yet anther rlly old piece of artwork, it was a quick painting that took 15-30 minutes jsut to get the idea accross but. My idea of the dark forest is not entirely a dark place with o stars. My theory is that it used to be connected to starclan and starclan was just one big open area for all cats to go to when they die, but when the mountain cats moved to form the clans and more cats got corrupted, starclan broke off a piece of their afterlife territory to banish bad cats, and it just floats far away from starclan, with only starclan cats being able to access going there and coming out. that's why theres little bits of stars scattered, and the orangle glow is starclan acting like a moon. where light is shining on starclan, it gives an eerie glow to the dark forest as a reminder of what the cats who now remain here gave up and what they will never have as they fade away. but thats just my onion.... tbh i'd love to do more concept art like this so if theres anything you'd like to see my personal take/view on post in the comments and i might took into it 0:

woahhh this is so cool it's so eery and atmospheric! i love that you used warmer reds and browns instead of colder colors. i think a lot of times when people think of somewhere dark and spooky, they think of greys and blues, but red speaks more to all the symbolic anger and betrayal in the dark forest anyway that's my cat meta for the night

ohhhh this is so cool!!! I love how it's space-y that's very unique! I love your theory behind it's origins!
Do you have any ideas for what the loner/rogue/kittypet afterlife would be like?

This would be hard to conceptualize in a drawing but I personally HC them to not really have like a free for all afterlife, but their afterlife is just the life they lived over and over again until they eventually fade out of memory as well
