The routinely black space surrounded them as it had every time they escaped somewhere. It felt less draining than usual because with the other man's thoughts, he was partly doing the work. He hoped that this would go as planned. The earth swirled, they were being squeezed through the vortex and finally landed in a desolate area in front of yet another run down place, but bigger. It was a wooden house, he knew what it was but right now the mortal word for it couldn't reach his mind. "This it?" He turned his head to his companion. ___________________________________________________
"Y-yes." Madeline stammered, shocked at how he had addressed her by it. It sounded strange now, unfamiliar. She backed up against the wall opposite him again, feeling small and vulnerable off the training mat. Something must have been up.

"Yes, this is it," the Asset replied with a deep nod, heading towards the little cabin. By little, he meant it was smaller than most modern houses. Two stories, but minuscule, with a kitchen, living room, bathroom, and two bedrooms on the upper level. Heading up the porch, he reached into a crack in the wooden boards that made up the wall and pulled out a key, unlocking the door and swinging it open, walking inside without waiting for Loki. He was so tired and hungry, and had no active orders than he could follow, so he immediately booked it for the kitchen.
---
He nodded, glancing to the corner of the dingy cell. Something pained him behind his eyes, but he continued, pronouncing each syllable carefully, "I... I don't know my name." He glanced towards the door as he spoke, but no one had broken through yet. No information, they had told him. Nothing personal. Not that he had anything personal to tell. Zap. He cracked his neck again, the pain behind his eyes growing unbearable for a moment. Zap.

He marched right in behind. His tall, black boots clunked loudly on the wood when he stepped on them, which ignored. Some of the windows were cracked open. It was dark and dusty, not like Asgard at all with it's regal architecture and cleanliness.... At least it was better than the other place they had stayed in. Light was filtering out of another room which he assumed was where the other man was. His stomach cramped with hunger, he hadn't even eaten since arriving on this planet. Loki walked into the kitchen, and was never so happy about seeing one in his life, being used to the pampered life he had been raised in. ________________________________
"You.. don't?" She tipped her head to the side just a little. After hearing him say that, and the fear that rang in his voice, made the cell seem to close in even more. A small tick of sadness entered her heart to hear it. Pity? Maybe. Being stuck was hard, but to not even know anything about yourself, that was awful. The only detail she could remember about herself was her name, and even that was fuzzy. She wasn't sure if she had been assigned that name, and then somehow it had registered with her head.

The Asset was pulling meat and cheese and bread out from the refrigerator. He sniffed each of them in turn, curling his nose at the cheese, and tossing it into the trashcan a couple of feet away. "Do you want a sandwich?" he questioned, going to find some plates. His stomach grumbled out loud as he fished through a cabinet, pulling out two yellowing, chipped plates, setting them by the materials he had gotten out. He never went this long without eating. He knew it, even with all the gaps in his memory that became increasingly more obvious the longer he went without being in the chair. Being wiped didn't matter right now though. He was starving.
---
"No," he confirmed, looking up to meet her eye, "I do not believe I have one." He glanced away again, jaw clenching and hands wringing together as, suddenly, the door to the cell opened. The man from earlier stood there, face hard as he looked at the man on the chair, and barked, voice hard: "Come here." The man, Adam's apple bobbing, shuffled his feet and then got up, not looking a Madeline as he passed by her and towards the man, who grabbed his arm and looked to the woman behind them. "Come with me," he told her, walking her handler, who was staring at the floor now, out of the room.

Loki shrugged. "Sure." Anything sounded good at this point. Loki used his sorcery to close the cabinets while the other man made the sandwiches. He leaned against the counters, arms crossed and waited while eyeing the bread. He felt pathetic. He was a God, and he was desperate. For bread. ____________________________________________________
Madeline's senses went on alert. She really didn't want to, but did anyways. She moved quick past the new guard until she was out of the cell and instinctively stood closer to her trainer on his side away from the other guard. His presence made her feel safer since she'd been around him more. Her mind was telling her to grab his arm, but she didn't. She watched the leader with tired eyes.

