[p style="font-family:Blackadder ITC;font-size:50px;padding-left:0px;text-shadow:black 0px 0px 30px;text-align:center;"]Hi[/p] [div style="border:25px double lightrust;border-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;padding:10px;box-shadow:black 0px 0px 5px 5px;text-align:center;background:darkrust;"] [div style="border:10px solid rust;border-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;padding:1px;text-align:center;background:black;"] [p] [/p] [p][span style="color:#000000;"][/p] [p]..[/p] [p] [/p] [p] [/p] [/div] [/div] [p style="text-align:center;"][span][em][strong][span style="color:#ffffff;"] [/span][/strong][/em][/span][/p]
Help me! I'd love this layout but with rusty burnt orange color like this in dark and light with black background for New Blood and i can't get the code to work. I think I may have obliterated some important command.

Hi I don't know if this is what you wanted exactly, but I managed to get the right colors for you! Here is the coding if you want to mess with it a little. [p style="font-family:Blackadder ITC;font-size:50px;padding-left:0px;text-shadow:black 0px 0px 30px;text-align:center;"][font color="f9cd8b"]Hi[/font][/p] [div style="border:25px double lightrust;border-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;padding:10px;box-shadow:black 0px 0px 5px 5px;text-align:center;background:darkrust;"] [div style="border:10px solid rust;border-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;padding:1px;text-align:center;background:black;"] [p] [/p] [p][span style="color:#000000;"][/span][/p] [p][font color="cb7c03"]words words words[/font][/p] [p] [/p] [p] [/p] [/div] [/div] [p style="text-align:center;"][span][em][strong][span style="color:#ffffff;"] [/span][/strong][/em][/span][/p]

Thanks- After my errands I play with it. Had one of my stick HDs died last night and lost a couple of files that I really should have kept backed up every week, UGH. Just gave myself so much extra work. Can't use those like a regular HD. . .found that out the hard way.

What do you want it to look like exactly? If you can explain it, I can make it work. Right now, the code's so jumbled up I don't even know what it's supposed to look like!

Yeah i think I mucked with it too much. But I think I'll try what you did with NEW BLOOD. Now I have to pretty much erase everything then put the code in and repost?

This is what I was looking far! Perhaps the border a darker shade than the text? Just in case when it left justifies it goes too far left!OK I put the code in Section three and I LIKE it! Only issue is it justifies right to the edge. How can I get some space between the text and border??

Hi! Just so you're aware, Blackadder ITC is no longer a default Windows font, and hasn't been since Win7. This means that although it might render on your screen, your readers won't be seeing the same thing. It's currently showing up as Times New Roman on my screen, which probably isn't what you want. You'll need some fallbacks or try using Google Fonts if you want something really fancy. Other than that, play it safe by sticking to the fonts in the dropdown, and get a friend to check it's rendering the same on different systems. —your local typography nerd xx

Please help me! Silly site won't let me save my changes! All I did was cut and paste text into the new layout! I did not make the chapters longer or anything yet it is telling me I exceeded some character limit! SINCE WHEN>? Section One with the prologue, summary, and chaps 1-5 is LONGER!

Sappho also made a good resource for fonts that work on Proboards: wcrpforums.com/thread/2277/fonts-work-on-bbcodeA positive padding value? Idk, maybe you can't overrule the default values. What does the code look like, the part you're having trouble with? I'm probably the wrong person to ask but I'll try to help And idk what's happening with the word limit thing, you could maybe get one of the mods to check it.

I got around the limit by moving one chapter into the next section..not sure why I was getting it since before I added the layou it didn't f give mme the limit message. Anyway about the justification here is the 1st part of the code. .

So what I do first when faced with one of these issues is use the Inspect Element feature on Chrome (or Opera) which can be accessed with ctrl+shift+i on the page you want to use it on. puu.sh/qtXQx/2eae2f1f9e.jpgClick on the little arrow guy and click on the element you want to inspect. It'll show you the attributes effecting it on the right under the Computed tab. The green one is the one you're looking to change (I think) so if you give it a padding-left value of 3 or so that should fix it.

I'm almost 60 years old and I never imagined I'd be meddling in code! It is kinda fun, but also frustrating. Hubby told me I should take a coding class. LOL

I was about to suggest cheating by making another div around the paragraph... And it's never too late to learn coding is a great skill that draws on and teaches logic systems, and I wish I knew more!

I went into the code and I think its the 2nd -font color="f9ec29"]sentence , this one [/b][/font]"[div style="border:10px solid rust;border-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;padding:10px;text-align:center;background:black;" I changed the number where it says :padding:10px:text etc from 1px to 10px.
