Are their any idiotic plotlines in Warriors that could have been avoided if the characters haven't been such idiots? What some examples of particularly painfully stupid mistakes that the characters have made in the series?

The secret of Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and Hollyleaf would never have happened if Ashfur knew how to handle rejection.

My birth
Well... had Fireheart mentioned Tigerstar's involvement in graypool's death... then maybe good ole Leo would have been more reluctant to join forces with Tigerstar. Just a maybe though.

Gray Wing not telling anyone about a dangerous rogue planning to destroy the groups, because it might make Tall Shadow unhappy.

Gray Wing not telling anyone about a dangerous rogue planning to destroy the groups, because it might make Tall Shadow unhappy. Yes, also; -nobody noticing pregnant medicine cats -Ashfur not being able to handle rejection (Come on, you just ruined a loyal warrior)

Ooh, I have another one;
When Bluestar's kits get "lost", and suddenly some kits that look EXACTLY like Bluestar's kits end up in Riverclan, and nobody notices as they grow up.

Everything involving Leafpool and Crowfeather… The whole thing involving Squirrelflight seemed like needless drama, especially since they got back together in the end… More of example of the writers, but the whole idea of Hollyleaf not being the fourth, and Dovewing shoved in the story… Heck, the whole idea of powers was handled badly… Spoilers for recent books below: Rowanstar not stopping the rebelling apprentices… Skyclan trusting Darktail way too easily and ignoring Hawkwing…
Splitting the kits up at the beginning of AVOS, which ultimately causes all the problems in the books after that… It gets so bad that one of them threatens to go back to Thunderclan, and finally turns on everyone…

I kind of don't get why after the fire scene, Squirrelflight didn't just tell the three that it was a lie and she just wanted to protect them from Ashfur and that she is their mother... Then they could tell Firestar about it and problem would be solved..

It was weird when Graypool started talking to Tigerstar, thinking he was Oakheart and rambling about Bluestar's kits. It seemed unrealistic.

Fireheart telling Bluestar about everything Tigerclaw did an planned, like killing Redtail, seting the trap by the thunderpath and so on, and then Bluestar was just like "Nope. Don't see any evil there."

Oh boyyyy
Uhm, let's start with Jayfeather's obsession with keeping every aspect of the prophecy a secret even though it inevitably would effect the whole clan. Forcing Dovewing to hide the secret from Ivypool was so stupid.
Firestar, I love you, but when a psycho power-hungry cat who killed the former deputy, a queen, a respected warrior, a Windclan apprentice, Ravenpaw's chances of ever staying in Thunderclan and almost killed your leader, I suggest you NOT sit there at the gathering looking at Tigerstar and thinking. "Oh hey, maybe he's changed after he practically manipulated an ill clan, led rouges and attacked my clanmates and became leader of Shadowclan, I bet he'll be alrighty."
No. Tell all the clans what bullcrap Tigerstar did right then and there. Get him forced out.
Why exactly did Bramblestar get all angry at Squirrelflight having a secret to protect her sister and her job and genuinely being a fantastic foster mother, when he was off every night playing "catch these demon paws, son" with Tigerstar and using his rank to secretly meet up with a cat from another clan? Hm? Did Squirrelflight ever completely give up on you when you acted like an idiot? What is with all these cats trusting Tigerstar, in any way shape or form?
Swiftpaw do NOT fight dogs with only Brightpaw as your squad. Forget crazy Bluestar's stupid rules, if you scent dog, which I know you could due to you being well over the age of warriorhood, then just walk right on back home. Also, just don;t run off to prove yourself in the first place. It never ends well.
Do Leafpool and Squirrelflight have powers or something? Cause I'm pretty sure they could freakin sense eachother from far away, I swear I read it like that.
Blackstar, and every leader almost ever at some point, please listen to your medicine cat, Goosefeather gets a pass, even though he predicts at 100 percent power level, but come on. Blackstar, do not ignore Littlecloud. Last time I checked, he was more honest and noble than you ever were. Check yourself and don't trust a STRANGER over your own Medicine cat, who, happened to save his clan from dying of horrible illness. Mistystar, Mothwing should have never be considered to step down from her job, Willowshine is there to believe, but Mothwing is a great medicine cat even if her beliefs are different.

Like what so many of you are saying, I highly doubt that cats have the resources to disguise unwanted pregnancies like humans.

From what I read, Firestar wasn't exactly the most intelligent of "people" (people-cats anyone) around. How come with any various forms of entertainment (movies, novels, tv shows, etc), the plot is manly driven by the characters with low level of intelligence?

Why Firestar kept trying to protect/stay with Graystripe during his obsession with Silverstream.
Dude, someone who's so in love with someone so much they're willing to beat up their best friend over it isn't worth trying to fix your relationship with. Just let him go, whatever crud he gets into shouldn't be your concern. Keeping an eye on Tigerstar is more important. And for StarClan's sake tell Bluestar about Brackenpaw! Tell her Graystripe isn't fit to be a mentor and give him to someone else. When Graystripe gets his head out of the sand then you can rekindle that relationship.

I agree with this, and also, how did only Fireheart and sometimes Tigerclaw notice that Graystripe was gone all the time? He was constantly sneaking off, he was never there for any patrols, he was distracted and tired, his apprentice was being neglected, and somehow everybody was so shocked when he came back with another clan's kits. Nobody noticed that something was up?

Do Leafpool and Squirrelflight have powers or something? Cause I'm pretty sure they could freakin sense eachother from far away, I swear I read it like that. I remember reading that Squirrelflight and Leafpool had a strong enough spiritual bond to be able to "sense" each other's thoughts and feelings at times.