The Asset set a sandwich in front of him after a moment, finishing his own. He had always been taught to serve those he was working with before himself, so this he did, as usual. "You look hungry," he commented a bit warily, as he finished up his own, not even letting it touch the plate before he took a hulking bite of it. He was hungry too, but Loki looked starved, like he hadn't eaten in weeks.
---
The superior led them into one of the other sparring rooms, directing the man to the mat, and pointing Madeline to stand by the wall. "Do you want to see what happens," he asked, picking up a nightstick from one of the racks, "when you disobey orders here?" Twirling it as he stepped onto the rubber, he hefted it and all but looked gleeful as he struck the other man in the stomach. Madeline's nameless trainer staggered, gritting his teeth, but didn't retaliate as the nightstick cracked him in the head, and did so again, and again, and again, all over his body, until he was lying on the mat, arms over his head as the other man beat his forearms and legs and stomach, seemingly not caring if he at all hurt him.

Loki gave a nod but stayed quiet and bit into the sandwich. It wasn't the tastiest thing he'd ever had, but the flavor filled his mouth. Even after swallowing once, he was beginning to feel much better with something to eat in front of him. "Thanks." he said briefly. He looked around for a napkin to wipe the crumbs on the corner of his mouth, but didn't see any. ___________________________ Madeline gasped, stood there, frozen. She flinched every time the stick met his body. It was torturing her just to watch. Gathering up as much courage as she could muster in the pit of her stomach, she pleaded. "Stop it!" her voice screeched. "He's done nothing wrong." The tears were coming again. Again, she was putting herself in a dangerous situation. This stranger had a stick and was using it to injure. She was only wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts, he could lash out at her and get her bare skin, but then it would distract him from hitting the man with the metal arm.

"You're welcome," he replied softly, with a nod, using his own hoodie sleeve to wipe his mouth. The sandwich had been wolfed down in a couple bites, and he shoved the meat and bread back into the fridge, putting his plate in the sink and leaning against the counter, eyes half closed. He could've slept for ten hours, but it was only around nine in the morning. His body told him not to go to sleep. "I'm going to go and make sure the house is clear," he said, knowing full well he should've done that first, but without another word he headed towards the living room.
---
The man ignored her, beating the man in the stomach again and asking, "What else did you tell her, huh?" The man didn't respond, other than a nearly invisible shake of his head. "Oh, you didn't tell her anything? Really?" He hit him again, pulling out a phone as he did so and flipping it open, hitting a button and saying; "Yeah, hey, he's malfunctioning again.... well why should I have anything to do with that?... you're the one who hasn't wiped him in two weeks... yeah, I'll bring him down after I'm done teaching him a lesson."

Loki felt awkward standing there silently in the kitchen while the other man left to work. He was stuck to his spot. He glanced down at the empty plate and up again, sighed, and shoved it away to another end of the counter to be washed later. He walked nonchalantly into the other room, seeing him putting away things. Loki's hands were clasped together behind his back, but he muttered a few words that might help to speed up the process. It had been a favorite trick of his when he was a child if Frigga ever scolded him to tidy up a mess he had made. Thor had always been jealous of it then. ________________________________________________ Tell me what? As far as she could remember, that was the complete opposite of what he had been doing. Madeline tried to recall the combat moves she had learned. This was utterly one of the stupidest decisions she had ever made, she decided. To fight in her condition against someone who had a way bigger advantage over her. She scrunched up her face and punched and kicked like she'd been taught. It was sloppy but who really had time to ponder form in a time like this?

The Asset watched a cup levitate wordlessly, not even turning to look at Loki as he glanced under the old, dusty sofas, and checked the various cabinets around the room. After a moment he turned, finally looking over at Loki and saying, "I'll go check upstairs. Animals get in, sometimes." He turned again, heading up the creaky flight of stairs, and though his footfalls were surprisingly light for how heavy he seemed, they still shuddered and groaned under his boots.
---
[[ if you wanna get them out of here, s.h.i.e.l.d. could always make a little appearance. ]]
The superior fought back, swinging the stick at her, as the man on the ground began to struggle to his feet. He didn't want him to hit her. They would hurt her. She was no use to them hurt. She was no use to him hurt. His ribs ground together though, and he winced, dropping onto a knee before beginning to struggle up again, watching his superior swing at Madeline. Stop, stop...

Loki nodded, he didn't go up but stayed on the first floor finishing up the work he was doing. After the room looked fairly decent he strolled back to the front door and went outside. He stood on the porch silently and scanned the area. The sun was already up, but birds were still making their rounds to search for breakfast on the ground. It wasn't as elegant as a morning on Asgard, but it seemed nice and peaceful for once outside the hectic dwellings of the city. [Sorry if that wasn't really good, I couldn't think of something.]
______________________________ ['kay, so like now?]
The stick smacked her hard in her abdomen around the area that her guard had gotten her earlier during the session, but this felt much worse. She fell backwards holding her stomach. Everything was growing fuzzy and stars formed on the edge of her vision. Madeline wanted to keep fighting but the pain continued to surge through her, and it was hard to breath, it was stifled. There was a pounding sound coming from outside the door, getting louder and louder...

