Haha, yeah... Nightkit is pretty intense. She's the character I'm most frustrated with, being entirely honest.

I nearly forgot about today's update, I've been so tired. All the main characters are introduced now, I think!
I was skimming over the prophecy and saw the words "On a quest to wrong a right" and now I am even more confused than ever.

Me: reads good writing
Me: time to read over this old story!
Me: ... why did I skip forward a week and then move back a week for the following chapter? How did this kit teleport? What time does this chapter even take place? What are consistent chapter lengths? Why are these tenses so weird?
Anyways, I've updated two chapters today since I am going to be gone from the 19th to the 23rd, so we're missing Thursday's chapter. Next update will be next week Monday!

Hey, everyone remember when The Last Hope just came out and everyone thought it was the best thing ever and an excellent ending to the series and then the Erin Hunters decided to stretch it out for at least two more series? Yeah, me too. Am I the only one who hated it? xD I remember that several people complained about it being rushed and wanted another series. Then they got there wish and were pretty unhappy about it. Ah well...

To be honest, I don't really remember much of what happened around that time. My memory can be pretty awful. Anyways, I thought that would have been the perfect place to end the series since Firestar, and I think I bought the first book of the next series and then lost interest in the entire series and stopped reading. Then again, I don't remember much of what happened!

I remember the confusion over how Firestar had died. xD I remember it because it was the year I became a member after forever (after two years of watching). My first topic was about how I thought the Warrior series wasn't going to end (I knew about Dawn of the Clans, but I meant that timeline). Turns out I was right. But I would have liked it better if we got to see a clan other than ThunderClan.

Yeah, I remember all that confusion too! I think the Erins had to release an official statement or something. It was symbolic, which was cool, but also just made everything very confusing. I remember a lot of the discussions being like "so he survived the fight with Tigerstar but got killed by a burning tree?? How anticlimatic??" Yeah, I was getting a little tired of seeing only ThunderClan all the time as well. There is a new series continuing the timeline, right? How is that? (if you still read the books, of course)

Yeah. It picks up with Squirrelflight's kits. So we are still doing the Firestar line as well. I still read the books, but not as soon as they come out anymore. I'm still on Thunder and Shadow.

Interesting! Squirrelflight can have kits? I thought she couldn't, unless I missed something obvious in the last book.

At the end of Bramblestar's Storm It's revealed that she was lied to by Yellowfang, who said she couldn't have kits, so that she'd take care of the Three as her own. So she actually can have kits, but never did.

I'm back from vacation! I really did not know what I was doing with this story. We randomly skip three months in the middle of the chapter and it is only just over 600 words. Dear 12-year-old me: why??? So, chapter 7 is up.

We ask that question to our younger self all the time. I need to do a then-now comparison.

Oh, definitely. I can hardly read anything that I wrote a couple of years ago. Even my first draft of my current project is unreadable at times. It is really amazing though to see how much I've improved! It doesn't even seem that way; I never had a "oh yes this is much better than the stuff I wrote in seventh grade" moment but looking back there is such a definite improvement over the last four years. Makes you really think about how far you've gone how much further there is to go.

Oh no I forgot to update this on Thursday didn't I?? I'll do that right now.
It's not so much typos as it is overall quality, I guess? Nowadays my descriptions are better, my sentence structure is better, and I would like to think my plot and characters are as well. There's more symbolism and meaning whereas my writing style four years ago was "hey how about i just throw a bunch of words on the page right now whee words haha what do you mean meaningful writing." I am honestly super proud of my most recent work so far. It's not at the publishable level, not nearly, but it is such an improvement that I feel much better.
Aaanyways chapter eight! There is... conflict? Is it honestly conflict? Can we call this conflict? Oh well, it's kit drama.

Honestly I believe the worst part of this chapter is that I thought this behaviour was justified and no one would protest.
Chapter 9 is up!

Chapter ten is up and on schedule by some miracle! I had to change one little thing that was a spelling error but it doesn't distract from the old quality of this story. Anyways! Streampaw goes on an adventure. This was at the bidding of the friend who Streampaw was based off of. I was an easily swayed child, but I guess it makes sense if you completely ignore the atrocious prophecy I made up in five minutes that's really quite obvious.

My 2012 self didn't think so. XD She couldn't figure out that prophecy at all.

My 2012 self is glad you didn't figure it out! I have probably never gotten any better at writing prophecies. I lack subtlety. XD

I do plot twists better than I do prophecies.

Same here! Prophecies need to sound pretty and ideally rhyme and need to be subtle but not too subtle-- sigh. This is why I never got into poetry.

I'd say 'same here' but it would get repetitive. XD I never really got around to writing poetry much. It isn't my strongest skill at all.

It isn't mine either. I really like pretty words, but I can never get them to flow poetically enough so I just throw them into novels instead.
