simply didn't. that's very strange.