About five minutes later, the door quietly opened and shut again behind Loki. The man came out, silently, coming to stand by the other man with his hands on the banister of the porch. He had no clear concept of beauty or peace anymore. The sight of the birds and the sun and the quiet did not move him in any way. "We might have to move again soon," he said simply, rubbing at his shoulder.
---
[[ sure, i guess! ]]
This was when the man on the floor finally got up, lunging at the man with the stick, knocking him to the floor. There was a tangle of limbs and incoherent yelling for a moment, and then silence, as the metal hand put a dent in the other man's head with a sickening snap. Straddling him, the man wobbled, staring down at the man's bloodied face, before paling, and collapsing sideways onto the mat, just as the door broke down. "Get on the floor!" someone yelled from behind a mask, guns pointed as six people or so charged into the room with eagle logos emblazoned on their vests.

Loki stared, puzzled. "Why? You said this place was safe." This guy was just getting more and more confusing. He still hadn't given a name, what S.H.I.E.L.D wanted him for,or a clear direction on where he wanted to stay. Not temporarily, permanently. The Norse god just wanted to stop moving around so much, it was making him dizzy.
________________
Madeline lopsidedly crawled across the floor beneath a bench that was against the wall. She gathered her legs to her chest and hugged them with her free arm while the other held her side. She was afraid to see what kind of beating and bruises the stick's impact had left on her fragile body. The man who had been beating the one with no name lay on the floor and she glanced at his face in terror before returning her focus to the new group of people who had entered with their guns.

"No place is ever really safe," the man replied stoically, glancing over at Loki, face plain as he continued, more of a statement than question, "is it." He looked back out to the trees, elbows on the banister. He almost looked normal for a moment, from the outside, dark hair blowing in the freeze and sun hitting him. He as handsome, underneath the scruff and grime, eyes full of expression, but face constantly frowning and body constantly tense. It was a stark contrast for one man in one body. "Where did you come from, Loki? To get here?"
---
Three of the masked figures went to pull the limp body of the man with the metal arm, that occasionally muttered incoherent sentences, off of the beaten, bloodied body of the other one. Two others went to check out the lifeless body, and the last, a red-haired woman apparently, as she took her helmet off, slowly headed towards Madeline. "Hey," she said softly, big eyes calm as she crept forward, lowering herself to be more on the woman's level, "hey, you don't look like you belong here." She smiled softly. "What's your name?"

"I told you once before... Asgard." he began. "You wont find any other place in this world like it." Images of his home coursed through his mind and he remembered all of it in its gentle glory. "It lies in a separate realm from here. And the royal family lives in the palace in the center, that's where I'm from. Our kingdom is spread out across the land with middle class folks. Our technology is advanced however we don't have your silly cars and buses. We take much better care of the flora that grows there." ______________________________________________
"My name is Madeline..." she mumbled, her voice trailing off distractedly. She was more concerned about what they were going to do with the man with the metal arm, his muscular, heavyset body was being pulled off the other.

"You don't look like you came from a kingdom, if you don't mind me saying," the Asset told him evenly, turning his pale eyes to scan Loki over. He was thin, hollows of his cheeks gray. He was steps away from being able to be considered emaciated, in the Asset's professional opinion. His hair lacked shine (like the Asset's) and that armor hung off of him awkwardly. He didn't look well. "You look like you've been fighting." He shrugged. He knew that look, and he didn't need to see it anymore right now, so he turned away, staring into the trees again, eyes glossing over.
---
"Madeline, hi, I'm..." "Nat!" One of the men, handling the man with the metal arm, currently restraining him, though he was unconscious for the most part, called. The woman looked up, brow furrowing in annoyance as she called back, voice still soft, but more commanding now: "What?" There was a pause, and then a, "I think you need to call in Captain Rogers." There was a pause on her end now, her back entirely to Madeline. "Why is that, Delgado?" "I never met him, ma'am, but I think this is James Barnes." A heavy silence fell over the room, one of confusion and shock and disbelief, before Natasha simply nodded, turning back to Madeline and holding out a hand, "Madeline, can you walk? We have to leave."

