Hello! So basically, like the title states, this will be a U.S government based Clan except this could potentially be a true democracy instead of representatives.
This is where I will be posting everything before I put it on a main Clan page so feel free to make suggestions!
The Hamilton Warrior Cats MAPs and AMVs inspired me for this Clan. LOL
Ranks:
Mainly like a normal Clan structure with a few changes.
Commander- leader of the Clan. Proposes laws and makes major decisions for the Clan after a hearing has been held in which all cats older than 8 moons vote for or against a law, code, amendment, or decision that will affect every cat. Can be voted out. Can only spend 4 years in office and must be voted for again.
Deputy- second-in-command. This cat organizes battle patrols, leads the military, and helps the commander suggest and bring new laws, codes, and amendments to light. Can only spend 4 years in office and must be voted for again.
Counsel Advisers(6)- cats who advise both the deputy and the commander. Mainly senior warriors.
Healers- heal injuries and sickness.
Sergeants- teach apprentices how to become warriors. These cats have more battle experience than any other cats excluding the commander, deputy, and the counsel advisers.(Maybe)
Warriors- cats who are the backbone of the Clan. They fight in battle, patrol the borders, and guard camp. They also hunt prey, drive out predators, and care for queens, kits, and elders.
Apprentices- in training to become warriors. They are taught by warriors or possibly sergeants.
Queens- she-cats expecting and/or nursing kits. They remain queens until their kits become 6 moons old.
Kits- cats younger than 6 moons old.
Veterans- retired warriors and counsel members. They are to be treated with the utmost respect and care.
The Laws of the Clan
1. Killing is strictly forbidden unless it is necessary for self-defense and the cat in question is outside the code.
2. A cat convicted of a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Any cat may defend another in the court of law. A cat may not be exiled, killed, or punished for the crime they are accused of committing unless solid evidence is shown and three witnesses all confirm the cat is guilty of said crime.
3. In order to vote, cats must be at least 8 moons of age. This is necessary because cats younger than that don't fully understand politics and the consequences or benefits of what they would be voting for if they were allowed to vote.
4. Any cat that 21 moons or older may run for the position of commander.
