Hey everyone! I've been wanting to make this thread for a long time, and I'm glad I'm finally able to on these new forums! The focus of this thread is for Pagans, Wiccans, Witches, etc to come together and talk about their crafts and experiences. While these groups are the focus here, all religions are welcome! There are, however, some guidlines:
-Please, no inflammatory comments. This includes telling someone they're going to hell/hades/etc etc etc. telling them their religion is "false" or "wrong" or otherwise condemning others for their beliefs. -Be respectful at all times! Not just to each other, but to any deities/gods or spirits that may be the topic of discussion. TLDR, don't insult someone else's God/s. -This is an accepting thread, if you haven't already gathered that. All are welcome here, regardless of religion, orientation, gender, or race. This is not exclusive.
Things you can talk about here:
-Your path, your beliefs/any moral code you may follow -Deities you work with -Spells and other magickal workings you've done -Books you've read -Religious/Spiritual experiences you've had -Meditation -Divination, such as with a pendulum or tarot cards -Share your pages from your grimoir/book of shadows
Really, anything to do with religion or spirituality is welcomed here!
Want to join in? There's no form, all you have to do is post a little bit about yourself!
I'm Goji/Sig, I'm an ecclectic hard polytheist and witch. I really like divination and working with deities/spirits, as well as working on my grimoire!

I thought religious discussion was against the rules?
Edit: the rule in question seems to have been removed. Odd.

You just can't make threads that say things such as "this thread is for ONLY this religious group, everyone else is banned from posting!!" or attack others for their beliefs- discussion must remain civilized.

Pretty cool to have this around, and hopefully forumers are civilized enough to keep it alive and going - I have high hopes here.
Personally, I was raised Protestant (mother's a pastor), but the gist for me is that I believe at all, not quite literally in a wise old father up in heaven or specific tales. Hence, I am open for and welcome all forms of theism c':
Here lies the abyss, the well of all souls. From these emerald waters doth life begin anew. Come to me, child, and I shall embrace you. In my arms lies Eternity.

I'm also quite hopeful for this thread. I trust that the community is civil enough to not get this removed, hopefully nobody will prove me wrong. that's interesting!! i've always wondered what it would be like to have a parent as a pastor or other religious figure like that.

Well, my mother was always rather civil about it. Sure, she sort of dragged me to service from time to time as a child, but honestly, what child enjoys sitting around for 45 minutes or an hour, listening to someone boring hold a speech that you understand nothing of? You won't find many. She also sent me into confirmation class, but let me decide whether I wanted to take my confirmation and what to do after that. I never had to attend service once a week or anything like that, which, in retrospect, would probably hve scared me away from religion. On top of that, I was lucky to have a brilliant religion teacher for the last four years of my school time. Before that, I only remember colouring mandalas (a.k.a. really boring lessons), but those four years really had me learning so much. And I always was really integrated into our community, thanks to my mom and the rural atmosphere of her field of influence.
Here lies the abyss, the well of all souls. From these emerald waters doth life begin anew. Come to me, child, and I shall embrace you. In my arms lies Eternity.

It's basically beliefs that everything is set in motion by a force of nature, which operates under the laws of physics, among other things.

yo yo so I'm aphrodite's daughter/Alex/Al. I'm a solitary Wiccan with a mentor in Texas. I've been practicing for four years now and work heavily with the Greek pantheon(I know, I know, soooo common). my patron goddess is Aphrodite, followed closely by Persephone/Kore and Hecate. Freyja is also included in the mix and maybe Quetzalcoatl but that's something I'm still trying to figure out. Ceridwen is there, too. I mainly do prayers and worship and focus on finishing my book of shadows.

It's lovely to meet all of you and hear about your religions/paths! I need to work on my book of shadows, maybe I'll do some of that tonight. I'm re-purposing an old children's dictionary for it! I just paste writing, flowers, illustrations, etc etc over the words and since it's a children's dictionary there's a lot of pictures already in it that I like to keep on the page. it's good fun

hello! i am a catholic (a liberal, gay catholic, but a catholic). this is a nice thread to see! ^ this tbh it is really good to be able to finally see threads like this-- i think it's a good way to get people to bond and get a look at others's beliefs!! which, in turn, leads to better understanding of a person, imo

I've always thought belief systems like this interesting
'My cousin is Wiccan, while everyone else in my family is Catholic
So like, what are you central beliefs? How does it work?

hello everyone!! it's really great to see people coming together and posting without being at each others throats. hopefully that'll continue! @ wolf ;;;; yeah that makes sense! if you're interested in it, try researching it :0 the worst that can happen is it's not for you, and you'll have some cool knowledge in your arsenal. that's how i started out, and i was raised very christian. Nιɳʝα☯ ;; my central beliefs are that you reap what you sow, that there's something beyond this seen realm and that when we die we either reincarnate or move on to that other place, i believe in all gods (but only work with/honor a few) and I follow Ma'at, which is sort of kind of like a longer version of the ten commandments but can be summed up with "don't be a tool to people"

Hello! I'm Tide! I currently don't really know my religion, but I am a witch; I just keep my craft separate from my religion (or lack there of right now since I'm confused, aha ;; ). Although I do have two spirit companions.
How are you guys?