"You don't know the whole of it." Loki's piercing eyes narrowed. He clenched his fists on the wooden banister where it left little scrapes on his knuckles. Thinking of his "brother" made his blood pressure rise and his pale skin flush. That oaf. He didn't deserve a throne no matter how much he tried to prove himself to Odin. Their last battle had been months ago after Thor had returned from his banishment, and Loki... well Loki had fallen into a wormhole, traveling around the realms now.It was a rough way of living, and the reason why he wasn't as healthy looking as he usually did. ________________________________________
She would try. Without saying anything, she confirmed her answer with a small nod emerged slowly from beneath her tight space. The aches were getting worse, so she hugged herself tighter and used the bench to help guide her to a standing position again. James Barnes.... It was a nice name.

"I could guess," the man said simply, not pushing for more in-depth answers, just looking over at him again with those old, steady eyes, before sighing, and continuing on a different topic, "we'll be out of food before tomorrow night. One of us is going to have to go into town and get supplies." He figured that the god would ask him to, since he was the lesser, mortal being, apparently. He didn't mind. He was used to taking directions without any complaint at all.

Loki was satisfied he didn't prod deeper about his past. "Right, okay." And at this very rare occasion, he was feeling generous. This guy had offered him shelter and a place to stay, sort of. And Loki could travel easier with his teleporting skills, he would be quicker. he knew how to act in a human situation, he would just have to control his temper. "I'll go. You, stay and watch." "Okay," came the reply, a mild note of surprise creeping into his voice, since for once he had not been ordered around. He looked Loki up and down, and then said, simply, "You should change your clothes." He was in that armor, and, well, it drew attention, as did the hair, but that wasn't a quick fix. It was all tactical, really. He knew HYDRA and S.H.I.E.L.D. alike would have taken note of the strange man accompanying him, and he couldn't afford to draw either here now, not even if he needed to be wiped. He could compromise the entire organization.
[[ oh my god xD ]]

[[ sure! ]]
Natasha Romanoff was waiting for Madeline to wake up. They'd given her a light sedative to set her ribs and tend to her wounds once they'd gotten to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s main hospital. Now, the redhead sat next to the woman's bed, flipping through the day's newspaper in joggers and a hoodie, casually. There had been no one else to sit and wait, everyone else flocking the man who was apparently the once-thought-diseased Bucky Barnes, so Natasha had taken up the post. She didn't mind. Steve was in a fit, everyone was in a fit, and she was too tired to put up with it. She'd do something when she had orders.
Meanwhile, down in the wing of the hospital that was normally used for captured enemies, the nameless man was fighting at his restrains. He knew he was in S.H.I.E.L.D. He'd seen the logos. Panic was filling him, along with hatred. The restraints were strong though, but he still wormed and fought, hurting his wrists and ankles and chest, which was bound too, since he'd tried to flip the bed over. Everything was too much for him. His whole body ached. An IV dripped into one of his arms, and he couldn't rip out the tube. Pulse monitors were attached to his flesh fingers, and his arm was in a metal contraption designed to keep it from moving at all. His heart was hammering out of his chest, and he found himself crying out, almost in a pained way, as he tried to get out.

"That will be easy." Loki replied, he touched the collar of his heavy, leather outfit with the tips of his fingers. Sparks flew up around him and bright, white light flashed and disappeared. He was standing there with a new outfit that fit Earth's expectations. It was so much lighter and freeing, his shoulders felt like they could breath and Loki fixed his stature that he could stand taller. "I'll be back." he said. and turned into Arnold Shwarzeneggar with his super rad classes Loki went down the steps and faded into the sun's rays as soon as he muttered the familiar words to where he wanted to go. Madeline blinked awake, the bright lights interfered with her foggy vision. She turned her head, eyes half closed to see who was sitting beside her. It was the red-haired woman, the one they had called Nat. She had expected the other man, until she realized she was in a different place. Not the cell. He was missing. She groaned, touching her forehead with the back of her hand, the pain in her stomach was numb for now. The bed was comfy and warm unlike the last one. She closed her eyes again for a moment, muttering words of relief to herself. ...... Steve paced worriedly outside the hospital room that contained the man who could have only been James Buchanan Barnes. His friend, partner in work. It was hard to believe. He had begged the nurse several times to go in but they had insisted his delusional state would make him dangerous to confront. Steve had argued against that but his moral attitude kept him out until they decided to let him in. He could hear Bucky groaning and tossing around in his room and that made him more anxious.

It had only been twenty minutes, and the Asset was growing antsy. He actually realized he felt lonesome, a feeling he often didn't experience, without Loki here to speak to. He'd walked around the house for the first ten minutes, and now he was cleaning up things outside. There was rubbish everywhere, most of it filled with nesting animals, which he shooed off without too much of a worry. Most of them seemed to be scared of him anyways.
---
Natasha just watched her get used to her surroundings. She definitely hadn't been with HYDRA as long as Barnes has, not by a long shot, considering the fact that she still knew her name. They were looking to find information on her though, but hadn't yet. "There's water on the bedside table," she informed, setting her paper across her nap and leaning forward a little, stretching and popping her neck. It had been a long, long day. She was ready for a nap, but she'd made a mental promise to not leave this woman for awhile. She reminded her of herself, coming out of the Red Room, though she had probably been more like Barnes. "How are you feeling?"
After a few minutes, a nurse appeared around the corner, heading to Steve and saying cooly, "You can go in, Mr. Rogers, but please, don't expect him to be the man you knew. The MRI we conducted while he was unconscious revelaed tremendous brain damage from, well, from electrical shocks. He doesn't even know his name." But, she unlocked the reinforced door as she spoke, opening it slightly and making the yells louder, face stoic as she waited for Rogers to go in.

Loki had reappeared outside shortly after on the doorstep. He was wearing his Asgardian outfit when he got back. The other clothes had been comfortable to wear but he was much more used to his normal attire. The door was unlocked but because his hands were full he used his sorcery to turn the handle. Loki began unpacking the groceries as soon as he came inside, full of fresh food that hadn't been locked in a dank cabinet for weeks. ____________________________________________
The woman's voice broke the silence of the room. She could answer truthfully. The vibe Nat gave off was safe, friendly. There were no monsters here. She moved her arm back down to her side again. "I..I don't know yet." it was all such a sudden change. From that wretched prison to here. Madeline had finally gotten the sleep she needed without the man's eyes burning into her, watching her closely. But now that she could rest, her dreams were plagued by nightmares of another place. It seemed like a place she might have been before with strict rules and large burly men yelling in Russian... "Where is he?" ..... Steve thanked her with a small smile and tipped his head politely to her. He stepped inside the room which was lit by a dim lamp by Bucky's bedside. He didn't flip the switch to the main one in case sudden exposure to more light freaked him out. He took care to stand by the door and remain at a distance several feet away. His heart broke to see him like this. Rugged and broken with scars marring his skin all over his arms and face.

The Asset saw him come back in and waited a minute, finishing what he was doing before he headed up the porch and through the screen door. He glanced into the kitchen, watching as the God unpacked his wares in front of him. "You got a lot," he remarked mildly, blinking at him as he stepped fully into the kitchen, arms across his chest.
---
Natasha just blinked, taking her time in answering, picking up what was her own cup of water and taking a quick sip. She had set down her paper too, across her knees. "He's in another ward," she told Madeline finally, "you can't see him. He's dangerous, tried to strangle three men since he got here. They had to restrain him." She sipped on her water again, gauging her reaction. It wasn't gong to be pleasant.
The man just stared as the figure entered. His figurative hackles raised as he watched. The crying out had stopped now, and his jaw was set, eyes sliding across the room until they were locked right in front of him. His jaw was clenching and unclenchinf. He was ready for a painful questioning.

"I noticed." Loki put simply, unpacking the last of it and put it where it belonged. It would have been expensive if he had used Midgardian money, but Loki had slyly used Asgardian currency which looked like gold. He had bribed the cashier with the least valuable pieces he had on himself. If converted to money it would have only been worth a few dollars. They had foolishly taken up the offer. "I didn't know how long we would be staying here." _______________________________________
Madeline knew how harsh he could be with all the training they had done, but she didn't believe he was entirely dangerous. It didn't matter though, it wasn't her place to care, she had just wondered what they had done to him. She was tired and did not ask further about him. "Where am I? What was that other place, do you know what they were doing?" Maybe she could finally get answers from someone who acted human. They had been crowding her head for ages. ..... Steve frowned. He would have liked to call Bucky by his name, catch up. But his "friend" was in no state to do that. He was a stranger now. He didn't know how to start a conversation with him. "Y-you were groaning... in your sleep." he pointed out the obvious but it was all he could think of.

"It all depends on how long S.H.I.E.L.D. takes to find out where we've gone," he said blandly, reaching into the cabinet and pulling down a bag of popcorn, a rarely eaten treat that he couldn't remember having for a long time. He ripped the top open easily, almost off in fact, as he reached in, crunching on a mouthful messily, cheeks puffing out as he leaned back on the counter.
---
"You're in a hospital that belongs to the intelligence organization S.H.I.E.L.D.," Natasha began, hands folding in her lap as her eyes drank Madeline in. She knew it was obvious that she was trying to figure the woman out, but she didn't really care too much. "The people who held you captive are part of our rival group, HYDRA. They're the leftovers of what was a Nazi organization during World War II. We're not sure yet, but we believe they were trying to brainwash you and turn you into some kind of soldier for their cause," she shrugged, smiling wryly as she added, "but they managed to wipe all of their computers."
No response to that. He couldn't show that he was in pain, both physical and mental. His eyes slowly made their way to the unfamiliar blonde man, and blandly he asked, "Where am I?" He was in a S.H.I.E.L.D. base, so he specified, "What are you planning on doing to me?" His face was hard, but his eyes flickered around for a moment, possibly scared.

"That's awful." her gaze flickered over the ceiling. If that had been their goal, then they had been pretty darn successful at brainwashing her of everything she knew except a name. So that was why the other man--- James, couldn't remember his. HYDRA had commited the exact same cruel act on him. "But we're safe now?" her eyes were round with fear and dark circles beneath. She felt like a naive child without any power or knowledge of the events happening around her, clinging on to life barely, only because of the work of other people. It was a sick feeling; she was young, but not at an age where she was supposed to be incapable of supporting herself. ......
"You're in a safe place, Buck." he experimented with the name to see if he could get some kind of miracle response out of it it, in case there was still a part of the other man left in him. "S.H.I.E.L.D.'s hospital, matter of fact. They're going to heal you." Steve didn't mention the part where he would possibly ask Director Fury if he would consider offering Bucky a chance to be recruited as an agent later on once he was restored, or at least be able to work alongside him in his work. That would be later.

"That sounds reasonable to me," the Asset confirmed, and then tacked on, a bit nervously, "if it is reasonable for you, that is." He still wasn't sure how to speak, not used to having the ability to say whatever he wanted without harsh and painful repercussions that normally involved a bloodied face, broken bones, and that chair. He twitched at the thought of it, but of course, a part of his mind tried to say he needed it. He needed it to be himself.

Natasha nodded, face growing serious again as she peered into Madeline's dark eyes. "You're not in any danger here, trust me. We'll all keep you safe," she told the younger woman, tentatively reaching out and touching her hand. Yeah, just like her, except for the fact that she wasn't kicking and screaming and biting and yelling while trying to fashion newspapers into shanks. Natasha had been in the Red Room for far too long to be as adjusted and talkative as Madeline was right now. If anything, the girl needed some kind companionship and a couple of good meals. "Do you remember anything about your past at all?"
Huffing, the man shook his head furiously. He hadn't even noticed the name Buck slipped in there, and he shook his head again, mouth quavering as he tugged on his restraints. S.H.I.E.L.D. was bad. They would try to get information out of him. If they got information out of him he would be punished. A bead of sweat trickled down from his matted hair as he fought even more angrily agains the metal binding him to the bed, teeth gritting. He had to get out. He was going to kill them all, damnit.

"It's fine. I'll do it now." Loki walked back outside to set it up. He was a complicated soul, he always had been. To most people, the trickster god seemed cold and hard-shelled with no sense of respect for others. But inside, there was a sense of care he had for those who were important to him. He'd once felt this for Thor, but he felt that that was slowly disintegrating. Frigga, his mother, although not biologically, was another for whom he held close to his heart, she had raised him as an equal unlike Odin, and so he still loved her dearly. This man he was traveling with was slowly starting to become a friend, as it was obvious that doing these jobs to help him out bothered him less and less. ______________________________________________
"No." she murmured, shaking her head with as little movement as possible. There was nothing she could recall except for the past few weeks and she didn't need to explain all of it here. But there had been the dreams... maybe there was an explanation for that? "But I have been having these dreams, they're very frightening. But I also feel as if I'm connected to them somehow..." she hoped that this was the right idea. ..... It was hard to stay where he was without running over to hold him down. He had to keep his feet glued to the ground and stay calm, for the safety of everyone, including himself and Bucky. "Stop." he said stiffly, hating himself. "Fighting it isn't going to work." Trying to convince him of anything isn't going to work. Steve's mind screamed. You're being stupid. Not trying hard enough.
